This will change your life
Dan helped me massively throughout the 4 months I worked with him. He not only helped my diet and nutrition but he also helped me mentally. I cannot recommend his services enough, all these negative reviews are bullsh*t and are from people unwilling to buy into his philosophy of living your life instead of yo-yo dieting. Dan was with me every step of the way and even though he isn’t my coach now, he set me up with information that I can use for life and introduced me to other world class coaches that are now working with me. Top bloke and top service

This plan explained to me the fact, not the fad. Following the fact has helped me achieve my goals, encouraged by the countless other people seeing results by doing the same. Dan also leads by example and takes time to understand an individual.

Decided to join again 9 weeks ago and absolutely love it (no going back to SW) feel so much happier in myself. developing new ways to cope with mindset and losing cm’s too. The support from the academy is great and always so encouraging.

Avoid!
I joined 80/20 when it was in the test group phases.
Content was great from Nicky and Hannah and initially the programme was great. Until Dan's ego took over.
Nobody is allowed to post questions without being told they are negative and having posts removed. We were also assured at the start that we would have lifetime access to the content and be given shares in the company for taking part in the test phases. Needless to say I'm still awaiting my shares..
When the academy was launched Dan suddenly decided that the test groups would no longer have lifetime access to the content and the groups were promptly closed and group members were told they would need to join the academy for continued access (£25 per month when you have already paid a chunk of money up front).
I messaged Dan with my complaint that we were mis sold the plan and we should have lifetime access as promised. I then received nasty messages and threats of legal action. I tried a few times to get a refund to no avail.
I was then blocked from accessing all content and kicked out of the academy.
The man has no formal qualifications and left me with worse binge eating issues than I had before. I lost no weight or cms as promised. He now gives incorrect health advice on tiktok whilst under the influence.
The whole thing was money grabbing. Exercise plans and advice were meant to be included but it was suddenly decided that they would be chargeable for a "workshop"

I joined after seeing the plan on tik tok and hearing about the success stories. I thought £25 steep but believed in the plan idea. Unfortunately I was swamped by emails that were spam and a Facebook page that was just unhelpful. The videos were looooong and boring and I just lost interest. I get that I was to eat in a calorie deficit but what ‘support’ was I actually getting. At least at slimming clubs I get the accountability of weigh ins. I felt robbed of £25 a month and found Dan intimidating and aggressive in his videos. Really not a plan I’d recommend. Just go on a free calorie deficit app - don’t waste your money

Not worth £25 a month
I can only echo what as already been said in other 1 star reviews, I completed the 16 week plan, apart from the morning lives your basically left to it, the academy is mainly run by other members who have no medical qualifications to give advice, i distanced myself around week 12 I didn’t like the clicky feeling in the academy and I don’t like the behaviour from staff members in regards to ex members leaving 1 star reviews or opinions on tiktok, being subjected to abuse, threats and harassment. If you are intrigued then do the 7 day trial and see for yourself, personally I feel there are more professional and qualified health professionals out there.
Really enjoyed learning the 80/20 plan
Really enjoyed learning the 80/20 plan. Dan can be a bit full on, but didn't get in the way for me, take it with a large pinch of salt abd focus on your own journey. Seems to be a fairly new business and I hope it will only improve with positive feedback.

