I’m very disappointed with Columbus…
I’m very disappointed with Columbus Direct. I filed a claim on March and have repeatedly chased updates by phone and email over six months. Despite multiple complaints, I've had no meaningful response. Customer service has only said 'under investigation' with no timeline or resolution. This lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. I cannot recommend their service based on this experience.

Very helpful call handler
Very helpful call handler - think his name was Wilson. We did have some issues with payment links but Wilson resolved those so my policy could be renewed.

EDITED FOLLOWING EXCELLENT RESPONSE FROM COLUMBUS
Forcing us to buy winter sports insurance when we do not want to ski - we are 81 and 73 - seems unnecessarily harsh. There should be an option for cheaper cover if you're not using any special equipment in the mountains, just ordinary footwear. Not impressed but glad at least that you cover people over 80.
EDIT: As a result (presumably) of this review, someone called me from Columbus and told me I'd been given the wrong information, and Winter Sports Cover is NOT required just for walking in normal boots or for taking a chairlift or gondola up the mountain for lunch. They are refunding the Winter Sports part of the policy. Very grateful indeed for the follow up and I want to praise them for excellent customer service.
