Mercia were professional all the way through from the initial sales engagement from Simon all the way through to the operation and removal. Debbie and the team kept me up to date and responded quickly to any queries. On the removal days Lee, Dave and their team had great attention to detail and were very caring and fun to deal with. Would highly recommend this company 'Great team who really care about their customers'!!

We needed to find away of getting our possessions from the Island of Madeira to UK, after many failed attempts we found Merciamovers. From start to finish Kate was superb. All boxes arrived, extremely efficient and great communication. Everything she did was very much appreciated.

I recently used Mercia to move goods from the U.K. to France. They were really efficient - doing exactly what they said they would and (significantly) on the dates they said they would do it; which was important to us. Their people were all really pleasant to deal with as well as being extremely helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

We recently used Mercia movers to relocate my mother from Germany to the UK. Cannot recommend them enough, it was a very sad move for us after leaving Germany after 25yrs and it was made that much easier dealing with Mercia. Martin and the team were very, friendly and professional, updating us throughout the whole move and the guys doing the physical move couldn't have been nicer, hard working and nothing was a problem. We did alot of research and had many companies giving us prices, Mercia did not come in the cheapest but were considerably cheaper than some other companies, we believe it was excellent value for money for the service that they provided. Keep on moving Mercia.

Arrived exactly on time,due to heavy garden furniture a element of play was introduced.Could 3 as I had to give a hand (agreed beforehand) ex squaddies still manage a acceptable gun race game but using the ramp and a heavy a 150kg garden bench as the canon.

Excellent, efficient move! Happy to help when quoting on our house contents and planning what would suit best very early on and provided advice throughout. On the day, team came to the house early doors to check what would be needed and decide on how many vehicles/ what type - came back with a small lorry and a Luton van, got our entire 3 bed house and garden stowed in 2 and a half hours. No breakages, everything treated with great care and packed well, guys were problem solvers and found the best way of protecting some challenging kit including 3 glass display cabinets. Patient and knew their stuff, waited for the keys to arrive and got straight on with unloading, having us in our new home within a couple of hours. Definitely recommended, reasonable prices and flexible with the vaugeries of conveyancing dates - we would never move on our own again!

Considering the current issues current events have caused when trying to move countries which I’m sure we are all too aware of, Mercia have been absolutely fantastic from start to finish! I have moved around A LOT and moving house is not easy at the best of times but covid has certainly made it a lot more challenging for everyone but Mercia really did make the process so, so much easier, they explained clearly from the beginning that delays may be incurred due to this which I understood and they kept me informed on the progress of my goods throughout, if ever I asked for an update they got back to me very quickly, excellent communication from the office. Crew on day of packing were fantastic, really nice lads, as were the crew at delivery too. Just an ever so slight scratch to just one of my items which of course a very small amount of damage when moving such a long way is to be expected but as I had taken out full insurance cover, my claim was processed very quickly. All round excellent service, highly recommend and will not be going anywhere else now next time I move in the future.

We used Mercia for our removal from Watford to Texas, USA and from the moment we first enquired through to the delivery nothing was too much trouble. Even with the expected delays due to covid the items arrived in a timely manner (we were kept upto date with the delays) and nothing arrived broken. All round very happy - thank you Mercia.

Horrible service.
They are really nice at the beginning and pressure you pay as quick as possible with the excuse to book a slot for you - which is meant to translate in a quicker delivery. However it is not the reality.
We were told the transfer would take between 10 to 14 days. Right now, 24 days after the collection we are still waiting to receive them.
The latest communication we have got from them is that we will still need to wait two more weeks, which means they are going to take about 40 days to make the delivery.
When asked for compensation we have been denied one because they said the times given were estimated.
I could understand a difference of a week but not double the amount of time.
I would never recommend this service.
I just hope our belongings arrive in good conditions because, after what I have heard from them, I doubt they would give any compensation for loss or damages either.

