I was sent a faulty item and found the company extremely difficult to contact. The email address listed on their website bounced back messages, and the phone number rang out with no option to leave a voicemail.
When I finally found a working email address, the company attempted to misrepresent my consumer rights regarding returns. I would strongly advise customers not to simply accept what they are told and to research their legal rights independently before proceeding.
Based on my experience, I would avoid purchasing from this company and instead use a retailer with accessible customer service and clearer return policies.

Not sure what happened to this company

Not sure what happened to this company, I remember them being decent a few years back. Just spent and hour on the phone in a queue of 3, when it finally got to my turn the phone just rang endlessy. Suggest avoiding!

Different coloured shoes in the shoe box

I ordered few items from central sports . They took a very long time to deliver ( saying the autograph on racket can take uoto 6 weeks ) but when I received my order they had sent wrong pair of shoes ( 2 different colours ) . Didn’t expect this after such a long delay in delivery

Not Secure to be operating online

Saw an item which was listed as in stock, then waited 24 hours to be told it wasnt without any pending transaction.
10 days later, fraudsters had gathered my information from Central Sports as their payment facilitator (Paypoint?) is not secure and proceeded to purchased gift cards from Onsi.
Do not use this company online unless you want to risk your personal details being leaked!!!

they do not comply with UK consumer laws

Ordered a badminton racket which was received in reasonable time however the specific grip size was incorrect as advertised on their website, product description and order notifications - I told them the item received had a different sticker and sent evidence - I asked to return and refund. They only gave me a partial refund without prior notification and have since ignored my emails after I pointed out that they do not comply with UK consumer laws regarding distance selling.

Faulty racket received, but issue handled very well

Initially, my order was delayed due to understandable reasons, but when I received my Astrox 99 Pro, there was an obvious fault around the cone/handle area.

Because of some of the bad reviews I had seen, and also a previous issue I had with an order, I wasn’t very confident about how this would be handled. I mentioned this openly to the team, and to be fair, once the issue was raised, they handled it really well.

They responded quickly to my emails, sent out a prepaid return label, inspected the racket, and dispatched a replacement racket strung to my requested spec the same day after inspection.

Of course, you could say this is what should happen when an item arrives faulty, and it doesn’t undo the initial delay or my previous experience. But based on this specific issue, I can confidently say they dealt with the fault properly and recovered the situation well.

Overall, 4/5 — not perfect because of the delay and the fault, but the customer service once the problem was reported was very good.

Avoid and don’t fall for the discount

Extremely poor service and communication. After ordering and no communication I had to call them up multiple times and the guy kept saying will dispatch it the next day, this continued for 2 days then he said oh we don’t have stock so will cancel the order!!!

Very Poor Return & Refund Experience

Very Poor Return & Refund Experience – Avoid

I had a highly disappointing experience with Central Sports regarding a return and refund that has still not been resolved after over 2 years.
• My return was approved on 28 October 2023, and I sent the items back the same day.
• After hearing nothing, I followed up multiple times:
• December 2023
• January 2024
• July 2025
• No responses at all for months and even years.

Finally, in July 2025, I received a reply asking for proof of postage. By then, it had already been nearly 2 years since the return. I provided all the information I had available.

Despite continued follow-ups (August 2025 and March 2026), I only received another response in March 2026, stating they cannot process the refund without a tracking number or receipt.

The main issues:
• Extremely poor communication – long periods with zero response
• Unreasonable expectations – asking for proof after such a long delay
• No accountability – no effort to investigate internally despite approving the return
• Customer service failure – no escalation or resolution offered

If this had been handled when I first contacted them in December 2023, this situation could have been easily resolved.

Instead, I’ve been left without a refund and with no meaningful support.

Final thoughts:
Very disappointing experience. I would strongly recommend being cautious when ordering, especially if you might need to return items.

