Fantastic Safari Trip
We received the travel proposal from Katia Michaela, which looked very good.
Now we are back home after the trip; all we can say is WOW, what an amazing experience. Everything was of a high standard: the accommodation and food, and the level of service at each camp/Lodge was first class. We booked the Balloon experience with Miracle, and it was fabulous.
We had our last evening meal of the safari at the Foot of Africa Camp, dining under the stars a great way to finish the safari part of the trip.
Our guide and driver, Amus (apologies if I spelt it incorrectly), was the best Safari guide; so knowledgeable and made everything special, and took good care of us.
We had five days in the Legendary Zanzibar Beach Resort to finish off our trip, which was first class and a great way to unwind before travelling home.

Magical Holiday of a lifetime
I had been planning this holiday with Jesca for a year to celebrate my 60th birthday with my daughter and granddaughter, and it exceeded every expectation. Despite the challenges caused by the situation in the Middle East, which led to flight changes and cancellations, Jesca handled everything with professionalism, patience, and reassurance, ensuring our trip ran as smoothly as possible.
When we arrived at Kilimanjaro Airport, we were warmly welcomed by our guide, Abel Shana, who has more than 20 years of experience. From the very beginning, Abel was attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. He was especially wonderful with my granddaughter, keeping her entertained with fascinating facts about the animals and even teaching her a few words of Swahili along the way.
Abel went above and beyond to give us the best safari experience possible. His expertise and determination helped us get remarkably close to the wildlife, and thanks to him we were able to tick every animal off our wish list. He is a tremendous asset to the company, and we are so grateful for everything he did to make our safari truly unforgettable.
I had waited 55 years to experience a hot-air balloon safari, and it was everything I had dreamed of and more. The views were breathtaking, and the whole experience felt magical. It was undoubtedly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and I would highly recommend adding a hot-air balloon safari to any itinerary.
After the safari, we continued on to Zanzibar, where we stayed in a beautiful beachfront villa on the northeast coast. It felt like stepping into the world of Moana—crystal-clear waters, incredible snorkelling, feeding turtles, and even watching dolphins swim alongside our boat. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable holiday.

Just finished our 10 day safari and Zanzibar trip with Tanzania specialist. Everything went perfect! We have a private jeep, I emails lots of companies and Tanzania was able to provide me with the best itinerary and more luxury hotels for a lot less than other companies. Yes they can be sometimes slow to reply but everything genuinely went amazing and I saw soo many other Tanzania specialist jeeps around so it’s obviously a popular company. Of course there are more local operators you can support that have been there for a 20+ years but if it’s your first time and your worried/anxious about who to pick, I genuinely feel like you can’t go wrong with this company. A big shoutout to our guide George M! Thank you for everything!

Our Dream Honeymoon in Tanzania
I was initially hesitant to book with Tanzania Specialist after reading some mixed reviews, but I decided to trust them for our honeymoon, and I’m very glad I did. Our experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish.
First, our guide Roger Solomon was outstanding. We had specifically requested him after seeing a recommendation online, and he exceeded expectations. His English is a bit basic, so if you prefer very detailed explanations this is something to keep in mind, but if you’re easygoing and focused on the experience, he is perfect. He is kind, attentive, and has an incredible ability to spot animals. Thanks to him, we were lucky enough to see the Big Five. Of course, wildlife sightings also depend on weather, timing, season, and luck, not just the guide.
The safari experience itself involves a lot of bumpy driving inside and between parks, with long travel days. A lot can also happen during safari travel, we saw several jeeps with engine issues or flat tires, and we even got stuck in the mud in the Serengeti at around 7pm for over an hour. However, to be honest, we are quite adventurous and we actually enjoyed the experience rather than getting annoyed. Life happens, and it becomes part of the adventure. Despite everything, the landscapes and wildlife sightings made it completely worthwhile, and every destination felt rewarding after the journey.
The logistics were very well organized. From airport pick-ups to transfers between hotels and parks, everything was handled smoothly. Angel helped us arrange excellent accommodations overall—luxurious, comfortable, and with great food throughout the trip.
We split our trip between safari and Zanzibar, which was the perfect honeymoon combination. One of the highlights of our stay was our stay at Zanzibar Sunrise at Bandas, which was an unforgettable place to end the trip, especially for the room with a pool, sea view, live music and atmosphere.
For excursions in general, I recommend checking local companies or platforms like GetYourGuide, as they can sometimes be more affordable than booking through Tanzania Specialist. We used this approach for a couple of beach activities and it worked out great.
One note: if I had to change one thing, I would choose a different hotel instead of The Seyyida Hotel in Zanzibar.
We did have a 6h luggage delay when traveling from mainland Tanzania to Zanzibar, but that was due to the airline and not the company.
Overall, the trip was an incredible experience. Riziki was very responsive throughout and always available to help with any questions. I am already planning to return with my family, and I would 100% recommend Tanzania Specialist and Roger Solomon as a guide.

