Great solution for Shopify ecomm…

Great solution for Shopify ecomm stores!

What we liked:
- Easy, smooth and fast with Shopify (we previously used TradeGecko / QuickBooks Commerce and it was a nightmare!!!)
- Individual modules for inventory management, warehouse operations, and demand planning helps to give each area the UI/UX it needs (instead of cramming it all into one solution)
- 24/7 phone & email support, dedicated account managers, plenty of online resources and ongoing improvements in the software help with anything that doesn't work perfectly
- Integrates easily with Xero, but has an accounting module included, which means data can be easily reconciled between the 2 systems

What we don't like:
- Some pieces of integration with Shopify are more clunky than others; further work is required especially on the returns & exchanges process and on order editing (it works, but could be smoother)
- There is a lot of functionality, and for a new user this can be overwhelming; training new customer service staff on the system has been pretty challenging, as we are still learning the ins and outs ourselves
- Accounting in Xero for cost of goods sold and inventory by geography (when you hold stock across multiple legal entities) requires a bit of excel work each month, when it really should be an easy pull from the system

Overall, BrightPearl has been a massive improvement to our operations, enabling us to significantly scale up our daily fulfilment targets while eliminating the millions of spreadsheets previously used to track all types of operational idiosyncrasies.

Great customer service

Required some information for a VAT review, after a couple of issues with the first report Jamie and his team (Andy and Sara) dedicated their time to getting this done before our deadline. Keeping me updated throughout and being a great help as it was not an easy report to do. Thank you for the excellent service :)

Great Onboarding

They understood our company processes and were attentive, professional, and helpful throughout the entire setup process. It was the best onboarding process that I have experienced. I think the software is best suited for B2B selling, but I do see that they are making improvements to better manage ecommerce direct to consumer.

Transform your business.........

We went live with Brightpearl in March 2020 and it has literally transformed our business. It has streamlined the picking, packing and dispatch process so that we can handle far more orders that we ever could. 'Out of stock' product issues have been virtually eliminated and we have a full view of our customer orders, our inventory, and our purchase orders whilst selling seamlessly across 3 different channels. Very impressed!!

Brightpearl 5*

Brightpearl is an excellent system, it supperted us with inventory tracking, WMS and has helped us to be really efficient with automating tasks.

This has had a positive effect on how we work as a company.

BrightPearl is a powerful and flexible product

I have used BrightPearl for over 8 years now, as the Finance Manager of both a UK and a US Company. It is a very powerful accounting and inventory management system. It has flexibility and robustness plus a helpful customer service team when you need them. BrightPearl is constantly innovating and its remote real time access means that the whole team can make the most of its features wherever they are.

Strong platform with great flexibility and excellent support

Brightpearl makes it very easy to manage multi-channel orders and fulfillment. It's an essential tool for our showroom and websites with different sales channels and fulfillment partners. Brightpearl allows us to have everything tied together under 1 platform, giving us a lot of flexibility with business transparency. The automation tool is also very important as it saves time and money with the ability to automate simple everyday tasks.

Additionally, due to brightpearls ability to integrate with all our sales channels and warehouses, it allowed for a quick and seamless switch from one pallet network to another saving us money with out the expense of coding and this is just one of the reasons we have been with them over 5 years.

DO NOT PURCHASE! I cannot warn people strongly enough. They have no transparency on pricing and then increase future years costs with no discussion and clearly in breach of contract. The arrogance of the sales team is unreal and they are simply trying to break the american market with no regard for the UK customers.

Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry you feel we haven't been transparent and fair to you, however from our perspective, I feel we have been both.

Our pricing is in line with usage and growth. As a business grows, so do the demands on our platform. The cost for us to keep meeting those demands grows in tandem (the platform itself, but the services they receive too). So in essence, the more you use/put through us, the more you pay. That sounds fair to us.

On Brightpearl, your business has almost tripled since your last renewal with us and so paying more than you paid before that growth is also fair. We've been very upfront and transparent about these increases and have given advance notice stated in our terms and conditions alongside a full breakdown of your contract pricing. Further, we have increased the discount applied to your renewal by over 20% as we do appreciate that price increases, no matter how fair they may be, are never ideal.

I hope this helps explain our side of things and we are able to move forward together. If you need any more detail, your Success team is here for you.

Lied to at point of sale - Avoid!

Lied to at point of sale - the software does not do what their reps state. Not prepared to create bespoke reports. Don't reply to complaints. I've had an issue since October 2020, which I keep being told will be resolved, but still isn't. Now they just don't reply, neither do their complaints team.
Look elsewhere for your software, we are!

17/3/21 Update.
5 months on, and simple supplier account issue finally resolved.

Our Sales teams make a point of being brutally honest with potential customers (even if it might lose us a sale) because we're committed to full transparency between both parties. So this being said, I'm very surprised that you've been misled.

Been using Brightpearl a few years now!

Been using Brightpearl a few years now, love the speed at which customer support helps.
We finally have a process for everything inventory related in our business from purchasing, through to pick/pack/dispatch/invoice and everything in between. Staff finally have tools they need to do their jobs effectively without resorting to a series of unconnected spreadsheets.
No more stock loss shocks with Brighpearl. Up to the minute data - easy to see where you are and what needs to be ordered
It is great that we can contact Brightpearl and speak directly with someone who can help us with our issues, it’s the great people and service at Brightpearl that makes them a valuable partner for our business.

Great customer support

Great customer support! My company started to use Brightpearl 2 month ago. As an accounting manager I call more often for support. Special THANK YOU to Dustin Wilbers from support team for the great knowledge in IT and accounting part in Brightpearl. He is very patient and I get answers to my specific questions. Thank you!

We have used bright pearl for almost 7 years. It is such a reliable and easy to use system. We have offices in hong kong and in UK, and it has made everything so seamless. It truly allows you to have you to have everything in one place and lets you run things from anywhere.

Amazing onboarding

We had Anthony Killick onboard with us and we couldn't be any happier with how it went. It isn't always easy trying to implement a new system into myriad APIs, but Anthony's conscientiousness made it a breeze. He always made time for us no matter what time of the day, and could fix most of our problems very quickly.

Brightpearl have a very good system…

Brightpearl have a very good system which combines integration with platforms and an accounting system. We are a fast growing company that needs to work smarter with our stock issues and goods inwards/outwards. Brightpearl have been able to help us with offering a sensible solution to improving our stock levels, accepting stock and processing ordering with their warehouse management system. They have been very helpful with advice and demonstrations.

Initially happy, then gone down hill

Initially, we were happy with BP, then the company changed, we heard they had external investors and it seems they care less about their customers and just about making money now, they have not kept up with development software and there is now other software which is much better than theirs, they are also really aggressive when it comes to renewals, we decide to change to another better systems and so wanted to stop in few months and have fewer users they refused and made us sign up for another year. Shame as this used to be a great company

Our pricing is designed to be flexible, scaling with your business. The more throughput that we manage, we charge for accordingly. Or to put it another way, you pay for what you use. To us this seems fair.

In terms of development of our software, this year alone, we released 27 new features across our platform, extending the capabilities of our e-commerce and marketplace integrations, and adding additional functionality to our automation, warehousing, demand planning, and POS apps to name but a few. On your last point, our customers are, of course, free to find alternative options should our platform no longer meet their needs, however we require that notice of departure happens before renewal takes place. Again, that seems fair to us.
