It is such a disappointment and wasting my time

I accepted the offer on 1 Mar and it took 18 days and so many calls to arrange the dealer to send the mechanic to check the car. But the car was not sold due the to mechanic said the 3rd to 4th gear is not smooth and the rust underneath the car. The dealer tried to knot £1,300 off the offer and I rejected the low offer. I don't trust their 6 month old experience mechanic report. I have a 40 years old experience mechanic to check my car and sold my car on the same day. Motorway emailed me that I have to provide invoice to proof I rectified the problems so they can resell my car. The experience is frustrated and the offer is not a genuine & sincere offer. It is wasting my time to use Motorway to sell my car.

If a buyer identifies any issues at the point of collection that were not listed on your selling profile, they may choose to cancel the sale or adjust their offer to reflect the findings. This is because the offer is based on the accuracy of the information provided and advertised. In this instance, the buyer identified underside rust and a gearbox issue during inspection and supplied photos taken at the time, which had not been disclosed prior to listing.

Due to the mechanical concern relating to the gearbox, we would need a report from a professional garage before relisting the vehicle. As we are remote from the inspection, this confirmation is necessary to ensure there are no faults with the vehicle and to ensure the same or similar situation does not arise again if you were to relist your vehicle into another sale.
