John Taggart was the start of the show…
John Taggart was the star of the show but everyone I came into contact with during the process were excellent too. Great effort all round from the team at Northgate Mallusk .
As a new limited company getting vehicles on standard finance deals is impossible, unless you pay over the odds or give personal guarantees etc. A long term lease or hire agreement with no silly hidden charges or clauses etc is perfect for me and my business. It gives me ultimate flexibility as the business grows; I can change my vehicle regularly and add vehicles to the fleet that match exactly what the job demands.
It was a Brucey Bonus having the vehicle was delivered out to me. Highly recommend.

Amazing customer service at Broxburn branch
went to the Broxburn branch to get my brakes sorted on a company hired van and was really surprised that they got done straight away. The staff member was extremely helpful and really courteous. The whole process took about an hour and I was back on the road again. I honestly was so shocked as I had never had this sort of experience at any other branch. Should any other issues arise with the van, this is the branch I will always come back to

Zero if I could give it
Zero if I could give it. Was due to get a hire car from them on Tuesday. They had known one was needed since June (it was after my car was in repairs for an accident someone else had admitted blame for) and that I had asked specifically for a manual car. Nothing came Tuesday so I had to call, to be told no cars available so we are sourcing it to another of our branches (Snodland). Was told it would come Wednesday. Car arrived - it’s automatic and it absolutely stinks of smoke inside. My son has chronic asthma, so even if I was happy to drive an automatic (which I’m not), I wouldn’t be able to use it because of the smell. Many phone calls to swap the car, promises of being called back- day 3 and still no driveable car for us and we are meant to go on holiday tomorrow! Apparently has been escalated to management but we are not likely to get a car before our holiday tomorrow so we have had to break the news to our son that it may not be happening. Made even worse that the lady I spoke to on the phone said she’s had lots of problems with this particular branch. I’ve been without a car since Tuesday and had to take 3 days off work now to wait for a mystery car and non-existent phone calls. Wouldn’t be recommending this company to anyone. Edited to add- issue was escalated to “management” on Thursday by the claims department and the insurance company that use them and marked as “urgent”- we are now on Sunday and not even a courtesy call to say it was being dealt with by anyone from management. Was told I would have a call back Friday morning to let me know what was happening with the car swap. This hasn’t happened. Very unprofessional company, terrible service.

I’ve always had great experiences with the Plymouth branch, the chaps at the front desk are friendly, and very welcoming, and the garage are very efficient. I brought my van in with a fault without a booking and the guys got it straight in and repaired within 45 minutes. Great branch

I visit alot of Northgate sites and I always find Northgate Derby the most accommodating . The gentleman on the front desk are always helpful.
