Shocking after care
Q¹Bought a brand new motorhome from Perthshire caravans in 2024 however after one journey the radio and touch screen navigation system failed and the after care we received was non existent it took the almost 2 years of emails and calls back and forth for them to finally get it fixed under warranty, the motorhome has been in and out constantly needing something done to it and that's with being bought brand new, the final nail in the coffin it failed it's hab check which is ok as it is still under warranty off it goes back to perthsire caravans 6 months later after the check and fail not a problem they wanted it to go to NOTTINGHAM ,from scotland to be repaired a 552 mile round trip no thank you so they finally agreed to fix it in Perthshire, went to collect it and the hab work was done however they failed to do other repairs on the motorhome that needed fixing and then told us it was ready to collect so off we go on the 220 mile round iund trip to collect it only to see the repairs were not done and we refused to take it away and that was a costly wasted trip and they then wanted us to fit into thier time slots to collect it f4om a drop off point as a gesture of good will bearing in mind we work out with Perthshire 110 miles away long hours and they expected us to find time to fall into thier time slot and collect the motoerhome 40 miles away from where our journey began This has led now to another costly trip at our expense to collect it again from thier Depot in Perthshire. PERTHSHIRE caravans you were quick enough to take the cash for a brand new motorhome but your aftercare has been absolutely disgusting and despicable, I would never recommend anyone to buy from you or is it because it was a full cash sale and not finance so you lost out on Interest from the sale. It's absolutely disgusting the way we have been treated. You did not do the repairs and told us they were done which lead to a costly round trip for nothing and you will not even return it the full journey tonis because it does not fit in with your time slots yet we have always fitted in around your time slots for repairs, im just dumbfounded by your attitude and I wouldn't give in to you but you have made my partner cave in your demanding time slots and leave us out of pocket on a round trip 2 weeks in a row, you have no idea how angry and frustrated I am right now. I really hope future customers read the 1 star reviews and think long an hard before purchasing from there. Unfortunately I could not leave less than 1 star or or you wouldn't even get that 😡.

Great customer service
Great customer service. Leaving Aberdeen the lever of the jocky wheel snapped. Phoned Perthshire caravans who were able to assist us on our journey south. Drilled out clamp bolt stud and fitted new clamp handle and new jocky wheel which had bent all within an hour of us arriving.
Brilliant service , thank you
A positive experience
In the past as well as today I have found Perthshire Caravans always happy to please.
I’ve known them move things around to accommodate me and get my repairs done.
Many thanks Perthshire Caravans 👍
Absolutely brilliant
Absolutely brilliant. Phone ahead had tap in stock, asked staff if able to help fit, yes could fit it in. Back on the road just over the hour.
Will definitely be back, especially as they have lovely Campers for sale when we want to trade in.
Saved our holiday
A massive thank you to John in Parts and the service team for saving our holiday. In a careless oversight I failed to secure the skylight on my Bailey Pegasus 462 before heading on our travels.
Winds lifted the unsecured canopy and smashed it, I was close enough to get to Perthshire Caravans where I pulled in to see what, if anything could be done to salvage the holiday.
I explained dire situation to John from parts who came out to see the damage straight away. In an absolute twist of fate there was an exact replacement canopy in stock.
To save our holiday the service team took the van in at zero notice, carried out the repair and had us back on the road in an hour.
5 Star customer service & 5 Star repair service and I cannot rate this team high enough.
Thank you for saving our holiday 🫶🏻.
Poor Customer Service
Felt that unless you wanted to buy a brand new Motorhome the Sales person we spoke to was not interested.
We also had to go looking to speak to someone to get keys of secondhand Motorhome to look at. So glad we didn’t see any that suited our needs because felt that the service we would have got would be nonexistent.
Useless
Absolutely useless regarding aftermarket products. Ordered the wrong items twice & I cancelled the order
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Fantastic Experience with…
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Fantastic Experience with Perthshire Caravans
I would like to leave a fantastic review for Perthshire Caravans, as I genuinely cannot praise them highly enough.
