Can not recommend this company more. From the start to the finish my move from UK to Australia was faultless. Very responsive customer service. The removal team were thorough and professional when they came to pack and the delivery company likewise were attentive and professional. Great to be re-united with all my worldly goods.. I used Mercia to move my items from Nottingham to Brisbane back in May 2022 - everything has now arrived and I was delighted to see that there are no damages and nothing missing.

The whole process took 14 weeks on the groupage service they operate - i had the option of a dedicated service but wasn't in a mad rush to receive the goods so was really happy they arrived within that timescale, as I like most people have been really concerned with shipping delays - it's big on the news here in Oz and seeing some reports online in the UK I was expecting a longer delay, but thanks to everyone at Mercia, from my initial point of contact, through to their operation department - the lady there was extremely helpful with all the paperwork and the delivery side here in Brisbane was smooth and easy.

I'm now looking forward to using my surfboard on the waves ! Thanks Mercia !

Excellent service. The team were extremely accommodating and patient throughout the process of my move to the Netherlands. They kept things simple and provided explanations of all the processes needed for import/export of personal effects. They demonstrated flexibility through what would otherwise be a stressful process. Service and lots of my service memobrillia have been broken beyond repair, yes its sentimental but they dont give a complete damn. Lots of our possessions were broken/damaged. Be aware of the insurance they propose, doesnt mean a complete jot. Unprofessinal, uncaring and complete up for the cash cow. £3400 to pay for our possessions to get to Spain, I estimate we have over £1000 of damage, do they care, No !!!!!

Had a great moving experience with Mercia Movers. Their pricing is excellent and the service I got was great. I especially appreciated their responsiveness and readiness to answer any questions I had about the process and my move. The staff at both ends of the move was friendly, helpful, professional, and competent. International moving is exceedingly stressful - the moving company you end up using is like your partner in that process. On my hunt for movers to take care of our move from Bath to Belgium, I'd accidentally gotten two quotes from Mercia.

One was £4580 for 750cbft on a shared freight truck with a turnover time of 4 days, and the other quote was £3300 for 1060cbft (2 Lutons) with a turnover time of 1 night; this in itself was a bit of a red flag and the disparity was never truly explained.

Nethertheless, we went with the cheaper (and superior) option of 2 dedicated Luton vans and 2 moving guys to load/unload.

Everything was good until the actual move itself. As this was a 1 day turnaround to move to another country, time was tight. But our collection window was moved 3 days before, from 9-12h to 10-13h that had a huge knock on effect for the logistics (cleaners, travelling etc.).

On the morning of the move we were not contacted to be given an estimated arrival time, so I contacted the office. I contacted them again at 12pm as the drivers had still not turned up, nor had I been given even an estimation as to when they might. I was also repeatedly told by the gentleman on the phone that "it was clear I was getting very stressed" (very helpful, thank you). By 12:45pm I started panicking, but finally one driver turned up at our storage unit, and the other driver didn't turn up at our house until 1:30pm. They took a while to load, and were still doing it when our cleaners arrived. They were done at 4:30pm, and we didn't arrive in Belgium until 3am.
They didn't pack in a very secure way, using no ropes to tie anything down that did result in quite a lot of furniture scratches.

On moving day we were once again given no indication as to what time the movers would arrival (but they knew the 'lift' would be here at 12pm) and they arrived at 11:50am.

I'm not sure why they can't simply call on the day of to give a rough estimate [we all use sat nav these days]? We found it all quite stressful.

After considerable research I chose Mercia Movers to move my furniture from Shropshire to Dallas, Texas and it proved to be absolutely the right decision. From the start they were extremely helpful and answered all my numerous questions. I lived on my own and some of the form filling was a little stressful but Debbie, Martin and Simon helped me. The five guys, including Lee and Dave, who expertly packed up my contents were amazing (and strong); nothing was too much trouble (despite the heavy furniture) and had a sense of humour at all times. My furniture arrived in Dallas almost eight weeks to the date that it was collected. I would recommend Mercia Movers to anyone; they did everything and more they said they would. Mercia moved us from UK to Australia, they packed in Jan, received our container last week, May. The standard of packing was so poor, so disappointed after such great experience from our initial enquiry and with the arrangements for the move, good communication throughout including here in Australia. BUT no wardrobe boxes used, clothes stuffed into boxes, pictures and breakables not wrapped just piled in together, result is lots of broken glass, smashed mirror, a smashed wooden bed frame. Several items of sentimental value broken that can't be replaced. The unpacking team in Australia took notes and ensured we took photos as they opened boxes as packing so poor. Just really disappointed, and now have to wonder cynically if the great communication is just to get the business, then no care taken. We've had an email apology. Surely a key element of service for a removal company is a high standard of packing. Now have to deal with insurance claim, not really what you want to be doing when you've not long arrived in a new country. We won't be recommending Mercia.

Just want to thank Mercia for great communication and follow up in helping us plan our move to New Zealand. Thanks Martin for follow up which was much better than competitors. I would recommend Mercia on this basis alone.

We recently moved from London to Rome, Italy. Merciamovers were very accommodating as we returned to them after hearing other quotes, reviewing theirs as we reduced the list of items. Really good value for money, super-helpful with all our doubts and questions, punctual and reliable, and very friendly and supportive.

We recently completed a move from Cardiff to Amsterdam. After getting a few quotes, Mercia Movers stood out as the clear choice for us. Rebecca was very quick to provide a quote and answered all our questions. We also appreciated all the support from Martin (with payments) and Debbie who helped us to prepare all our documents for customs. Debbie also kept us informed of when we could expect our items to arrive in Amsterdam. Our items arrived in just over 5 weeks. The collection and delivery teams were punctual, polite, efficient and extremely careful with our items. We couldn't recommend more and will certainly use Mercia Movers again when we make plans to return to the UK!
