Just tried doing my online taxes with these H & R Block people. A total Nightmare. It give me about 15 errors than told me my return was in risk for an Audit. Next they wanted me to purchase protection? I Called their Help line and could understand half of what the rep was saying. Meaning she had great difficultly speaking English. She couldn't tell me how to delete my already started tax return?? This took me over 1 hour and nothing was done? I than went to Cloud Tax and it appears everything was done in less than 10 minutes and filed. Wait and see.

I met with Anita Sulatania this morning to do my taxes and she was amazing. Answered questions I had been searching for awhile. She was extremely helpful and very pleasant. 5 stars for Anita!

I had been using HR Block for years but will definitely look elsewhere from now on.
I am retired and my taxes are basic. The only glitch seemed to be having a T3 for minimal, and I mean minimal investment income. I was charged $368.00! My husband was charged $160.00 because he didn't have a T3.
This was absolutely shocking! I paid $199.00 last year for the absolute same tax information. I would have given a 1 star review had it not been for the person actually doing my taxes and trying to bring that cost down!
If you're retired and make average earnings and have investment income prepare to pay!

I have filed my own taxes online for years, but this year it was overwhelming with life. I took my tax info to H&R Block in Bridgewater NS. I had Pat Joudrey file them. She was professional, knowledgeable and treated me with respect. Pat has a warm welcoming voice that instantly puts you at ease. I will definitely recommend her and H&R Block in the future!!!!

If I could give a "0" I would. I've used H&R block for many years and the last 3 years they not only do a terrible job, they actually refuse to answer the online messaging! Last year they filed late despite my being a month early in submissions and this year, it's the same thing. DO NOT USE H&R BLOCK. Terrible service. I went to a local company instead and they gave me same day service! How refreshing to find great service!

Horrible experience and then denied my cost on getting my income tax done for receiving such a horrible experience. It’s gonna leave it at that! I wouldn’t recommend H&R Block to my worst enemy

I am writing to say that I’ve been a customer of H&R Block for over 50 years actually since 1975. I had taken my taxes to the H&R Block the last three years I saw an increase of 30% every year cost of filing. I am a senior disabled and on a fixed income. I can’t see them justifying such a ridiculous race in charging this amount I will never never go back to H&R Block as they have ripped me off.

Très mauvais service. On nous dit que nos rapports d'impôts seront mis sur le haut de la pile, qu'ils seront faits rapidement. Ils ont été produits en retard, trois (3) mois plus tard. Mme Sévigny ne lit jamais ses courriels, ne retourne pas les appels, se fiche éperdument de nous. Pour lui parler, on doit se présenter sur place. On lui pose une question, elle promet (jure) de nous revenir avec la réponse mais elle ne le fait pas. Ca été l'enfer! Plus jamais!

Absolute disaster. Arranged in person interview. Tax consultant was clearly overwhelmed and unable to grasp some of the nuances of our return. Price quoted VASTLY higher than posted online. Left me a voicemail 7 days indicating she was too busy and taking some time off. Gave name of another consultant who was not available either and they said they would find someone to do the returns. Never heard back. Went to office and picked up returns. No apologies of note. Clearly not professional. Spending a boy more now with professional CPA. Amateurs are not worth the cheaper price.

Ma spécialiste est madame Kugadas. Elle s’occupe de mes impôts depuis 10 ans maintenant. J’ai toujours un service rapide et efficace et je n’ai jamais eu de problèmes avec les gouvernements. C’est avec gentillesse et bienveillance qu’elle m’accueille chaque printemps. On se revoit l’an prochain, Madame.

The person who was doing the work was unprofessional in that she asked for confidential documents, she claimed to have done more work than was necessary on a simple return, and she inquired how much the client paid for a previous return and flatly stated that the work she was doing would be far more costly--a most disappointing experience.

Disorganized office. No communication between accountants. They couldn't find my file. I had to go back to the location for my tax "appointment" but it was literally to sign the document to push my return through to CRA. No sit-down. No questions about income, spending, invoices, receipts, other than rent which they were very interested in, but gave me a form to fill out which was headed LANDLORDS. I am a tenant. Then I was CHARGED ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY ONE DOLLARS AND NINETY NINE CENTS for two T-4s, for a return of LESS than $800. I have NEVER in my life paid any individual to do my taxes for that amount of money to receive such a PATHETIC return. I am kicking myself for using and or trusting H and R Block. My elderly accountant retired. I needed my taxes filed. HUGE MISTAKE

First Time Visiting in H&R block makes me fully satisfied . Customer service provided by Mr. Om was amazing transparent , genuine and well understood so i would like to Thanks Mr . Om and H&R block . worth to visit in H&R block !!!!

I have had my taxes done by Marcia Hutson at 100 University for many years . It always feels as if I am going to visit an old friend and look forward to seeing her . I have never had a letter from the CTA to let me know there was any kind of problems with my tax return . Marcia is fast and efficient as well as a joy to spend some time with . I'll look forward to seeing her next time . Thanks once again Zelma

J'avais rendez-vous confirmé le 22 mars 2026, a 15h,j'arrive ,plus de préposé, seul la contable,en me disant qu'il faut reprendre rendez-vous parce qu'il ferme a 16h, bravos les champions,donc je vais retourner ou j'etait,une note sur 10 je dirais un gros 0

I visited the 17 AV SW Calgary location. Spoke to a supposed 'senior expert'. Abysmal is all I can say. Website states 'We find money others miss', quite the opposite. I am no accountant, but what was relayed to me about my refund did not make sense. A very simple deduction, in regards to working from home, was totally missed. Thank goodness I listened to my instincts, got out of there and got a second opinion. Would have cost me $1400 and the headache of dealing with CRA. Avoid like the plague, unless you do not care about your money.