Narcissistic “ Army leader” who does this remind you of?
Dan Wheeler - do your research.
I began the 80/20 lifestyle plan after watching Dan’s videos and lives and to say I fell for the “big plan” was an understatement. The countless emails you get, with links to watching out of date videos which are full of information that you’re expected to absorb is very overwhelming. The lack of support you actually get is ridiculous. The response you will probably get is, “when is your menstrual cycle” and whilst I understand that this can have a negative effect on your mood and eating habits, I could google that for free.
My circumstances then changed and I had to unexpectedly leave the plan and I had messaged Dan Personally on Tik Tok where he ignored me after we had spoken before also. Financially, I did and still are struggling. I had seen a video where Dan clearly states that in “most” cases a refund is given for a specific situation, when I politely asked for this in writing via emailX, the reply I received was a very short in essence ‘No’. When I asked for a reconsideration again in a polite manner due to having received a video of Dan’s statement, after the owner Dan was then involved, I received another no. I then expressed how disappointed I was. I had bought all his books and 2 months of the plan which came to a total of roughly £100. And when you are struggling with money due to a change in circumstances is a lot. Especially with a child to feed.
To add insult to injury, Dan then took it upon himself to talk about this on his live and when I made my presence known, he wanted to go live together to discuss it. It was nobody else’s business and he could of asked to have a face to face meeting (FaceTime or similar) to discuss this. But this is what bully’s do isn’t it. They want to show you up in front of people to make themselves look ‘big’. He ready out the incorrect email (said it was the first but in fact it was the second!) and when I went to have my say, he blocked me. So I went to you tube. Where he called me obsessed and blocked me once more.
I then received an email from Dan himself shortly after he came off live with false accusations which i replied to in a polite way once again. I am yet to receive a response.
He claims I’m acting illegally because the contents of an email has been shared. Without specific details I may add. Dan has requested to see my personal details of my changes in circumstances. If he can’t be trusted from a business perspective to adhere to GDPR regulations then how can he be trusted to not share this with others. His “army” have been brainwashed worse then a weight loss group does and he’s more expensive. There is plenty of evidence showing that he shares people’s private documents and I am more than happy to share the receipts with those who want to see.

Do your research first
I am editing this as the promise of new content is still being dangled without coming to fruition. I have also requested a refund due to being miss-sold this plan, and was sent an email offering a refund only if I agreed to sign a nda. So blackmail was being used. He has since doubled the cost and not been able to keep up with what he offered- the 2 lives a day have been lacking since he has done this. The drug use and miss information make this a plan worth steering clear of
I saw Dan’s videos on tiktok and it seemed like something I could get behind. However I wish that I had done more research before handing over any money.
The Facebook academy that we had access to, but only while paying, was run by other members. No negative posts were allowed, so if I was struggling with something or not seeing great results I couldn’t ask about it because it would bring everyone down. At this point I thought I was doing something wrong but couldn’t find out because I couldn’t ask on the group.
Constantly told to email but when I did I got no reply and had to keep chasing an answer. I gave them all my measurements, steps and calories in plus other exercises I had done in 7 weeks only to be told 30minutes wasn’t enough to be walking- I was doing 30min of spin or weights on top of 10000+ steps a day.
So while I got a response they hadn’t actually read what I had written.
While this was going on I was being bombarded with emails telling me if I paid £99-£250 a month I’d get much better results.
The links in the actual plan emails didn’t always work- couldn’t input measurements, and seeing the only way to get a refund was by them having all your measurements.
The whole thing started to feel really toxic when it was all about the Dan wheeler show and podcasts and all the click bait stuff with Dan Jones just left me wanting out. I asked to cancel- I had paid my 4 months but was told I needed to wait till week 16- when another payment would be due- so I removed my card details as I had kept my end of the bargain.
This is not the plan I was sold on initially- it’s all old videos with people who no longer work for him, any time I questioned that I got told he was making new content. It’s still the old stuff he’s sending out

I will not give my details as can’t be doing with the harassment
Your paying for outdated boring videos and membership to a Facebook page. Which I might add your not allowed any type of opinion other than to say how wonderful the owner Daniel Wheeler is. If you say anything negative your post doesn’t get approved. If your prepared to constantly big up his ego you will get on well in his little clique. His live videos are nothing but profanity and him getting high on whatever he smokes in some contraption. His daily use of the word c**t was what he called anyone that didn’t agree with him or had an opinion. He claims to be the best in the world at what he does but I feel he’s only best at threatening legal action and name calling people who dare to speak out.
What finished it for me was when one of his staff threatened the most dreadful violence towards an ex member on tiktok and he did nothing about it! He didn’t even address it. Not all of his staff are horrendous, some are really lovely but I fail to see how they think his behaviour is acceptable for a business. He must be promising them something for them to keep writing positive reviews.
When your 16 weeks is up your swiftly removed from the Facebook group, ( called the academy )and you come away with nothing! All the videos you’ve paid to see you no longer have access to. So in actual fact all your paying for is for someone to work out your ‘bespoke’ calories which you can actually get for free on the internet.
Certainly not worth £25 a month.

