First class from start to finish
The window fitters were excellent, throughout the job. It was a very cold day, nothing stopped them doing a great job. We had our windows and Doors fitted by Universal earlier in the year. I would recommend them to anybody considering having new Windows or Doors.

I’m so glad I chose UTW to replace my old worn windows. Absolutely superb experience from beginning to end. A really good product for a very good price. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Every one I have dealt with from sales, surveyors, fitters (nick and brad) and Julie at the office have have been friendly and professional. Had new external doors earlier in the year and came back to them for replacement roof and glass for conservatory. Fantastic family run business
My husband and I have had two windows and our conservatory roof done more recently. I do not have a bad word to say about anyone or anything about universal trade windows. From the friendly phone calls from Kevin, June, the face to face interaction with Lewis. (Can not remember names of the guys who fitted our windows but they were amazing) and more recently the wonderful Joe and Si.
They worked extremely hard, they cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day and they didn’t complain when the job turned out to be 4 days and not 2. Also well done Joe and Si for putting up with Poppy barking at you all the time from the window.
I have so much love and respect for everyone who works from universal trade windows. Such a wonderful family run business.

I had a terrible experience with Universal Windows. They did a very poor job installing my windows and caused significant damage to my property. As a result, I had to spend extra money on repairs and endure significant inconvenience.While I understand that mistakes can happen, the lack of professionalism and quality in their work was unacceptable. I strongly advise against using Universal Windows for any window installation needs.

I am very disappointed both you and your wife have decided to leave us this negative review. The ‘significant damage’ you are referring to is the plastering work around the windows and the pebbledash rendering externally that we specifically state in our terms and conditions cannot be guaranteed.
To be completely honest as customers you have been very unreasonable with your review, I have seen the pictures of the property before you rented it out (when you advertised it before tenanting) and you can see from those pictures you have only painted over the existing plaster and the plaster is of poor condition.
As a result no matter how careful we are or could of been your plaster was always going to crack due to the quality of it.
My assumption is that instead of re-plastering you painted over it and the picture we have on file confirm this.
It is clear in our terms and conditions 03.a exclusions and limitations: ‘The company cannot guarantee the following: 'To make good specialist finishes such as pebble dashing’ - this is clear on the contract that you signed and you was aware of potential remedial work that would of been necessary after we have installed.
I urge you in the interest of fairness and transparency to remove/review your review to accurately reflect the job we did. I have tried to call you to discuss this however you have declined to accept my call or call me back.
As a family run business reviews are hugely important to us and where we have fallen short of the mark I will always try to improve and develop our teams. In this instance I am satisfied that the installers did the best they could and given the quality of the plastering, inevitably there was going to some cracks when installing. Usually they are minimal but in most cases customer don’t just paint over awful plaster work when renovating.
I am no longer going to try and contact you regarding this but please ring me to discuss further if needed.

Absolutely nightmare to hire Universal…
Absolutely nightmare to hire Universal windows. Would advise anyone to keep away from them. They are not trustworthy at all. The house being rent out to tenants and they promised to take down the sign after the work completed but until today after three weeks, they didn't show up to take down the sign. Also the surrounding area being totally damaged. Will have to hire someone to get the wall repainted. The director argue with me over the phone nearly two hours to emphasise that the damage they had caused is minor. Come on everyone with eyes can see how bad the damage had caused.

Top notch experience
Large bedroom window fitted today - really pleased with the quality of the product and the curtesy and efficiency of the fitter.
