All those positive reviews are…

All those positive reviews are irrelevant and they never passed an exam or are currently working for Crossover. I researched them thoroughly all the profiles of those who posted that they work for this company, in all their online profiles they do not have the Crossover company listed in their working experiences at all, and believe me I searched quite a lot of these people who pretend to be working for Crossover. I also tried several exams to pass, but the system is like a Chat GPT, some kind of artificial intelligence collecting data for someone somewhere in the world. It is an AI driven exams what you are doing, and all other assessments, they are not evaluated or written by humans. So, it's just another brick in the wall of scams. That's all. Rubbish!

K - 12 failure.

Was attempting to apply for a role in K - 12 education and they had the audacity to attempt to filter me through 4 hours of automated assessment. I went directly to the company and emailed them for an email to submit my application in but they told me to use this farce of a portal instead. The aptitude test used to gate keep is an insult to my intelligence. Not to mention whatever they were trying to pull after that.

SCAM

Terrible! SCAM just to collect people's information. They make an IQ test that normally takes 1 hour to make in 15 mins and then say that you are not qualify for the job without even someone to read your Cv, Your work experience! What a Fraud.

The tests are an absolute farce

The tests are an absolute farce. They are all closed-book tests under extreme time pressure. Nobody does an actual job under closed-book conditions. Employers don't pay a salary to get a reference manual. Employers who think coding is supposed to feel like the gunfight at the OK Corral are rare and misguided. I scored well on stuff I knew nothing about and badly in my main areas of expertise. The AI prompting test was about problems that would never arise or that you could solve in a dozen lines of bash. The coding tests are not even leetcode-easy standard but just very time consuming. They howl about the importance of not practicing a standard IQ test like what they've been selling in paperbacks for decades. The most farcical test asked me to write pseudocode for what required a single SQL statement. Who told these guys that team leaders write pseudocode for their team anyway? Or that one would attempt to define a detailed mathematical algorithm before even capturing the data? Or that a stakeholder would ever write a whole page of A4 about what they want? Have they never heard of Agile? They have absolutely no clue how the industry works, but they presume to judge people with CVs that clearly show far more experience than whoever is writing these tests. I would not work for any company dumb enough to get ripped off by crossover.

If the cognitive test is legit, you would be able to take it as many times as you want.

Complete scam. Avoid.

This is very clearly a scam

This is very clearly a scam. When searching the web for the names of people who have left positive reviews on trustpilot these individuals are either names from LinkedIn with no record of working at any crossover.com company OR in the case of Julius Librando, who claimed to have passed their tests below. He is listed as a crossover RECRUITER!!!
So a recruiter is posing as an employee with a fake profile picture.

Be fair warned, don't bother.
What a joke!!!

Don't accidentally click the wrong…

Don't accidentally click the wrong answer. If you do you have to wait half a year to redo it. They claim to find the top 1% but I doubt they have that. It's very disappointing and doesn't allow you to try other jobs. The companies are the ones who may miss out. It is also a fault of my own that I clicked the wrong option. Not allowing to change or fix it isn't a growth mindset company. In the end, they miss out

Is it even real?

I know this review might seem biased and it probably is since I'm writing it after two failed attempts to apply.

But here's what I have to say.

I do understand that companies are looking for strongest candidates. It's natural to try to do it. However, I'm not sure I understand the policy about all these basic fit questionnaires that don't let you through at all. In real life, it's sometimes OK not to tick one box out of four and still get the job because the rest of your skills and experience is appropriate.

The job opening I applied for has been around for a couple of months now. It has been reposted time and again for a couple locations simultaneously. Every time I checked how many people applied, there was about a hundred at least. To be honest, the only impression I get is that no one is really looking for someone to take on that role. Otherwise, they would have lowered their expectations and sifted through the candidates in an old-fashioned way.

I'm off looking for a real job with real people.

Organized scam by Trilogy Group or ESW Capital Group of companies

1. They apply the same operational policies to both so called Independent Contractors and employees even including at-will employment policy which means even Independent Contractors are fired at will like employees. Performance review policy are exactly the same for both independent contractors and employees and only employees are given PIPs but independent contractors despite having a contractor agreement are not notified for specific performance at all and are out of the company.
2. Refer to employment hand book at this company. That's how all employees and so called independent contractors are also treated and that's the master document through which everyone is controlled aka governed including independent contractors. The Independent Contractors agreement is merely a template that exists to fool workers and devoid them of benefits and employee status.
3. Check your copy of background verification report. They must have shown you as an employee to the verification provider despite telling you that you are a so called Independent Contractor.
4. Their lawyers politically influence judges using their clout so there is no way you see justice in Courts of law or it get delayed indefinitely for so called independent contractors in case of unlawful termination claim especially in India and USA because most of the judgements obtained by them are plagued with procedural errors for which workers are not at fault. This is deliberately done using back door payment to Court officers, judges through bribes, favors, plum offers, indirect benefits, influence etc and what not just to stay in business.
5. All workers work as employees till the group of companies want work. Once they are a liability, they become independent contractor in their way of treatment and IC agreement is the only document they live with. No experience letter, no complaint against discrimination, no HR complaint redressal etc. for the so called independent contractors.
6. There were several reviews on Glassdoor, Twitter, social media and other sites like LinkedIn, Quora, Reddit etc. that detailed the horrible treatment and corruption by this company to its previous employees that appears to have been removed by this company deliberately.
7. One can read the judgments in several cases against them available on Justia and other Court websites that shows how this group of companies have even cheated the courts and obtained favorable judgments using their political influence and nexus between Court judges and senior lawyers.
8. A lot of negative reviews on Glassdoor, Quora etc do not tell lies. People have indeed have experienced horrible things here which is one of the reasons one must stay away. Out of 1500+ reviews on Glassdoor, their algorithm only highlights the good reviews but hides or even removes bad reviews which is not surprising because Crossover has paid them for doing that to build a reputation. It's easy nowadays to do so given the company survives only on profit centered model keeping human values aside.

From reading negative reviews here

From reading negative reviews here, I see they're all from people who simply didn't pass the tests you need to pass to get an interview. Those tests are hard by design - they're supposed to filter out everything but top 1% of talent.

I can confirm, as I currently work for them, that their job offers are real, and that they have great teams, where not a single person in the team is 'coasting'. It is challenging, but you are given a lot of freedom with how and on what to work on. It is also a great learning experience, as everyone has something to contribute.

Job is completely remote, on my own schedule, paid weekly on time, with a lot of transparency about every aspect of the team, projects, career progression and your standing in the team.

In short, I definitely suggest working for them, if you can get the offer.

Disappointed, site cold and misleading

I have 2 comments:.

1. Regarding the outcome of some assessments, I disagree with the lack of transparency in the results. They only indicate whether one has passed or failed without providing explanations.

For instance, despite my extensive experience living and working in England, obtaining my university degree in English, publishing written material in English, and using English as my primary language for work, I failed the English assessment.

I need to wait 6 months to retake the assessment.

2. While the platform advertises as a site for remote job opportunities, many postings are for on-site positions or require candidates to have US work visas. This discrepancy can be misleading for individuals seeking remote work options.