Not what I was hoping for
I decided to join the plan after seeing Dan on TikTok, I thought wow this guy has some great information that can really help me. The concept of eat more move more was great. I followed the plan perfectly for 8 weeks. At the end of the 8 weeks I had lost 43cm, but I didn't feel that in my clothes or look any different.
Maybe the plan does work but after those 8 weeks I got tired of the unprofessional behavior of Dan Wheeler. The way he constantly used foul behavior, bullying and click bait material got to be too much for me. It was at that point that I stopped contributing and following the plan. I thought maybe when I stopped sending my measurements in someone would reach out to check on me but no that didn't happen. It was as though they had my money (which costed me close to $50/month due the currency conversion) so that was all they needed from me.
At the beginning I really enjoyed the lives, since I am from Canada it was hard for me to ask questions live. I usually put my questions in the pinned post to be answered at the live and then I would watch the replay to see if there was an answer for me. Many times my questions were not answered. Over time I saw that the lives were more for podcast footage then help for members.
I have decided to leave my name attached to this review even though I have seen many people get bullied for leaving less then a 5 star review.

The plan worked for me but it is absolutely not worth the money
I followed the plan for 16 weeks and the plan did work for me. Eat more, move more, it was great idea. The concept is a good and I feel it had the potential to be very successful.
The problem for me is with the team of 8020 and the value for money. You pay £25 a month for very little in return.
You pay for calories worked out for you, plus your macros, which is great but I felt this was the only real beneficial thing I got from this plan. I essentially paid £25 a month for 16 weeks for this information. Also, once I signed up, I was locked into 16 weeks, £25 a month which I was unable to cancel. So that is definitely something to consider before signing up.
The content that is emailed out to you week to week, there is a nutritionist and psychologist plus Dan Wheeler and I thought that was a great mix of people to help make the plan successful for me. Until a few weeks in when I found out the two people in the videos, other than Dan Wheeler, no longer worked for/with the company. I signed up for a well rounded package of support to help change my life and health, but this was not what I got.
You submit your measurements weekly via email plus you're given weekly worksheets for your mental health and behaviour to work on. No one follows up with you, even monthly, to see how you're getting on or finding the plan. At least with other plans, like the ones that Mr Wheeler berates online, you have people checking in, talking to you, working out any problems you may have.
There were lives, when I started the plan, that were very informative and structured but over the course of the first 6 weeks, the plan gained more clients (therefore more money) and the ego of Dan Wheeler increased and more money was put into making the 'Dan Wheeler Show' which wasn't what I signed up for. The lives went from informative to just a lot of nothing.
You're also paying to be part of a Facebook group which promoted 'positivity' and although it is ideal to be positive, it's not realistic, so the group, I found, was quite toxic. Any questions or criticisms of the plan was quickly shut down so all the positivity is very controlled.
I am keeping this review anonymous as I've witnessed Dan Wheeler and his team harass and be very cruel to other ex members who have given negative (but verified) reviews of the plan which is absolutely disgusting.
There's plenty of other information out there about the 8020 lifestyle plan that you could look up for yourself but this is my own experience with it. I definitely would NOT recommend this specific plan. The model of, eat more and move more did work for me, but the team/admin/staff of the 8020 lifestyle plan was the downfall for me plus the lack of value for money.

Not worth the money at all
Not worth the money at all! All you get for your £25 is membership to a Facebook group. The videos have people in who are no where to be seen. Workout videos are not professional….you can find better ones on YouTube! If you want to do this just use the TDEE calculator and do 10000 steps….that’s all you get from the plan!

