Just completed on a house with Mockford & Hunt as a first time buyer. From the initial viewing stage they were helpful and attentive, and went above and beyond to get me updates later in the process when issues further up the chain slowed things down. 100% recommend

I have dealt with a few of the “big players” in the estate agent world in Ashford and they do not compare to Mockford & Hunt. Attentive, compassionate and ultra professional! They are the innovative in their approach and get the job done. If you are reading this do not hesitate in appointing them as your estate agent, you will not regret it.

After a long drawn-out process attempting to buy a property through an estate agents that I won't name, Mockford & Hunt were a breath of fresh air - responses were almost always immediate, & anything I was unsure about they were able to explain simply & without insulting my lack of knowledge as a first-time buyer. I would absolutely recommend them to any other buyer, it's been a great experience.

After a very bad experience trying to buy another house and having to pull out of that one we were very deflated to put it politely. But once our offer was accepted through Mockford and Hunt our experience was 1000% better than before. The communication was outstanding the ease of using WhatsApp made the process seem seamless. Always knowing Tim, Charlotte or Fran were at the end of the phone to help with anything that we or the sellers needed made things so much smoother and meant that we already had the information before our solicitors asked for it.

I would highly recommend Mockford & Hunt. No hesitation. They were recommended to us by our mortgage advisor. From the initial valuation, Tim was very honest, friendly and down to earth - all the sort of things people don’t think estate agents can do but want to see in an estate agent. We had viewings booked in virtually straight away and they kept coming which generated 3 offers in total over the course of marketing our house. This allowed us to put an offer on a house which was accepted. Tim and Charlotte kept us informed of progress throughout the sales process and we loved the modern day approach to keeping us updated or reporting anything (I won’t reveal their trade secrets) but I can’t believe other agencies haven’t jumped on this approach yet. Charlotte pushed our sale through with great perseverance and dedication and we moved in June 2024. Had it not been for the hard work of Tim and Charlotte we would not have been able to upsize and purchase our family home. Why use a large corporate agency to sell your property when you get a much better personable service for the same price using an independent? Agents all use the same techniques to sell houses anyway but you get more for your money this way. The staff are genuine and they actually care about their customers and their needs. It’s a no brainer for me! Keep up the good work Tim, Charlotte and Francis.

We didn’t actually use Mockford and Hunt as we was locked in a contract with another agent but Tim was so helpful with everything and we will definitely use Mockford and Hunt if we ever need to sell again. Will definitely recommend to anyone going on the market.

Very long house buying experience (9 months+) but Tim and the team were very helpful, despite being the EA for our sellers. They intervened when we reached out for help and kept checking in throughout the process. They seem open and honest and I'd use them if I ever came to sell (hopefully not for a while yet!!)

After a very slow couple of months with another agent, we decided to switch agents to Mockford and Hunt and so happy that we did with a sale within a couple of weeks. Tim, Frances and Charlotte have all been amazing throughout with the constant communication via a personal group chat for our sale and help guiding us through a tricky chain. Excellent service from start to finish beginning with my first call and speaking to Tim Mockford. Extremely pleasant and helpful. The team add you on Whatsapp and keep you updated throughout the often stressful process of buying a home. Frances has been fantastic, working very hard behind the scenes to get results, even on her day off. I can't recommend them enough!

Tim showed us a couple of houses locally, & he offered us some good suggestions on areas to look at as we don't know the town very well. He also took the time to find out what was important to us in our proposed house search, and made some good suggestions on the viewings. After offering on a house with another agent, I contacted Tim for his thoughts on whether I needed a survey as I haven't moved for 30+ yrs, & he has gone the extra mile to help out. He took the time to check out the house online, & gave his opinion about the condition, but didn't try to influence us. He has also given us good info about using a local surveyor for a homebuyers report, if we do decide to have one, and all this despite us not buying a house through him. He is genuinely interested in helping buyers find the right house, and makes the experience more personal than other agencies. I would definitely recommend his agency to anyone thinking of buying or selling their home.
