Really slow delivery

Really slow delivery. Items arrived at the store 3 days ago but still no confirmation to collect. Poor updates

Good but slow…

App is ok and getting cash back is great, however many transactions need around 6 months or more to payout- get the feeling they actually get it sooner but let it sit in an account gaining interest!

Hi, thank you for sharing your feedback. We can assure you that all cashback is credited to members in full once funds have been passed to us by the retailer's network. We understand that it can take a while for some transactions to progress, however we do not have any influence on how long it takes a retailer's network to process a transaction. We do chase up any transactions that have taken too long to progress for members but can not guarantee when cashback is paid.

Shocking

Tried to order the new full fibre on its release. Was offered 3 months free. No updates were given and I must have rang every 2 weeks for around 4 months and each time they had to search for an update only to be told the issue was with openreach. Openreach can’t be contacted directly so no way to find out. After 2 months my order was cancelled for some reason with no explanation. Staff have no idea what is going on. No sign of trying to resolve the issue so cancelled and went with BT instead, much more straight forward!

Poor chat help, easy to order

I used the chat feature to ask some questions before purchase. The first person took a while to respond and then said they were reviewing my query. Around 5 or so minutes later another person responded asking me what my query was. No explanation why the first person had gone and they didn’t seem to understand my query. I have my doubts if they even worked for Ribble

Bit of a faff and dropped valuations

I was drawn by the ‘we offer up to £1000 more’ advert. Things started ok, the online guide was £12,500 - £13,200. Uploading all the photos is a bit of a faff, you need to use the app. It finishes with a phone call where I was told the minor damage to two wheels wasn’t really going to affect anything and a £13k price was suggested. I thought the idea was that dealers ‘bid’ for your car but that’s not the case, it’s left with you to set the price and hope someone accepts. Surely they are the experts? What if you price it too low? You’d never know what you could have got. After the phone call and the message their photos they asked for was just over a week, in which time they said my valuation was now £12,200! £800 in less than 2 weeks and they say ‘are you happy to proceed’ I’m sure they work for the dealers….! Needless to say I’ll take it somewhere local who are offering £12,800

EDIT - The response from Motorway is inaccurate. At no point did they say offers would be received, I was told to set a price and if someone accepts it then the car is sold. No explanation why the valuation dropped £800 in 2 weeks. No email to close off when I said I was disappointed and was left with no choice but to sell locally.

Regarding the photos we requested, this is because Motorway markets your car to UK dealerships, and presents a professional, standardised profile to maximise the offers you are likely to receive and to secure a firm offer ahead of inspection. The reason we request that you use the photo app first and foremost is that it assists you in taking photos of the specific angles and areas we require, preventing you from making multiple photo submissions by ensuring they meet our requirements, which our agents advised at the time. These photo requirements have been developed to help you create a professional-grade vehicle profile which helps to maximise your offers

Regarding your valuation, our estimates are based on industry guide prices, live market data, and our previous sales history, as well as specific details our sales team discuss regarding the history, specification, and condition of your car. The drop in your car’s valuation was not done to reduce your price, but to ensure you have been given an accurate indication of the value of your car, which is likely to be met by dealership offers.

This allows you to make an informed decision about whether or not you are provisionally happy to sell at that price, before wasting any of your time, our time, or the buyer's time, on a sale that you would not be happy to proceed with. Your sales agent explained we would be coming to a final price through this process, but I apologise if you felt this wasn't clear enough. 
In some cases, buyers' offers may also exceed the indicative estimate, so it is not a final cap on the price you can receive. However, before the car could go to sale you advised us that you were selling elsewhere and so we ended the sales process. 

I’m sorry that things didn’t work out with Motorway this time, but we are glad that you ultimately sold the car. We wish you all the best moving forward.

Honest Experience

The initial 16 week introduction consists of having your calories worked out for you (which you can easily do yourself for free online) and you’ll be told to walk 10,000 steps a day and anything less is seen as failure. The ‘content’ is a series of videos that do have a few noteworthy points, but the ‘support’ is quite inconsistent and the ‘lives’ are largely Dan rambling on about whatever is on his mind and seem to be more like therapy for him rather than helping his paying customers.

A while back Dan promised a printed book was to be released and a lot of people paid in advance for a copy but the book never happened and no refunds were given- the book exists as a PDF but it’s not the same thing.

Dan can be quite aggressive and direct, particularly to people who question what he’s doing. In my view Dan needs to take break from what he’s doing and sort his head out and beat his demons, which I hope he does, otherwise he’ll never be in a fit state to help others. The problem is he no doubt relies on the income stream to fund his ‘recreational’ lifestyle- enabled by his followers who seem to believe Dan still holds the key to helping them sort out their own mental and physical problems.

My advice would be to find another coach- there are plenty out there who can offer more stable and consistent support

Hi JB, thank you for the review. The 10,000 steps is a target given to some members not all are given 10,000 as we adjust the output based on a myriad of factors.
Also Dans style is very direct and no-nonsense as there is some much disinformation regarding this industry.

Speedy

Delivered on time but always in such a rush to get away they almost throw the parcel at you before speeding off- they’re either over worked or just desperate to finish early

Great service

Packaging sent in the post to send my phone back. Quick email back- although my phone had been downgraded to ‘Excellent’ and lost around 10% of value, it was explained and was fair enough and money was transferred the next day. Recommended.