Safe, secure, stress free, and so much fun!
We felt safe, secure, and attended to during the entire trip. It was stress free from the time we stepped off the airplane in Tanzania until we boarded the return flight to leave. Our safari guide, Hamisi Olomi, was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife, culture, history, and geology of the country. He spoke great English and he taught us so many things. He made sure we had unbelievable encounters with all the animals on our list and more. The vehicle was maintenance well and we had no problems at all with travel, as Hamisi was a great driver and knew the roads in the park like the back of his hand. If you’re considering a trip to Tanzania, you’ve found the best service you can hope for in Tanzania Specialist. The lodges and camps they put us up in were extremely nice and clean, and the staff was fantastic at every stop. The food was always delicious and prepared safely. Hamisi took special care to provide plenty of water and to provide plenty of clean bathroom stops along our route so our minds could stay focused on animal viewing the entire time. Overall, it was a dream trip and it went more smoothly than I could have imagined. If you’re like me and you stress over travel, do yourself a favor and book with Tanzania Specialist to take the stress away.

Great drives and great trip
Great drives and great trip! BUT, the only thing I would do differently is arrange hotels closer to animals so that not as much driving was required. For example, instead of our first night at lake Duluti Lodge, we could have gone directly to Lake Manyara lodge. We would have had less driving to get to crater. Second night we could have gone direct to Melia for three nights and not had to retrace our driving across crater border. Riziki was very helpful and available.

Safari Lifelong Memories
From Killow at the planning stage through to booking , helpful , patient , answered all our questions, provided links to key information about Visa , Health Care and Insurance. Then we met Palanjaro( Eli ) our driver guide - what a wonderful professional ,understanding , thoughtful individual- moreover what a wildlife and location experts. We saw absolutely everything and more , and learned so much about the individual wildlife , behaviours and how to spot them . This safari was the trip of a lifetime, and without this wonderful human we are sure we would have missed out. Additionally he went above and beyond given KLM didn’t transfer our luggage - he stepped to assist on emergency purchases and then 3 days later getting us reunited with our bags.
Tanzania is an amazing country with so many individuals relying on tourism , so for the global companies like KLM to neglect their responsibilities here is a disgrace . We had the most fabulous Safari experience and totally recommend Tanzania Specialist - we also did 6 nights in Zanzibar - a fabulous remote beach location to recharge and reflect on the never to be forgotten days on Safari

We had a fabulous time in Tanzania. A big thank you to Alice for arranging everything for us and making the booking process so easy. Alice was great and kept us up to date with everything that we needed to do and would reply quickly, to any queries that I had.
Our guide for the safari, Frank, was very knowlegable in what birds and animals that we were seeing. He went out of his way to make sure we saw the big 5 and many more. We visited 4 national parks, the Serengeti being one of them, which we stayed in over night. It was great to be staying in your tent in the Serengeti and hearing all the noises from the animals. I will be recommending Frank to all my friends, family and colleagues, as he helped to make our holiday the success that it was, thanks Frank.
The accommodation throughout our holiday were all fantastic, with friendly staff that couldn't do enough for you and all were very clean and supplied great food.
We had 4 nights at Zanzibar and again the Legendary Zanzibar Beach resort was fantastic and meant that we could relax in beautiful surroundings to end our Tanzanian journey.

The team at Tanzania Specialist was very professional and responsive. Arrangements made with other companies, such as transfers, was flawless. My only suggestion to others and to the company is to strategize on how to reduce very long drives on really bad roads, to get between lodge properties.

Incredible experience
The whole experience was amazing! We did a 7 night safari with guide Mwita. Communication when planning the trip was easy and clear. We were picked up at the airport and stopped as needed on the way to our first stay; they very much let you decide what you would like to do. The jeep was comfortable and so nice to have to ourselves as we could choose how long we wanted to stay and see everything. For parks we did the Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro crater and thoroughly enjoyed each. The scenery is beautiful and is so different in all locations and we seen such a variety of animals - including the big 5.
The accommodations booked were excellent and staff all along the way were out standing! Mwita is very knowledgeable and an excellent guide. He taught us a lot about the animals we seen and landscapes/areas. He also taught us a handful of Swahili which we continued to use along our travels which we really enjoyed.
