I would not recommend using RVA for their services in relation to business rates reduction. We used them, for a service we later found out could be done with a simple application form available from the council.
For this service, we paid 45% of any reduction - which we incorrectly thought at the time was a one-off payment in the first year. As it turned out, we are currently in the final year (of 5 years), paying at the same 45% rate. We believe that the length and terms of the contract were not made clear (or perhaps we misunderstood them) at the time, which has cost us £1000's. I would urge caution, and contact your Council directly first.

"Based on my experience with RVA, I cannot recommend this company. They informed us that our business rates had been reduced and requested immediate payment. However, I have not received any official confirmation from Ealing Council that this reduction is in effect. This is disappointing, as we are left unsure if any action was taken. with this company they do not help You and after work they left You with nothing, if i will read review i will NEVER EVER go with them in any contract, don`t trust RVA trustpilot just hide my review and i need to cut and edit my review by i still have paper work from RVA as proof how they work, i will write to trustpilot to put this review i been accuse to use defamatory content but how to write truth if truth is censorship.

RVA managed the whole process on our behalf and were responsive throughout.

Following the initial assessment visit from the RVA representative, the only personal involvement we had in the whole process was to receive an assessment from the rates office at our works, where an RVA representative was present. RVA took all other matters in their control allowing us to concentrate on our own business matters.
The process took over 18 months to complete but most processes involving local government are expected to be lengthy in my experience.

RVA were incredibly helpful in securing a backdated rebate for us, as well as future savings following a revaluation of our business rates. Their communication was excellent, and everyone we spoke with was a pleasure to deal with. I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking to reduce their business rates liability
