This is an update

This is an update. Beware of this company, I reported a flaw in this unit within 5 mins of opening it, and then waited for a response. They replied asking for another pic, showing where the fault was and I was out so couldn’t do that, but responded saying it should not matter where the fault was on a one piece unit, the whole piece has to be replaced. They then used delaying tactic to keep asking for extra pics so they could see where the flaw was. In the end I assembled the unit with a view to swap the side panel when I got a replacement. And they now say they won’t do anything as it has been assembled. As you can see from their response they clearly say that this damage was caused whilst it was being assembled, which is an outright lie because the complaint was sent within a few mins of the unit arriving. And they knew this. This company had no intention of resolving the problem at all, but seek to blame me for the fault. I might also add that I was offered a £15 refund for this fault, after it was assembled, which I declined because I just wanted a unit without flaws. Just be very wary of a firm who tries to blame the customer for a fault on their goods, they have lost my custom for sure!

We are always disappointed to learn that any customer has an issue with their new furniture.

After reviewing the communication with our customer service team we can see there were two e-mails requesting images. You had initially sent an image, however this was a little too close for us to establish the nature of the issue. Following from this we requested a further zoomed out image so we could view the issue more clearly and assess the location of the issue you had. Upon receipt of this we sought some final clarification regarding what the image was displaying.

Rather than a crack to the product as referenced, the product appears to have a scratch which is located directly where you have inserted the studs to the inside of your console table as part of the assembly process. Furn-On request that all items are checked prior to assembly and any fault reported immediately to avoid this scenario. Despite the numerous references to this clearly highlighted in e-mails sent prior to delivery, the product was assembled prior to the damage being reported. In view of this, we cannot eliminate the possibility that the issue occurred as part of the assembly process.

Our customers have up to 14 days after delivery to notify of any issues therefore the five minutes you have reported does not impact how your order was managed. The issue lies in the fact that assembly was completed as this restricts our ability to work in conjunction with our suppliers to resolve any issue with our customers.

Devon 2 door oak wardrobe

We ordered the 2 door Devon oak wardrobe from Furn-On and the communication from placing the order to delivery was fantastic!! The wardrobe was self assembly but everything was there, there was nothing missing, and my husband put it together himself. For the money, the wardrobe looks really expensive and is great quality. I would certainly recommend Furn-On and will definitely order from them again.

Very happy customer

I hadn't heard of the company before so was a bit skeptical but I'm so glad I placed this order. My new wardrobe is amazing. Small cracks but nothing noticeable. The delivery was quick and easy, the men were lovely and did say that the company were good at sending replacements if anything was damaged.
Only thing was the instructions... they could be much better, but I did manage to put this up by myself so didn't do too bad! Would just ask for pilot holes as the instructions said no electric screwdriver to be used.
Very happy with the price too, over £150 cheaper than other sites 😀

Excellent company

I have nothing but good things to say about this company.
Any questions I had prior to purchasing my item were swifty answered by Tony. Being my first purchase from this company I was a little unsure, but I did not need to have worried .
Professional, and kept me up to date with delivery. Item was well packaged.
The delivery company I was not so happy with 2 hours later than expected!

Good service and decent product for the price

The website is easy to negotiate in order to find items of furniture within the same range. The next-day delivery service was excellent. The prices are very competitive.

It is worth noting that the drawer in the coffee table tilts downward on opening, therefore we would advise caution if considering storing any delicate items in it, or alternatively make sure to keep a firm hold on the drawer whilst it is open. I have brought this to the attention of Furn-On, who are going to raise the issue with their supplier.

Great service and price

Better price than buying locally and the free delivery was a big saving too. The staff who answered the phone were very helpful. Overall a much better experience than dealing with a a huge company. Would definitely shop here again.

Hugely disappointed experience I could I would not allocate any…

If I could I would not allocate any stars. No where in the advertising of this company does it indicate that the furniture maybe flat pack. I ordered a chest of drawers which I thought would be assembled. I contacted them and asked to return it giving my reasons why, when delivered I was not at home and another family member accepted it on my behalf. Otherwise I would not have accepted the delivery. They wanted me to pay £30 to return it. The reason why I did not want to assembled it was if it was poorly constructed the company would probably say it was my fault. In the end I had put together by a friend whose job regularly builds flat packs. My fears were right, the draw size had wasted space either side of each drawer, there were different sized gaps between the individual drawers. Making the overall look shoddy. A hugely disappointing purchase. If purchasing from this company check first whether the product is assembled or flat pack.
