SERIOUS LACK OF CONFIDENCE IN BMW LEEDS STRATSONE



I purchased my vehicle from Leeds BMW - Stratstone and was very disappointed with the service I received.

There was a number of agreements made as part of the purchase which were not followed through or met. I was misled and lied to.

Once I complained I was then accused weeks later of my part exchange having issues. I was then threatened by BMW, that they would take action to reverse the agreement and not process our part exchange. To date my part exchange has not been processed and finance not yet settled by them.

I had my new purchase checked by BMW Glasgow shortly after I received it as I wished a second opinion due to a loss of confidence in BMW Leeds. Glasgow BMW confirmed my concerns.

I raised my concerns with various members of Leeds BMW including the Head of Business and Customer Services and to date they have not fully considered it. The matter seems to be ‘brushed under the carpet’ by those the complaint has been made against.

Given it’s a BMW garage and not a side street garage I would have expected a professional approach and not simply told they are right and I am wrong.

This matter is still outstanding and not settled.

Hari, at the customer services desk was very helpful in assisting me to where I needed to be, and was utmost professional to quickly and efficiently guide me through the services process and also supported with several queries I needed raising with sales.

Head of Sales, Leeds, advised in his email:
'we can offer 10.9 APR with BMW finance which is actually a flat rate of interest of only 5.5% - very comparable to the bank of interest base rate of 5.25%.'
Just one of several unsafe pieces of advice intended to get a sale across the line. Stratstone disinterested in whether advice FCA compliant, written style antagonistic, ..... will ensure we take the service requirements for our two recently acquired BMW's elsewhere in the future!

What can I say? I love coming to this garage. The receptionist Hari is always waiting there with a massive smile, offers me a drink and remembers my name! Lovely friendly service! Always a pleasure visiting.

Bad experience with Stratstone whilst owning my recent vehicle. Always an issue when I’ve been in. They curbed my alloy whilst taking it in for repair. It went back in twice to be refurbed but by the looks of it they only swapped my alloys round. Still waiting for them to show me a receipt of when it was done or even come back to me with an explanation. No real interest in aftercare.

My recent experience with this main dealer was truly outstanding, far surpassing any previous encounters I’ve had. Jay’s exceptional professionalism and dedication were evident from the very beginning. He consistently kept me informed throughout the entire process, ensuring I was always up-to-date. Every promise made was fulfilled with remarkable efficiency and timeliness. The level of service provided was nothing short of exemplary, making this an unforgettable and highly positive experience.

Top notch welcome from Hari when I arrived as Strastone. Georgia was efficient, effective and very personable throughout the purchase process. A great team!

Bought a new bmw m340d touring from stratstone Leeds.
The car actually cost less new than one I was initially buying elsewhere that was 6 months old and had 4k miles on the clock.
The guy I dealt with found me a car in the colour I wanted and the touring. Delivery was done in 2 weeks which was very quick according to people I’ve spoken to. Waiting times have been a month or more.
They put my private reg on the car. Full tank of fuel.
Everything went smooth, didn’t feel pressured into anything.
Great experience.

I recently purchased my first BMW and couldn't been in more capable hands.
From the first enquiry I made to driving it off the forecourt it was the easiest, stress-free car buying experience ever.
Mark Bowden, Sales Consultant was amazing. He answered all of my questions, was extremely knowledgeable, professonal and really nice. There was no pressure, he didn't keep running to his Manager to see 'what he could do' and was one of the main reasons why I chose a BMW.
I had done my homework and test driven a number of other makes but none of them offered the same style and refinement as the BMW.
The showroom was very modern and spacious and all of the staff I came in contact with were all really nice and polite.
The service I received from Mark and Stratstone Leeds was excellent and I would recommend them to family, friends and strangers alike and I am now the proud owner of a Series 1 M Sport in a gorgeous blue.

I purchased an approved used BMW from Stratstone a few months ago. The sales process was pretty good - great communication from Nathan and Hamish and the car was clean and prepped to a good standard. Unfortunately there was an issue that developed with my car (it happens and car is 8 years old so not unreasonable) - despite a bit of miscommunication at the start of the after sales process I am very happy with the resolution and the way in which the problem was dealt with overall. Heather was particularly helpful in assisting me with getting things resolved.

it was a great experience buying a car from Leeds BMW, from start to finish, Kamal was excellent as were Pedro and Robbie the management team.
Highly recommended.

Stratstone bmw, Leeds since my first purchase during Covid (remote sale, no test drive) to my wife’s most recent purchase, the service levels have been amazing.

There have been bumps in the road from system issues with custom options orders to stock availability but over the last 36 months:

Dealership mentality has changed and now with price transparency the focus has to be on service and Leeds Stratstone, has delivered 4 cars in a row with fantastic service and aftercare.

Tip for anyone invited to VIP Events, the offers are what they say they are- unique to the event. I’ve been to other group VIP events and been offered the same value than non-events. Stratstone vip event deals are something to pay attention to.

Recently purchased My BMW X5 from Stratstone BMW Leeds. Brilliant and accommodating service throughout and particularly from Hamish, Idrees and Ben. I would 100% recommend this dealership and BMW as a brand.

The first thing I noticed at Stratstone Leeds was the calm welcoming mood in the showroom.
I went to order a new car, I was on the verge of petrol/electric/petrol?
Helen was great very professional, we discussed the cars she answered all my questions, nothing was rushed. A great experience, job done, electric it is.

Enquired about the car on Thursday and was sent a video the people I felt with in particular Georgia was great and very helpful, few minor issues but was resolved straight away and always on hand for any questions