From the moment I dealt with them, the entire team were exceptional. The sales staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and I also had a great experience and the engineers, who were all really nice, professional and helpful.
The camping shop also deserves a special mention. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and I purchased a few parts from the shop which, to my surprise, were actually cheaper than I could find them online. That was a pleasant surprise!
I can honestly say, hand on heart, that if my health improves enough for me to get back into campervanning, I would not go anywhere else to purchase my next campervan.
Unfortunately, my health has made things difficult for me, but that has absolutely nothing to do with Perthshire Caravans. My experience with the company and its staff has been fantastic.
Every member of staff I dealt with was exceptional, and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Perthshire Caravans to anyone looking for a campervan, caravan or camping equipment.
Thank you to everyone at Perthshire Caravans for all your help, kindness and professionalism. A truly first-class company and a credit to the industry. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Perthshire caravans save our holidays
French people on holidays in Scotland coming from France with our motor home (model from 2014)
Leak on the roof caused by an old butyl sealant.
Nice phone call with Lorraine who really tried to help us despite our poor english !
Efficient problem solving the tomorrow morning, so very fast appointement that save our holidays.
Furthermore we pay a very good price for the work to do !
A big thank to the service desk women and the technicians who solve the leak problem.
A big recommandation for Pershire caravans 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Brilliant Service
We have been using Perthshire Caravans for parts for many years and the service in there has always been exceptional, so in May we decided to get a new to us caravan, I have always been wary about buying brand new as I know that there are always issues needing to get sorted out, so I bought a 2 year old van, the sales process was good and we had our van within 3 weeks. Its needed a few things sorted out under warranty but its always been done within a week, Honestly I can't fault the service that we have received and we love our new van. Thanks Perthshire Caravans
Poor communication
Picked up our campervan a week ago after waiting three months following being quoted a 4-6 week delivery. I understand the delays were due to Peugeot, not Perthshire caravans, but the communication from them was minimal. The infotainment system stopped working on the drive home (so no rear view camera until it is fixed) Air con doesn't work (I assume due to van being sat in the yard - it had cobwebs and green round the windows when we collected it. I expected this would have been checked by the workshop. It is now down to me to get fixed under the warranty :-(
Fantastic repair job!
Dropped into Perthshire Caravans 3 weeks ago, the paintwork on the nearside of my caravan had faded dramatically! The result of being on the end of the line in storage! Spoke to Lorraine in Service, she got the bodywork guy out to give me some options! the only way to bring it back to life was a total respray and new Decals. Received the quote ,and they needed a specialist to make the graphics as they’re not available from Buccaneer!!
Picked up the caravan today and I’m gobsmacked! You would think its just come from the factory! The paintwork is gleaming and graphics perfect!
I’m really picky and love things perfect, I can’t fault this paintwork, guy knows what he’s doing!!
Great big thanks to the guys and Lorraine for their professionalism!
Saved me 40K on buying a new van!!
One-star review as a warning to others
One-star review as a warning to others. My elderly family members were offered and agreed a trade-in price whilst visiting the branch, based on which they purchased a new caravan from Perthshire Caravans. They were told to bring their caravan with them when collecting the new one. Only after they arrived, having travelled, exhausted, and already committed financially, were they told the caravan would not be accepted, with a sudden claim of damp that simply was not present. The previously agreed trade-in was then reduced by £3,000, leaving them offered well below market value. At that point they felt pressured and trapped, facing the ordeal of undoing a completed purchase or accepting a substantial loss just to get home. I am angry and disgusted that a supposedly well-established company would conduct business in this manner, particularly with elderly customers. My advice to others is simple: never rely on verbal agreements and do not complete any deal unless your trade-in has been physically inspected and accepted in writing. Salesperson involved was Grant.
