5 star service from David and the team at the dealership, it's has been 8yrs since I have bought a vehicle and it has all changed, but David guided me through the process step by step, including retention of my cherished plate all the way to handover of my car, I will be back when the time comes to change my car I will not be going anywhere else

Traded in my car for a 2nd hand Ford. The actual buying / financing part of the trade in was excellent and smooth. The salesman who I dealt with, Ross, I was told on numerous occasions was new and so James a manager stepped in multiple times to correct information and explain things in more detail.
The handover of my car and to get my new car wasn’t so smooth. I was asked to change times twice, the second 40 mins before I was due to arrive which didn’t suit as I was already on my way. On arrival I had to wait 20 mins despite being booked in. I then discovered an error with how long the MOT had as the salesman had read the completely wrong date to me previously. I was told “it’s basically a year” (it was nearly 2 months off). I was then asked to “settle the remaining balance” (I took PCP). And once everything was finalised I got an email 2 hours later asking me to send proof of insurance, address and my licence -surely this should have been done at the time of transfer of sale? I understand people are new to jobs but surely adequate training should be provided to prevent managers having to step in several times and basic errors avoided?
Overall a fair car buying experience.

Recently traded my car in for a second hand car. The service was brilliant, I dealt with David who made the whole process easy and straight forward. i explained what I was looking for and he found me the perfect car! I collected it last week, the car is immaculate and I love it! This is my second car from evans halshaw in Kirkintilloch, they have the loveliest staff. Many thanks to David for all his help!

Wasn't great from the start luckily i liked the car, David just seemed completely disinterested, with little or no knowledge about the car i was looking at. best answer i got was we sell fords when asking anything about the Audi, While i do like the fact there wasn't a sales push a little bit of effort wouldn't go a miss. despite this I still went ahead with the finance application paid the deposit to take car off the market as i was potentially buying the car not the salesman, unfortunately the finance application was refused as they wanted me to pay of an existing finance to another car that was my partners. So as an alternative i suggested through email to take the car in my partners name and how would we go about doing this with no response whatsoever despite several calls "always busy with a customer, not in or in meeting" during this time i managed to source and purchase another car from another dealer in my own name . meanwhile i am still awaiting the return of deposit at the time of writing this. The car i paid deposit for to take of the market with them was back up an advertised the day after i paid this deposit rendering deposit pointless, despite offering a solution to purchase the vehicle. James and David both completely ignored all correspondence throughout the whole process. wouldn't entertain using this company or EVANS HALSHAW after this experience i stupidly Assumed a larger garage would be more professional.
