Policy renewal
Had a little trouble registering online but once I sorted that out the webside is easy to navigate. Once my renewal details were complete it didnt give me the option to request paper copies of the documents so ended up ringing customer services and they sorted it out instead

Renewal experience was fine login system had some issues
The renewal experience was fine and easy to do. I did have some minor issues with the login system as I'd forgotten my password it did not recognise my memorable information which I'm sure was correct. Then I managed to register as new user even though I was already registered with the same email address.
I'd like to have the login link available on the main Columbus page and to be able to login with my Google account.

Failure of your auto renewal process…
I discovered that you had not auto renewed my policy meaning my family has been travelling abroad this summer without insurance. You said you sent me emails to ask re the status of my children although I never received them. You automatically implied this was my responsibility. It clearly isn’t as I can’t be responsible if something has gone to junk mail. The net result is that I had no insurance and you had no premium from me - why on earth would I want to be in this situation? To put this right I have spent 1.5 hrs talking either to your bot or renewing my policy while on holiday so you have a very unhappy customer.

We note you've been a customer of ours for quite a few years now and we very much appreciate that you have continued to purchase cover in that time. We have seen though that the policy has never auto-renewed in that time. In prior years this was due to an additional premium that had been paid that meant we did not auto-renew and for the last couple of years it's been because your children are over the standard age of cover.
Where we can auto-renew customers we will and this is ideal for us and our customers as this avoids the risk of any break in cover. Whilst we make every effort to auto-renew where we can, it's not a guaranteed service and the responsibility for making sure there is cover in place is with the customer.
For the avoidance of doubt, please note we will not be able to auto-renew your policy next year or at any time your children are on the policy as they are over the standard age of cover so we need to check that they are still eligible for the policy each year.
