Went to view Mini ND68 ZBY after reserving for £200. Advised the car had been seen to them from BMW. From my research this usually means it’s because they don’t meet Mini’s approved used standards so are shipped out to other dealerships. Upon test drive there was water running down the inside of the car from the seat belt holders front and back on the drivers side, a wet patch on the roof and mould on the drivers seatbelt. Technicians were going to take a look. No negotiation on price, fixed at £10,790 which we agreed we would pay if the issues we found were rectified. 3 days later I received a phone call to say a technician had sat inside the car whilst it was jet washed and could find no leak and the seal didn’t need replacing, alloys would also not be repaired due to age of car. We did not proceed with the car on the basis they couldn’t find the source of the leak, we were not satisfied there was no water coming in after their fairly simple test. Car is now re advertised at lower price. Posting as a warning to anyone thinking of viewing this car to check for water in the areas above. Only giving 2 stars as the Sales Associate who we dealt with was friendly and deposit was refunded quickly.

I have been dealing with Evans Halshaw Rotherham for a few years now and they are so down to earth and professional, and it might surprise people but the servicing costs are really good, they take so much stress out of everything. I have just bought a new car from them trading in my old car, James and David were awesome, at a time when we are dealing with a loss in our family, these guys took all the stress out of everything with the new car.

I bought from Evans Halshaws before and this is why I’ve returned…. This time with my daughter for her new car … dealt with a really good lad called Zack … the process went really smoothly and never once was we made to feel pressurised into adding the extra packages they offer
Zack was very attentive and found us the best finance deal …. Also put us on 12months mot and a A class valet ….. thanks guys
