A note on the COVID-19 pandemic
We hope you are staying safe during this challenging and unforeseen time across the globe. We would firstly like to thank you for your patience and support as we work to respond to the thousands of individual customer queries, booking amendments and refunds.
We would like to note that due to Coronavirus outbreak, we have received a huge volume of contact from customers who are concerned about how their holiday is affected. It may take us longer than usual to respond at the moment, but rest assured we are working hard to reply to every customer query as quickly as we can.
When will I receive my refund?
We're working as quickly as possible to get any money back to those customers who are owed a refund. In many cases, we are waiting for the money for the cost of flights to be refunded by the airline.
Additionally, unlike many other travel companies, Sunshine.co.uk is offering eligible customers a full cash refund alongside the option to move their holiday to a later date.
The ongoing situation with Covid-19 is unprecedented and affecting us all in many different ways. We truly appreciate the patience and support of all of our customers during this challenging time.

Late check out should be consider, we had to pay for this extra in the hotel
This is the second time I’ve booked a holiday through Sunshine.co.uk, and once again I had a great experience. The team was very helpful, organised, and kept everything running smoothly from the start of our holiday to the very end.
The only downside was the late check-out. We had to pay the hotel extra to keep our room because our standard check-out was at 12:00 pm, but our airport transfer wasn’t due to pick us up until 5:00 pm. Without paying for late check-out, we would have had to wait in the hotel reception for five hours with our luggage.
I feel that late check-out should be included, or at least better considered, when transfers are scheduled several hours after the hotel check-out time. Apart from this issue, everything else was excellent, and I would still recommend Sunshine.co.uk.

Just booked my 9th trip through sunshine since 2023 and never had any issues. Easy to book, you get the paperwork sent via email within minutes. I don’t find chatting through the online bot much help if you need to make changes but after a while it’s sorted. Would recommend Sunshine to friends and family.

Shocking customer service
Shocking customer service. The only person who managed to sort my and my sister family case was Karoline. She is massive credit to this company. She was the only person who looked beyond bigger picture and found problem which was reported nearly a week before our holidays. Thank you Karoline. Being not treated with respect , called a liar between lines etc it was great to be looked after by Karoline.

When I had booked the holiday
When I had booked the holiday, I went back to the site to look at the hotel again, and saw the price was£200 cheaper I am now going to see if a cam get a price drop .I phoned but they said no price drop because I had booked only 60days before, going on the 60th day, cheap,!! Thanks for the reply but I still do not agree with wat you say we bookt, 1st of August and not going till 30 September, surely that counts as 60, days, and should receive a price drop,

Hotel not fit for purpose due to pool being renovated, no alternative options provided
I've booked a couple of holidays with Sunshine Holidays previously and not had any issues. I booked my holiday to the Fairmont hotel Ajman back in September 2025 and I'm due to be travelling on Thursday 6 August 2026 and literally found out by chance last week that the hotel swimming pool is being renovated, I was never notified of this and just luck that I found out as even with a temporary pool, we can't stay at a hotel with a construction site as a family having spent so much money on the holiday.
I've spent a lot of time on live chat and trying to get through to a call advisor and live chat team have said that someone will be contacting me with some alternative hotel options.
All I have received is an email with a link to the mysushine app that tells me to cancel the hotel now would mean losing the entire cost of the holiday.
This is clearly unacceptable and someone needs to provide genuine customer support and options for us.