Antwort von The8020lifestyleplan
I’ve just finished week 16
I’ve just finished week 16 of the plan and here’s my take on it.
Pro’s:
• easy to follow by sticking to a calorie allowance
• exercise is encouraged
• mindset work is better than the ‘support’ from SW or WW
Con’s:
• no feedback to measurements unless you ask for it
• weekly videos are educational but dated and incredibly boring
• Facebook lives aren’t very inspiring and are very difficult to get questions answered (could be different now, I stopped watching them)
• once you get to week 16 your only options are to continue paying £25 a month to stay in the Facebook group OR cancel your subscription and lose all the videos and mindset work that you’ve already paid for
Complete and utter waste of money, go online and search for the TDEE calculator to work out your calorie allowance for free! Also a ridiculous amount of drama about trolls and click bait…not what anyone signs up for

This could have been something great
Having just completed my 16 weeks on the plan I wanted to leave an honest review.
When I first saw Dan on TikTok I instantly liked him, he was funny, informative and his no BS approach was what I needed.
However a few weeks in there seemed to be a massive shift in Dan’s attitude, I feel like the podcast kind of took over and the lives were just an excuse to mess about.
Every week I would fill in the google form, yes I lost cms but no actual weight which was, for me, the most important thing. I figured joining Dan would help me gain a better perspective on not living my life by the scales but after a few weeks the cms stopped going down and I became fed up. I stopped filling out my google forms and was never contacted to see if I needed support or why I had stopped.
The private group on Facebook I found absolutely pointless, posts are reviewed so you can’t post what you need too, I understand to a point that posting what could be taken as negative may have an impact on the overall “feeling” of the group but sometimes when your trying to over come a binge eating disorder you need to have a moan and you need to feel supported by likeminded people, which wasn’t allowed.
Unless you are one of Dan’s, or the admins, flavour of the month in the group you don’t get any support, no replies to comments asking for advice or help. It’s like your there to be an audience for the people with starring roles in the Dan wheeler show.
I really thought that I had found someone who was honest and wanted to help and instead I somehow ended up in a weird cult following. The support Dan Jones gets from Dan wheeler is amazing - for him. Nobody else gets that kind of support, I feel this is a tactic being used by Dan w to bring in more people and line his pocket.
After the fiasco of “Dan died” and the quite obvious fake acting from that episode absolutely disgusted me and many others, I lost all respect for Dan after that. To click bait people who were invested in Dan’s journey to get views Did not sit right with me. The fact that fatt Dan and his wife let him do that also made me loose respect for them. That, and the disgusting videos circling of dan saying he’s going to lie about an ex member being a pedophile and his wife saying she wanted to slit her throat and write 8020 in her blood. Absolutely speechless that dan wheeler could employ these people as staff to represent him and his business.
DW, if your reading this, and I’m sure you will at some point. I urge you to reevaluate what your doing to your company. You could be doing so much good and yet your focusing so much on the bad. I was so invested in your journey from the very beginning and really think if you hadn’t made so many silly mistakes you could have a successful company that is making a difference to many peoples lives. You need to be careful of who is representing your company - and threatening people on social media. So many people have left you and posted their honest reviews, rather than going on a war path and telling people that they are liars and these reviews are fake which their not, you should put that energy into figuring out what went wrong and fix it.

I’m not a fake reviewer just don’t want to be bullied or harassed :-( stop asking for details so you can contact me and intimidate me
Thank you for your response, I asked for help by email on several occasions, you didn’t give any. Questions on lives were ignored. There was no support. Couldn’t post on FB group as the posts were being vetted and weren’t approved and were rejected, nothing negative asking for genuine help. I feel it only fair to warn people that at least 12 of the recent positive reviews are done by individuals who are in fact associated with the 80/20 lifestyle plan and receive a commission type rewards for signing up new individuals to the plan. They are known as 80/20 legends by all means join the 7 day free trial and see for yourself these positive reviews are coming from team members within the Acadamy and list of legends.
Also I highly recommend searching the qualifications held by Mr Wheeler there is a photograph on tattle thread of him explaining in amazing detail that 1 qualification is indeed from groupon £19.99 it cost him and another online course cost him £600 and required him to do no on floor gym time so verify them qualifications.
I will provide proof when this review is flagged and it will become a verified review!