Possibly the worst online shopping experience I’ve ever had. On the website, Central sports seems professional in its intricate website designs and its range of products, but digging 5 seconds deeper you’ll realise this filth pit of a “business” is. To start, I ordered a Wilson nfl American football, paying for next day delivery as I needed this ASAP or else it would be useless to me, so I ordered. Monday the first working day rolled around and I expected atleast for my ball to be dispatched; but no, the label wasn’t even created. Okay cool, must be a mistake with the tracking software, I’ll just hit customer service for an update. Spoilers, I was on the line for about 1 hr, starting to think they were just dodging my calls. With an inch of hope left I emailed customer service, no response. It was then that I looked at the reviews. Appalling. Hundreds of people out here that complain of orders never even leaving the warehouse and being a nightmare to refund. So, I contacted central sports again in an attempt to cancel my order. No response. Only when I got my bank involved in an attempt to get my money back did they quickly process my refund.

No idea how this swamp for a business is still alive, if I was ashamed enough to be the owner I’d instantly remove any trace of this business’s existence.

Poor customer service and communication

I ordered badminton shoes and Yonex Mavis 600 shuttles from Central Sports (Order CS72461). The experience was poor from start to finish.
Right after placing the order, I asked if the shoe colour could be changed to black/lime, since their website doesn’t clearly show colour options and I only discovered the colour later through one of their ads.
I contacted them quickly, well before dispatch, and even spoke to a customer service representative on the phone. I was told:
• The black/lime shoes were in stock
• The item was being located in the warehouse
• My order had been placed on hold
• I would receive a call back with confirmation
None of that happened.
Instead, I later received a dispatch notification with the original shoes, and the order was delivered without any update, confirmation, or follow-up. I tried calling repeatedly and sat in phone queues for long periods without getting through. Emails also went unanswered for days.
The problem isn’t just the wrong shoe colour. The real issue is the poor communication and false assurances. If the change couldn’t be made, that’s fine — just say so. Don’t tell a customer the order is on hold and then ship it anyway.
When they finally responded, the reply simply blamed the difficulty of making order changes and the high volume of orders. That explanation ignores the fact that their own staff confirmed the change was being handled and that the order was on hold.
This was a frustrating experience that wasted a lot of time chasing updates that never came.
If you value reliable customer service and clear communication, I would strongly recommend staying away from this vendor.

Dont buy from them. They are cheeky. No customer care service. Your order will never reach you. you will struggle for refund.

Ordered a shirt in early Dec

Ordered a shirt in early Dec, late Feb still didn't have it. Requested update so many occasions and called but ignored. Eventually had to go through social media to get it sorted for a refund

Terrible customer service, no care whatsoever

Ordered some products on Monday afternoon. Order wasn't dispatched until Friday. Sent many emails asking why there was no communication. Only then did they say it was being delayed. Had to ask several times before they said it was coming from different warehouses so would take some time. Had asked the process to cancel, was completely ignored. Chased again and they just sent the product anyway giving a generic mail that the order was delayed. Tried asking how I can return it, again outright ignored. Given the other reviews, they obviously dont care about the customers.

Received the wrong size with a name…

Received the wrong size with a name print. I have asked for a replacement and they are not taking accountability with their error. When I sent over evidence, they have stopped replying to my emails and have ignored them.
I WANT MY REPLACEMENT OR JUST GIVE ME A REFUND.

Frauds.

Frauds. At no cost order a gift card from them. I did for a £50 gift card which they said on their orders had been sent and wanted me to confirm receipt of. Funny how every other email from them has come but the actual one with the gift card,Their reply when it did not come in was this, 'The gift card was sent to you in a separate email.' (So they admit that bit of it.) 'Please allow some time for it to arrive and kindly check your inbox and junk/spam folders.' ( As if checking the junk folder wasn't the first thing I did. ) 'We can reassure you that no money has been lost, and the gift card is valid.' (Well that's a lot of good when there's no card.) ' If you still do not see it after checking, please let us know and we will resend it immediately.' ( I did and I am still waiting for either an acknowledge a reply, or our money back as requested. Needless to say we are reporting them to our bank this morning as frauds.)

