I’m so very pleased with our new house sign and it looks so neat and stylish, we have put it up already and have had a few compliments too, can’t wait for my daughters to see it, and I think they may get one for their houses too!

Disappointing service but wonderful end product.
I first purchased our sign on the 13th of May, this was not a special commission design but one that they already offered online. I did no actually receive the sign until the 2nd of August. Part of the reason was due to the original sign that was sent on the 28th of June (still a long wait) got lost in transit. So I had to wait another five weeks for a replacement. I do appreciate that all of these are handmade and hand painted and that really does show in the finished result and in the grand scheme it was of course worth the wait. It was just frustrating as I felt I was being messed around. I would buy from them again, however my expectations have come down.

No sign and unable to communicate with Village Green Signs
I ordered a sign on the 7th March. On the 21st March I received an email to say it had been shipped. No tracking process available. To date it has not arrived.
I have tried to email the company, my email bounces back as the email address is full and have tried telephoning on several occasions. After holding on, the call gets disconnected.
Very frustrating as payment was taken on the 8th March and I am unable to communicate with the company.

Not a good experience
Ordering process was a mess from start to finish- we ordered the sitting fox small sign as advertised on their website at £83 wanting a two digit house number and a 7 character road name. They came back to me to say they advised a bigger sign as this size wasn't big enough....(why sell one I ask?) Anyway I upgraded and paid a further £20 ...received a mock up picture and it looked a shambles. Was ready to just pull the plug by this point but was offered a free upgrade to the next size up which I decided to accept. Was advised it would ship by a particular date in nov. ....which came and went with no sign arriving. Chased up, sorry someone off sick and everything delayed, and they can't rush things as it compromises quality. Another commitment was made 're the shipping date....which came and went .... when it did finally arrive about a month late, the finish was very poor, with what seems to be a bristle from a paintbrush stuck in it, and bubbles interrupting what should be a smooth black finish. I sent photos . Was told they agreed this isn't up to usual standard....offered 25% refund or to wait while another was made. With little faith in them by this point I accepted the refund. This was 21st dec and refund could take 10 days. So, when it hadn't arrived by 8th Jan I emailed again...oh sorry clearly refund had not been processed. When it did arrive back on my card next day it was only 25% of the first payment of £83 and while I know it was only another fiver due I was so hacked off with the whole process I emailed again to point out their error, and the remaining £5 was refunded. It could be that we were just unucky, but given the catalogue of errors, and the poor quality product I would definitely not recommend using them.

We completely understand that your experience with us on this occasion does not reflect our usual exemplary service. We were also hugely disappointed to hear that our product was not a satisfactory quality, we always try to put 110% into every order we produce. We cannot apologise enough for all the issues that you experienced with this order.
In regards to the original size of the panel being too small, we are looking to improve our website to help customers like yourself make informed orders. All of our house signs are handmade and due to the nature of this, what our customers may request will not always fit onto the plaque. This, unfortunately, cannot be helped as we need to offer as many options and sizes as possible to our customers.
The original size purchased could have worked with less text or a different layout for example, but unfortunately not for the text and layout that was requested for this particular order.
Agreeing to upgrade to the larger plaque we then realised that this would also be too small to fit all of your requested details and motif. We cannot apologise enough for this error on our part and wished to try and redeem ourselves and offer the next size available at no extra cost to yourself.
Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances over Christmas caused quite a few delays in our studio, which we realise is very upsetting for both our customers and ourselves. Due to the long process, each sign has to go through, delivery dates can slightly vary from initial estimates.
Concerning the overall quality of your sign, once it arrived, we were more than happy to resolve this without any further inconvenience to yourself and issued the refund you previously mentioned. We are truly sorry that the original refund did not take in to account the extra payment made when we upgraded this - however as soon as we were informed of this error, we rectified this straight away.
Again, we cannot apologise enough for the issues with this order, I assure you we would never intentionally inconvenience a customer in this manner. Please accept our deepest apologies, and if there is anything else we can do for you please do let us know and we will be more than happy to help.

I was kept informed of the progress of my sign along the way and when it arrived carefully packaged, it looked lovely. I'm very pleased with it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Village Green Signs. I was also happy with the cost as it was more favourable that other sites I had researched.

Hand Painted House Sign
We ordered the large oval house sign, which was hand painted, it looks stunning, we are so pleased with it. Ordering was easy, delivered when promised. Very pleased. Quite expensive, but realise the work that went into it.

i requested an item advertised on line paid for it only to find it was not available as described in that size . it was a Christmas present so had to compromise. would not have ordered it if i had known. the replacement article was ok but not really what i wanted. i was disappointed it does not have the impact i think the original would had. communication and delivery good.

Hi Jeanette - Sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with your sign, unfortunately as we have so many different motifs for our signs, we can not always fit certain designs on the smaller signs, but we will offer an alternative or a larger sign, normally at a reduced price, or if this does not suit the customer, a full refund can be given. We do state in the ordering area - "If there is a problem setting out your house sign we will contact you with options". We are always trying to improve the ordering service so that only certain sizes of signs, are shown for some larger designs. This is an ongoing process, as we list over 850 separate products, which are all able to be personalised to the customers requirements.

A World Class Company
I recently purchased a beautiful house sign from Village Green Signs and have to say it surpassed my expectations. We needed a new sign for our university college boat club and after inquiring to a few companies I came across this one. The customer service was second to none and they were more than happy to help me design the perfect sign. When it arrived I couldn't believe the quality and detail of the artwork and overall product. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to add a special touch to the front of their house.
