A note on the COVID-19 pandemic
We hope you are staying safe during this challenging and unforeseen time across the globe. We would firstly like to thank you for your patience and support as we work to respond to the thousands of individual customer queries, booking amendments and refunds.
We would like to note that due to Coronavirus outbreak, we have received a huge volume of contact from customers who are concerned about how their holiday is affected. It may take us longer than usual to respond at the moment, but rest assured we are working hard to reply to every customer query as quickly as we can.
When will I receive my refund?
We're working as quickly as possible to get any money back to those customers who are owed a refund. In many cases, we are waiting for the money for the cost of flights to be refunded by the airline.
Additionally, unlike many other travel companies, Sunshine.co.uk is offering eligible customers a full cash refund alongside the option to move their holiday to a later date.
The ongoing situation with Covid-19 is unprecedented and affecting us all in many different ways. We truly appreciate the patience and support of all of our customers during this challenging time.

All good but could be better
The booking process was good but confirming the flights with the independent airlines took a little more time than expected. Maybe this processs could be improved to make it simpler. We have used sunshine previously and can honestly say that we have not had a problem with them.

Avoid this hotel
The hotel wasnt up to the 4 star standard. We had to change rooms as the first one we had was dark, the balcony looked into an interior concrete wall and you could only fit 2 people on it at a squeeze (we are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 late teenagers). We paid for all inclusive but the food was inedible catering more to the Russian and German guests and we are not fussy eaters. We ate there twice the whole 2 weeks and each time we were all ill afterwards so was a total waste of money and ruined the holiday for us as we had to use the money we were planning on spending on excursions on food. The hotel is on 6 floors and the lifts kept breaking down and even when they were working they were always packed so had to take the stairs nearly ever time. The hotel staff were friendly enough but the cleaners were very rude. Avoid this hotel and go somewhere else we won't be making this mistake again

Impossible if you actually need to speak to someone
I have used before with no issue, however when you need to contact them it is impossible. There is only a live chat which is AI driven and will only answer certain questions, none relevant in my case. No email option, no phone-in. I am due a refund and apparently it is ready to collect, however when I log in the booking has totally disappeared and their is not option to collect this. I am totally stuck trying to resolve this as I cannot engage with an actual person. It looks like this will need to be escalated to a complaint.

Don’t forget the App!
There was no mention of the app when I booked the holiday.
This is a must as everything has to be booked via it.
As we were 2 parties, on same booking, getting into the app was difficult but luckily the live chat option worked well.
On a whole the resort is perfect for those with children, it gets very busy. One bonus is they don’t allow anyone near the pool until 10am so there are no sunbed wars!
The resort is a little dated which is a shame as obviously a lot of money was spent previously. Half the rides at dino land were not in use.
The water park was better in the hotel then the off site one. Additionally there are not many places to sit at the off site water park without having to “buy” a lounger.
Food was what we’d expect from an all inclusive buffet, with something for everyone. We also ate at some of the al a carte restaurants using the set menu which was plentiful.
Overall a lovely holiday and staff were very accommodating

We arrived at our hotel only to be told the pool and splash park had completely closed it had been covered over in Astro Turf we paid for all inclusive to sit round the pool to relax sunshine never informed use the service we received in resort was terrible it took 4 days to threw they finally offered me 20 percent back wich was 330 pounds ov 16070 for our hotel we spent more on having drinks round another pool then what we got back we dident get any ov the facilities what was advertised and what we paid for I asked the lady on reception if we could use the sister hotel and she said it was closed due to having imagrants in has u can imagine having no pool in 33 degrees ruined our holiday.

Lovely stay at Servatur Altamadores
Everything about Servatur Altamadores was perfect . Only all inclusive where the food was plentiful varied and fresh , something for everyone. The fact that all drinks were self service as well , including slush puppies and juices meant everything was very relaxed and chilled .. Our terrace was enormous and well furnished . No racing for sunbeds as they were plentiful . The solarium mostly for smokers ( which we aren’t) was so comfortable with sofas and lovely views of the beach . Only drawback was the hill but we were aware of that and taxis are efficient and cheap . Booking was simple and straightforward and total price was very reasonable. Shout out to our lovely cleaner ( app 413) she was so cheerful and friendly. They are sometimes overlooked . Great holiday all round , would go back in a heartbeat.

The hotel was nice
The hotel was nice, the room/bathroom was disappointing, very old (but clean) food was nice, staff was very nice, the roof top pool was brilliant, although very busy, need to put towels out before 8am to get a sunbed, both pools was very overcrowded, more people then beds.
