Dont fall into the trap of half buy half rent, Heylo raises rents increase drastically every year

I heard about Heylo whist looking on rightmove, I was unaware that you could get shared ownership houses that were not new build or through housing association. Down sizing due to marriage breakdown I was able to put a lump sum down & rent the remainder through Heylo. I would quickly eaten through my equity if I had had to rent and certainly would not have had a nice 2 bed semi in a nice area, had I not seen the Leaders Estate Agent posting offering shared ownership. It was a seamless transaction, Heylo were helpful and assisted me in over coming a couple of obstacles that arise during a purchase - I was not eligible for a mortgage so it was a win win for me - would definitely recommend this way of part owning/part renting a home.

I recently had a fantastic experience with Heylo Housing, and I can't recommend them enough! From the very beginning, their team was incredibly helpful and attentive. They guided me through the entire process, making it easy to understand and stress-free.

My husband got a job in Japan and with a heavy heart, we had to sell our 50% share. There were some minor challenges (none of Heylo's fault to be fair) along the way but you could expect that from any property purchase or sale.

Heylo provided guidance and also communicated with our property agent to ensure advertisements are within the guidelines to continue helping others with affordable homes. Our shared ownership home was quickly picked up and sold within 2 weeks to another young family as their first home too.

I want to thank Natasha Marsden, Resales and Staircasing Officer for the outstanding customer service, taking the time to understand our family needs and preferences, and ensuring we were able to sell our 50% share in the timeframe we needed to due to relocating to Japan for work. The support throughout the selling process was exceptional.

Without Heylo, I don't think we would have been able to own a house and build a beautiful memory with our little kids, now 10 and 7. Even though it was a short moment (approximately 3.5 years), those memories are something we all will treasure for the rest of our lives. We have made this house a home and we know the new family will do too.

I am in the process of buying more shares there is no one to call and speak they send forms which require you to ask for further information would higly dicourage anyone from going with Heylo dont be mislead by the fact they once your RIC survey is done you can buy more shares they will reject it if it does not match internal data