Helpful, friendly service
Repaired our waterpipe allowing us to continue on our way. Despite it being nearly closing time for the holidays we were welcomed and helped. Much appreciated....
Disappointing New Caravan Purchase and…
Disappointing New Caravan Purchase and After-Sales Experience
I purchased a new caravan from Perthshire Caravans. My experience with the caravan and subsequent service was, in my opinion, disappointing.
The caravan was delivered with defects and addressing these issues ultimately took more than two months. Furthermore, upon attending to collect the caravan having been told, incorrectly, that all the items had been fixed I noticed damage, which I believe had occurred while the caravan was on their premises for repair. In my personal opinion, the level of after-sales care received during this extended process was not satisfactory.
I am sharing this review mainly to encourage other buyers to understand their consumer rights. Please note: I am not a solicitor, I am not legally qualified, and the information below is simply my layperson's understanding of the law. This is not legal advice, and you should always verify your rights and legal position with an appropriately qualified person.
Consumer Rights Act 2015 (CRA 2015) – My Understanding:
When you purchase a caravan or motorhome from a trader in the UK, the following key rights apply under the CRA 2015:
Short-Term Right to Reject (First 30 Days): If a product is not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, or as described, you have a short-term right to reject it and demand a full refund.
Right to Repair or Replacement (Up to Six Months): After the initial 30 days and within six months, you are entitled to request a repair or replacement. If that repair or replacement is not completed within a reasonable time or causes you undue inconvenience, you can exercise your final right to reject and seek a full refund or a price reduction if you wish to keep it.
Burden of Proof (First Six Months): If a fault develops within the first six months, the law presumes the fault was present at the time of purchase, and the burden is on the retailer to prove otherwise.
You have the right to submit a Subject Access Request (SAR). This is a request that allows you to access all your personal information and communications the company holds about you - contracts, emails, notes, letters, CCTV etc. To submit a SAR, you typically just need to email the company and clearly ask for all the personal information they hold about you. They cannot charge you a fee for this. Official guidance on making a Subject Access Request is available on the website of the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
When dropping off a caravan or a motorhome for repair or service, my opinion is that it's reasonable to ask that it is inspected with you so if it subsequently gets damaged in the dealers care you have some evidence of this. I did this when I dropped off my caravan for repairs and carried out an inspection with a member of staff.
Always keep meticulous written records, emails, and photographs of any issues or repairs for reference. I also advise future buyers to familiarise themselves with their rights and to document any issues thoroughly. I hope this information helps others.

Perthshire caravans
Purchased a new Baileys caravan from them and waited 8 weeks for the snagging list work to be completed, when i picked the caravan up i found that not all the snagging list items had been addressed. Was not even offered an apology. several visits were required (each a 140mile round trip) before the work was completed. Further issues with the caravan occurred and despite returning the caravan under warranty the work carried out could only be described as awful (frayed wires wrapped in tape, buckled trim replaced with buckled trim, the list goes on). When i reported this to the service manager i was treated very badly and my issues were dismissed. E-mails go unanswered. I then asked for a copy of there complaints procedure, the contact details of the manager, and a list of trade bodies they belong too, again this was ignored. 2 years from purchase we are still trying to get issues resolved under warranty but are now in discussion with Baileys direct who also ignore e-mails and our concerns.

Great service
Whilst away with my caravan, the bathroom sink developed a leak, about 2 pints a day. I called in to Perthshire caravans to see if A) this is something they could do. B) Are the parts available, my van is a 2009 model and C) When could I book it in.
They asked if I could wait until a technician was available, about 20 mins. Not only did they have a look, but as they had the parts in stock they fitted it there and then. What a service, I can't praise them highly enough, and such friendly staff.
Go out of way to help with every detail!
Can’t recommend Perthshire caravans enough! We were complete newbies and they really went above and beyond to help us with every aspect! We dealt with Andrew Wood and he was friendly and professional and nothing to was to much for him to deal with we are extremely happy with our positive experience and would highly recommend! 🙂
