I purchased a 2021 Jaguar E Pace with 30,000 miles on it from Evans Halshaw Chester and paid £995 for the extended 3 year warranty. Just over 3 months into having the car the car completely shut down whilst driving and has been off the road, undriveable for the past 3 weeks. It needs a dc-dc converter which I have since found it is a hybrid component and a vital part for the car to even turn on! A claim was submitted to Pendragon for it to be covered under the premium guarantee but because this particular part isn't listed on the 'what's covered' page, they will not cover the cost. They have said because my car is a MHEV the premium guarantee is fine but no hybrid/electric parts are covered on the guarantee! I am currently waiting for a response from Evans Halshaw Chester as I am now going to be out of pocket over £2,500 for a car and warranty, I spent £27,000 on just over 3 months ago. The warranty I have is completely useless for my car, if it doesn't cover a part which has failed due to no fault of my own, and the car needs! Despite trying to come to an agreement with Pendragon, all they keep saying is that it is not listed on the page so it is not covered. Outdated warranty which isn't fit for purpose, just like my car!

Normally when you deal with management of big companies you’re seen as a number in a list, but not with their absolute angel of a worker Leanne! She went above and beyond and made the whole process as stress free as she possibly could! She done everything in her power to get the ball rolling and not to mention her kind hearted and fast replies!
The woman truly is an angel! I stress very easily and felt so much comfort and was put completely at ease with Leanne! I’m beyond lucky to have her telling me through each step of the process!

I contacted Evans Halshaw Guarantee to make a claim regarding a vehicle I had purchased. Although there was an issue with the service schedule on my part due to exceptional circumstances, Evans Halshaw authorised the repairs as a gesture of goodwill.
I found the member of staff I dealt with to be compassionate, understanding, and extremely efficient throughout the process. I truly cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism and support.

My claim was dealt with brilliantly by Leanne and it was handled quickly, no messing about, documents asked for documents received, claim approved. What more can you ask for.
Pendragon warranty has been great for me, stops me having to travel to take it back to evanshalshaw in Preston as they are a 40 minute drive away and with a small contribution I can take it to the garage of my choice, convenience! Also a garage I trust can then complete the work.

Just 2months before premium insurance ended and after stressful time to get in touch with right person at Pendragon they approved Engine replacement. The cost was around 12k so I would give 5* but due to stress at first few conversation we had with them giving 4stars. I think Evans Halshow should pay as they knew they were selling car with major issues.

Car went in main dealer for a service.
They found a cut in a tyre.
Mot failure.
Asked pendragon to approve the tyre.
They said ring kwikfit mobile.
They couldn't come for another week.
Then they approved the tyre but would pay for 30 days.
Then asked the garage to ask me if I'll pay for it and pendragon would pay me back!
Then they asked the garage to lower the price!
This is while I had to pay for a hire car for 5 days.
The problem?
The main dealer wanted £30 more for the tyre than quick fit.
I found Leanne very helpful and very quick to respond to my query about whether the work required on my car was covered by the premium warranty I took out when I bought it. Leanne liaised with the garage directly to deal with the claim in terms of the work needed, parts and labour costs and has kept me up to date with the process for covering the costs. All in all a very easy and pleasant process (a little bit to my surprise if I’m honest as I expected they would make it as hard as possible to claim).

I’m prompted to write this review as I’ve had (and am currently having) experience with the warranty team in Derby after purchasing a two year warranty on my used Volkswagen at Evans Halshaw in Birmingham.
Whilst there have been some disappointment with the car itself, the process of claiming on the warranty has been flawless and I’ll give mention to Louise based in Derby who has gone above and beyond to assist me getting my car in to a relatively nearby repair shop within their network. She mailed me this morning to follow up, completely unprompted, hence the five stars.
