I had a great experience buying from Evans Halshaw Renault in Middlesbrough. I bought the car from a distance and Maboob Sadiq from that branch is a credit to your company. Nothing was ever too much trouble and answered all my questions in a timely manner. Had an issue with initial car delivered which was not their fault but it was sorted out and exchanged really easily. Tony the branch manager was helpful too but wanted to give a big thank you to Mab for a great customer service experience and I am extremely happy with my Nissan Leaf I bought. Will highly recommend this particular branch to anyone.

In a dangerous position that cars can go into the rear of her vehicle, This puts other drivers at risk, RAC have found faults on this vehicle but when taken to Renault they find no fault.
They say this vehicle is safe to drive, it is an intermittent fault.
Well in my opinion this car is unsafe, should she have someone go into the back of this car whilst driving I hold Renault responsible.
Do not buy Renault car the service and help you receive is nil.
Very poor sevice
After my service with in one mile my drivers side front wheel trim came off and was ran over by a wagon when I went back and reported the issue I was told by the service manager that the wheel trim can come off at any time !! I have had the car for over 14 months and non of the wheel trims have fallen off ?? He told me to go to the parts department and order a replacement about £30. He did not ask me my name or car reg so how did he know what service my car in for, VERY DISAPIONTED

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Headline: A 600-Mile Nightmare: Faulty Cars, Blatant Lies, and Zero Accountability
I am writing this to warn others: Do NOT use this dealership. My experience with "H" and the team has been a catalogue of incompetence that has left me £1,000 out of pocket and exhausted from constant 100-mile round trips.
The "Terminal" Car & The Relisting Scam
The issues started the moment I got my car home. On day one, the car was cutting out, the windows failed, the battery light was on, and I was given the wrong second key. When I called the next morning, "H" claimed they "put old batteries in on the forecourt" and forgot to swap it for a new one. I drove 100 miles back for a replacement, but the car continued to cut out.
I was repeatedly "fobbed off" and told a car cutting out is "normal behaviour." Only after escalating to management did they take the car back. A week later, they admitted the car had a terminal electrical issue. Shockingly, after I paid an extra £1,000 to switch to a different vehicle, I saw that same "terminal" car back up for sale on their website the very next day. They are actively looking for their next victim.
The Service Plan Deception
I was sold an Emac service plan under the claim that I must use their garages. I specifically requested a non-electric courtesy car because a 100-mile range wouldn’t get me home and to work. I was promised a Clio Hybrid or even a van.
Despite calling a week early to confirm, I set off at 6:00 AM for my service only to be presented with an electric car. They refused to help, meaning I had to drive another 50 miles home without the service—only to be told I owed £5 for the plan and £20 for a car I couldn’t even use.
The Final Insult
The service desk eventually admitted that the sales team lied: I could have used any Emac-participating garage, including one right up the road from me in Whitby. They only lied to keep the labor in-house. I'm still not even sure that this is true either.
While Emac has been very helpful, this dealership refuses to refund a £35 cancellation charge despite the days off work and hundreds of miles I’ve wasted. I have never received a single apology. They are unprofessional, dishonest, and quite frankly, crooks. Avoid at all costs.

“Disappointed with my recent service at Evan Halshaw Renault Middlesbrough. I was supposed to receive a video vehicle health check but never did, with no explanation. My car was also returned uncleaned, which is the first time a main dealer hasn’t done this. Small touches like this make a big difference, and the lack of care left the experience feeling below expectations.”

AROUND 35 MINUTES LATER AT 11.53 THE PHONE CALL CAME TO SAY MY CAR WAS READY WHICH WAS 43 MINUTES FROM WHEN I SEEN IT IN THE CAR PARK HAVE ALREADY COMPLAINED TO THERE CUSTOMER CARE WITH ABSOLUTELY NO FEED BACK WHAT SO EVER ALL HAPPENED ON 10 01,2026 IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN A ZERO I WOULD HAVE DONE .
Well once again for the fourth time they send an email to go to help/evanshalshaw.com im stilk waiting for a reply when i made this same complaint on 10/01/26 at pricisely 20.08 pm and im still waitng
