A massive thank you

I can’t thank Ewan enough for his support, kindness and professionalism helping me to purchase a Shared Ownership property.
There were a few very stressful times but at every point Ewan responded to my queries quickly and appropriately guiding me through the process.

Would not recommend buying a home from…

Would not recommend buying a home from this company especially when staircasing. We got our RICS valuation done and sent off but they didn’t agree to it. And now want to send their own out just so they can get more money out of us . Stay well clear from these thieves.

We was told we could move in beginning…

We was told we could move in beginning of August but you had problems with the contracts leaving us homeless for a week as you had to change the contracts we had to ring round in circles , leaving me and my family knowhere to live for a whole week , with no money as we had already put it all into the house , not one person offered any help just kept passing the blame

Having looked into this further, it is apparent that the delays were not caused by anyone at Heylo.

Heylo's legal representative were asked by the developer solicitors, to make amendments to the title transfer very late in the transaction. These were done the same day and returned, however the transfer was then not sent back by the builders solicitor for over two weeks.

The builder had allowed you to give your notice to move out of your old property, before this was received which they shouldn't have really as the date wasn't formally agreed.

Once Heylo were aware that you wouldn't be able to move in to your new house, we suggested a licence to occupy the property until the completion could take place, this would have allowed you access to the property, however this was not accepted by the builder.

However as the title documents needed to be changed at a 3rd party's request, this was out of the hands of Heylo.

We sincerely apologise that you couldn't move in when you wanted to, risking you and your family being homeless, we would never want this to happen.

We hope now though, that you are settling in well and enjoying your home.

It has been a flawless process with Heylo

It has been a flawless process with Heylo/ Home Reach from start to finish. They have always been super helpful, answered all of my questions and accommodated for me where necessary. I have just completed but so far I can’t fault the process. Based on the service so far, I wouldn’t hesitate to use Heylo/ Home Reach again.

Genuinely impressed with Heylo’s service and attention to detail.

While I know it’s not a one-way transaction and it’s in Heylo’s interest to receive money for its properties, I really did feel that Heylo was genuinely supportive and backing us from the start. The information they send is comprehensive but clearly worded; open and honest throughout. As soon as we suggested an ideal completion date they repeatedly made sure things happened their end to meet that date. Without them, we wouldn’t now be superbly happy in our forever home. Then sending us a bag of really nice goodies once we had already moved in was a really nice touch.

Rachel is a star and 5 stars is not enough…

Stay away from Shared Ownership

As a single parent I purchased a shared ownership property as a way to help me onto the property ladder. Due to financial difficulties, I am needing to sell. I accepted an offer on the property in January and due to issues caused by Heylo solicitors ie, not registering the property at land registry and missing legal information on documents have 8 months later been unable to complete on the sale.
These issues have been highlighted to the relevant parties and neither have taken responsibility to fix them.
I feel this is the hidden catch with shared ownership, you are unable to sell when need to.
What should be a simple sale has caused nothing but stress, anxiety and financial difficulties.
This sale has gone on now since January and has therefore put me further into financial difficulties.
I feel Heylo are preventing me from being able to sell the property and are not prepared to fix the issues they have caused.

I appreciate the response however these issues are still ongoing and have not be resolved. Penningtons where the acting solicitors when I purchased the property and caused numerous issues. These issues have came to light now that I am trying to sell the property. Penningtons have been notified of the issues and have not been forth coming in resolving them. They are not prepared to take responsibility or meet my solicitor in the middle to get this resolved.
Yes this has been handed over to the manager, however he is leaving the company today and no one senior has taken over.
This is going to cause a total chain collapse and leave me and my children with nowhere to live.
The stress this is causing has made me ill, and having a huge detrimental effect on my physical and mental health.

Ewa Skrzynska is brilliant

Ewa Skrzynska is a credit and massive asset to a otherwise poor company. She is totally wasted at heylo as she's different class.
Short story heylo kindly bought our new house "before we did" and added over £11,000 to the asking price. Barretts knew nothing about it apparently "nothing to see" attitude. We only found out when we came to sell the house. Back to the star 🌟 anyway Ewa Skrzynska is super helpful, super efficient and superb at communications. Thank you Ewa for everything 🙏 ❤️