I booked Mercia Movers for my move from the UK to the US after comparing a range of options based on price and reviews. I was weary of dealing with sketchy companies and I originally chose Mercia due to the fantastic reviews. I was hopeful I would have a positive experience, but found they were likely not much better than the rest. The bottom line is that once they have your money, all bets are off.

The good:
- Customer service at the onset from Mercia was friendly and prompt
- Items once finally arrived were mostly in tact

The bad:
- When I received my items, it appeared the original quote was for 40% more goods than I actually shipped. When I questioned, this they refused to offer any reimbursement or gesture. Advice: Make sure to question your survey volume as they will add in a contingency, and offer no compensation if you are under.
- They outsourced 2/3 of the service to a company that did not share their values for good communication and service to the point where I went through a period of 8 weeks with no idea where my belongings were.
- Timing took nearly double the estimated, which combined with poor communication was very concerning. When I questioned this, they came up with a million excuses and suggested I should feel bad for them because the shipping industry has been busy during COVID and Brexit.
A more appropriate response would be to thanking me for my patience and understanding.

Summary: Though they appear to have better service and polish vs other companies you may come across, they are just another shipping company.

Mercia movers were brilliant from start to finish. The men who moved us were so lovely and helpful and we just left them to get on with things. Couldn’t have been happier with the service. Thank you!

Relocating from the uk to Australia is a long, long, document ridden intricate process filled with trepidation and fear of things not being right. Our choice of Mercia movers has been the easiest, best advised and supported part of the whole event. From first quote to arriving in Australia and seeing all of our belongings in situ, all intact and extremely well packaged for the trip has been such a joy. The price to pick up, store, despatch to vessel, customs clearance with their Australian partners and subsequent delivery to our new address is quite frankly amazing value for money. We had an overall excellent experience with Mercia Movers. Making the decision about which company to use wasn't easy but this company were well ahead on responsiveness and level of information. All communication before the move was vry good - all queries answered promptly and help given where needed for completion of paperwork. The team in England were really great - one of them called in the day before to get an overview of the job. They arrived promptly the next morning and were very organised and efficient. All items were packed very thoroughly and securely and care was taken in handling everything. The team were cheerful and very helpful with last minute requests. We were delighted that our furniture arrived in Spain just 6 days later. Again we had an efficient team - they worked quickly and made sure every item was accountd for. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mercia Movers to other people moving abroad.

Having lived in the same house for 26 years we were nervous about such a big move from North Wales to Southern Germany. I should not have worried. Mercia people were brilliant from the start. Following a friendly and reassuring detailed video survey we received a competitive (not the cheapest) quote which allowed for some last minute changes of mind and extra items. They were extremely responsive whenever I contacted them with a question and they helped with the customs formalities.
On the day of the move we were kept well informed of the arrival time. The men were extremely helpful, pleasant and willing to accommodate our requests. The same was true for the crew unloading in Germany. Overall, the whole move went smoothly. There was no damage and we are more than satisfied.

I contacted Mercia Movers recently about a move from Scotland to The Netherlands before Christmas. From the outset they were super responsive and knowledgable, happy to answer all of my questions and also point out things that I hadn't considered. This gave me confidence straight away in their professionalism. In the end, I have decided to go with another removal company - that's entirely due to my personal circumstances and preferred moving dates, and worth saying that the price I'm paying is on a par with what Mercia quoted - but they are probably the first company I would contact in the future if I am moving back to the UK.

We (my husband and I) started our moving process in Aug 2021, when Simon quickly sent us a quotation for collection, transport and delivery to Switzerland plus packaging materials (packing done by ourselves). We ordered some extra materials which Simon hapilly agreed to cover the extra costs. The crew collected our things and everything was loaded in 1 hour. We also needed aprox. 30 days of storage, which Mercia eficiently arranged the space and sent us the storage costs for approval. We've kept Debbie informed on dates we would be able to move in to our permanent flat and, on 05/11 we received our belongings in good condition with no issues to report. The crew again was very efficient and communication with Justin was smooth.
