Great experience from start to finish, and go the price I wanted. Would recommend. Payment was made on day of pickup, before the buyer had even left. Was a great experience

The process is extremely efficient and the app is easy to use. The only issue is that every blemish on the car (interior, exterior and even engine) must be photographed so that the prospective purchasers have all the information. This is not always straightforward as the ordinary public are not necessarily aware of what constitutes a blemish as opposed to fair wear and tear.

This was a more challenging experience for us compered to 3 years ago when we last used them.
They have definitley altered their processes which I think makes the process more long winded.
We took all the photos and uploaded them including any marks, scratches, dents etc.
We then had a long conversation with a Motorway analyst who discusses what you upload and then he altered the price from the original quote (which is an average). In our case the price was reduced by about £450. The advert goes out to all the dealers and 24 hrs later the winning bid was declared. Strangely the winning bid was exactly the same price that Motorway had said the car was worth after we uploaded all the photos.
We then had emails confirming the winning bid, and that the AA would likely be inspecting the car, and would contact us to arrange a date. 5 hours later we had an email asking us to select a collection date for the car. (I assumed the AA were not coming).
E mails went back and forth because no one had contacted us about a collection date, when in fact what should have happened was to chase the AA to confirm when they were coming. This happened 4 days later when they finally contacted us, because our contact number was incomplete. Do not put +44 at the front of the number, Motorways system does not recognise this. Both somebody from the dealership or the AA should have realised the first 0 was missing!!!.
The AA arrived 3 working days later, they submit a report to the dealer/Motorway who then arranges for collection and payment.
Once the AA had been this part of the process was straight forward and relatively quick.
We would think twice before using Motorway again (as there are other companies, Cinch, Auto trader) doing similar things.

Everything was fine within the process, got the agreed price, however, this was just over £1000 less than the original estimate provided by Motorway.

Great Accepted the offer on our Range Rover and the dealer contacted us within 4 days not the usual two days as they had a man off sick The change of ownership to the dealer could not have been smoother Would definately recommend Motorway

A straight forward service from start to finish. Car was realistically priced and actually got more than the value given.
My only advice is to retain your private plate as soon as possible as this can slow down the sale.

It was a very simple process. 2nd time using motorway and fair valuations.

I accepted the offer on 1 Mar and it took 18 days and so many calls to arrange the dealer to send the mechanic to check the car. But the car was not sold due the to mechanic said the 3rd to 4th gear is not smooth and the rust underneath the car. The dealer tried to knot £1,300 off the offer and I rejected the low offer. I don't trust their 6 month old experience mechanic report. I have a 40 years old experience mechanic to check my car and sold my car on the same day. Motorway emailed me that I have to provide invoice to proof I rectified the problems so they can resell my car. The experience is frustrated and the offer is not a genuine & sincere offer. It is wasting my time to use Motorway to sell my car.

Motorway kept me up to date throughout the whole process. Clear instructions were given as to what to do and what to expect next. Collection driver was on time and very polite. Payment made instantly for full amount I expected. The only negative was that the value first quoted was much more than what we got in the auction. Thought the value given was ‘reserve’ and as a result would not sell at auction for less than the ‘reserve’ price.

Overall the experience with Motoroway was positive, and I received a significantly higher offer than part-exchange or other vehicle selling services.

Unfortunately my collection was cancelled at 12pm on the first day of collection due to driver illness, which meant I had to rearrange collection and postpone the collection of my new vehicle.

Despite this set-back, dealing with Motorway was quick and staff were always helpful. My car was promptly collected on the rearranged date and the driver was friendly and professional.

Motorway was very easy to use and the communication and follow up were very good but the price you get is nowhere near the price they give you at the start

A lot of effort uploading photos and evidence, with additional phone call checks. In the end, the buyer decided not to buy the car for reasons of their own. A lot of wasted time for no outcome.

Having had little interest selling privately I was offered a reasonable price for the vehicle, not overly generous but around what I would have got trading it in. Once you've jumped through the hoops to get all the photos of the vehicle taken, and all the documentation uploaded t went quite well. Liam kept in touch over collection which was easy enough, once he had taken more photos! and sent them off, and the dealer paid the money over quickly and all was done. Happy to recommend as long as you're not expecting a high 'retail' valuation.