Painful experience getting a refund for an order not received

I placed an order for a Christmas present on 22nd December and paid through the nose for next day delivery. The order was sent but for reasons that are still unclear to me, delivery was attempted to the wrong house (the 'proof of delivery' photo was clearly not my address) and the tracking later showed as returning to sender

On 23rd December, tried calling Central Sports twice but there was no answer. I emailed Central Sports explaining what happened asking what they could do, e.g. send a replacement.

I still had no answer by 2nd January, and over the course of the next few days, I tried calling them 10 times without answer and sent a chaser email.

On 8th January, they eventually replied to my original query. What followed was a slow exchange of emails where their customer service team variously:
- failed to see an issue because the parcel showed as delivered
- said they wouldn't issue me a refund unless they physically got the goods back
- after saying an investigation deemed the parcel correctly delivered, basically said if I had a problem with it take it up with the delivery company

Even after supplying them with CCTV footage showing the parcel *not* being delivered to my house, they showed no inclination to give me the refund I was asking for.

On 23rd January, after saying I would proceed with a claim to recover my money unless they refunded me, they almost immediately processed a refund, even though nothing had changed since they ignored my previous refund request.

I found their customer service team unresponsive, unhelpful, distrustful and primarily focussed on fobbing me off/keeping my money, even in the face of overwhelming evidence that the parcel wasn't delivered to me.

Three months no delivery and no refund

Central Sports is a joke of a company. The customer service is horrendous. Three months after I have made a purchase I still haven’t received what I paid for, and they refuse to give me a refund. (See details below)

I purchase some custom made items and also paid for shipment. The package was originally supposed to be delivered by DHL and after the package has been stuck in transit for over a week I reached out to CS to raise my concern, and CS told me not to worry. After the scheduled delivery was a week delayed I reached out again, and CS told me they would contact DHL, and then CS remained silent. About a month after I made my purchase with CS and still haven’t received what I paid for, I wrote an email to request a full refund. They ignored that email for a week, so I gave them a call to express my dissattisfaction. After the call, they wrote a summary email saying that they would give me a refund. After that we had a few email correspondences where CS asked me questions to figure out what went wrong with the shipment, and finally they were able to get the package back from DHL. However, after two month since the purchase was made, I still have gotten neither my package nor my money back. So I wrote them another angry email. They were very reluctant to give me a refund, so they told me that they sent the package to me with Fedex this time. What do you know, the package did not arrive. Instead of sending the package to me, the package was sent to Israel. After another month I am still waiting for either my money or my package. Through this whole process CS has conducted themselves with a “I don’t give a **** attitude”. They have shown no urgency in trying to help me. They were super slow in reacting every time I reached out to them. They have been extremely inefficient in contacting both DHL and FedEx in the UK, that has screwed up both times. Considering the amount of delay, one would expect that they would pick up the phone to get a hold of the courier service to figure out what’s going on immediately, but no, all they did was write and wait for the response. They have shown no empathy, they did not care what so ever about how long I have waited, since they have already gotten paid. CS is a joke.

Very professionally and knowledgeable

Wow, these guys really know there stuff when it comes to rackets. They were so knowledgeable and friendly, that we ended up ordering new club t-shirts, we went with a brand I've not heard of 'AIXO' because the price was so competitive, the quality was no different to the other leading brands, size wise is similar to Yonex, so many need to try first or go up a size. They didn't rush me when fussing over the design and colours, as there were so many options. Super impressed with there service, we'll definitely be using them again, and my brothers badminton club have now ordered new kit from them too. Keep up the good work Guys, rare to get such helpful service these days.

Don't order from these unless you check…

Don't order from these unless you check stock 1st...I ordered a special jacket for my nephew for his birthday...didn't turn up at all...was told its out of stock...rubbish service and took money for something that didn't exist...be careful when ordering and if you can...buy elsewhere...ordered 11th November for delivery between 1st and 6th December...had to get money back after New year...my nephew devastated...
