Nothing but sleazy tactics designed to hook in gullible victims.
We only wanted a quote. It was made clear as day from the get go (and several times throughout) we were not looking at buying this year. They were in my house over 2 hours. I'm sat in my work clothes wanting to shower and cook dinner and I'm having to listen to some big sales pitch go on and on forever.
The prices are massively inflated so it looks like you're saving money. You aren't saving any money at all. The first quote they are just being chancers, after that it's about 30% discount. What company drops their quote by that amount ??
Your "discounted" quote also must be accepted there and then because prices may go up. What a load of crap. I've had quotes off other companies for all sorts of work. They give 1 simple price and they honour it for months.
They make out that their competitors or smaller companies only use cheap parts.
I love how they must have both homeowners present - they really do know all the tricks don't they!
After being told "no" they then move onto talking us into having smaller jobs done. Or having the jobs done on finance. At this point I knew the guy was on some sort of commission. Clearly zero respect for our wants and needs.
This 12 month quote you are promised too - they don't write up a formal quote they just scribble it down. Didn't shake my hand when they left either. So unprofessional.
Steer clear of these big flash companies. All they want is your money.

In an age where customer service seems diminished and people are being scammed every day it is such a pleasure to deal with customer focused experts.
From the outset, firstly with the leaflet drop and through sales,survey and finally fitters the process and communication has been perfect. Harry and Gippy….. what a great team! I won't be recommending your company
Have read some other reviews and I can agree wholeheartedly with unhappy customers if you don't get a good fitter with your company. I used a superior company to replace the badly fitted expensive door you fitted. The emergency locksmith I had to call out to shut the door on a Sunday said it was a lovely door but so badly fitted that it was impossible to adjust so it was unusable. I had already had enough having had to call the fitter 3 times because the door was catching then head office so 2 frames later I was left with a door that never shut properly without catching somewhere. You thought it was an acceptable fit, I didn't and it certainly wasn't. You owe me £100 for the locksmith and I will be seeking legal advice to get my money back for the door.

Thank you for taking the 30 minutes this morning to talk through this review and complaint. I am sorry it had come to this and you felt as though you couldn’t inform us that you was having a door issue after the initial refit but I think it is important for us to respond with facts about your issue.
Admittedly there was an issue with the original installation and it wasn’t completed to the usual high standards. After a visit from the company owner, my business partner and the installation manager we decided to refit the door and this was followed up with a call from our customer liaison officer who checked you were satisfied with the work.
You have confirmed to me on the phone that you were in fact happy at this point and it wasn’t until a months afterwards you had another issue this time with the locking mechanism. At this point you never phoned us even though you knew this was covered by your warranty and you have proceeded to get the door changed without even informing us there was any further issues. The last conversation we had with you was a positive one and you were satisfied.
Unfortunately as you have had the door removed and haven’t informed us we could not of possible helped you in this situation. If you would of informed us we would of acted swiftly and effectively to either repair or replace your door free of charge.
I am grateful for the feedback about our door quality. I have taken on board the communication issues you have mentioned and I will endeavour as always to improve and ensure we keep striving for the absolute best for all of our customers.

Quick process and great results

Being an existing customer we have…
Being an existing customer we have today had our garage/kitchen roof completed - yet again an excellent job 👍 although we knew that would be the result, from the appointment with Lisa (sales) and a sale agreed and likewise a start date for the work to be carried out there has been continuous contact keeping us updated.
The work carried out by Joe and Matt the fitters who have done our previous jobs - 2 great guys that get the job done in a tidy manner with attention to detail.

Universal Windows fitters, Harry and Gippy have this afternoon fitted my last two windows. They came in and set about their task quickly and without fuss. They were very polite and completed the task efficiently. They cleared up at the end and showed me all that they had done. Front door replacement
Harry & Gippy did a great job replacing an Old wooden door with a modern looking UPVC door to the specification I wanted. Super competitive price compared to other quotes I had and was all installed within a few weeks of order, was all measured professionally before the order was placed. Would certainly use them again.
