I'm not who you think I am
Received an email addressed to someone with a completely different name, telling this person he needed to pay a DVLA fine. I have no idea how this company came by my details, and when I asked I received a vacuous answer suggesting I contact their client for information on that. Pretty sure there are a number of GDPR regs being tested here.

Independently check before you pay anything
Two years in a row I have been sent letters claiming I am in debt due to HMRC (I am not). Twice I have contacted on the day of receiving the letter only to be told they are no longer dealing with the reference number I provided because the customer (HMRC) have updated something to show I don’t in fact owe them anything. Awful way for a system to run putting stress on people thinking they owe money when they don’t. This seems like it is going to be a yearly event at end of tax year.

Misuse of Data
Advantis have plucked my address from the internet and used it to try and find someone related to me. Debt collection agency should get their facts right before sending alarming letters out. They are gaslighting me by insisting that person is linked to this address other than my surname, so they can't admit they scramble through thin air to find a link to the person they are searching for.

Call handler Nathan was professional
I spoke to Nathan the call handler who dealt with my issue regarding false information provided to them by HMRC. Nathan was extremely helpful and dealt with my issues diligently and professionally.

This company can never get the…
This company can never get the information correct, they offer a false service to HMRC and should not be allowed to operate. Unclear if they are still owned by Japan, what interest do they have in UK Tax payers? Are they a registered charity or just sealing money form the UK Tax payer.

For any business, going through challenging financial times is really stressful but dealing with Advantis has actually come as a welcome relief. Chloe was marvellous , kind and informative. Its giving us a little bit of breathing space just having the option of dealing with a team who are clear in terms of what we need to do but also compassionate at the same time.

Amazing customer service
Amazing customer service! I had been having a very stressful few months with an ongoing issue with Virgin Media. In less than 5 minutes talking to Sophia at Advantis she had got to the bottom of what was going on, given me clear instructions on what to do next and had sorted the problem out for me! I had been going round in circles with Virgin media, backwards and forwards for months and getting no where. Now it is all sorted, which is a huge weight off my mind. People like her in your company are INVALUABLE to people like me,struggling through and almost always thinking theres no hope or help! For me today,she has turned that phrase on its head!
