Un safari inoubliable en Tanzanie
Un immense merci à toute l'équipe de Tanzania Specialist, et tout particulièrement à notre formidable guide et chauffeur francophone, Elisha R., qui nous a fait vivre une semaine inoubliable à la découverte du circuit nord de la Tanzanie !
Tout était parfaitement organisé dès le premier jour. La logistique était irréprochable, les hébergements étaient excellents et tous les repas étaient délicieux. Même les paniers-repas ont dépassé nos attentes. Le safari en lui-même était tout simplement incroyable. Nous avons eu la chance d'observer tous les animaux que nous espérions voir, y compris un léopard, même si nous n'avons malheureusement pas réussi à le photographier. Ce sera pour la prochaine fois, j'en suis sûr !
L'un des moments les plus mémorables a été de déjeuner dans notre véhicule tout en admirant la Grande Migration dans le Serengeti. Un instant tout simplement magique. Merci pour ces merveilleux souvenirs. Nous recommanderons Tanzania Specialist à nos proches sans la moindre hésitation !

Our safari experience with Tanzania Specialists far, far exceeded our highest expectations. Our guide couldn’t have been more knowledgeable about the animals and the areas to best observe them. We also were treated to long discussions about Tanzanian/Maasai culture. He was beyond interesting. Food along the entire trip (at camp and/or hotels) was absolutely delicious while lodging was clean and comfortable. No detail in our itinerary was left unclear or unmet. This company runs as efficiently as a Swiss train. I highly/wholly recommend them and thank them deeply for an experience of a lifetime.

Our safari driver Jordan Beene was top notch. His English was excellent & he was very knowledgeable about the area & wildlife.
Tanzania Specialists provided a very nice Land Rover with a fridge that they kept stocked with bottled water. The roof popped up so we could stand on the seats to view the animals & take photos when we wanted to.
The accommodations at Asanja, Manyara Best View Lodge & Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge were all exceptional & provided very nice breakfasts & dinners. Suenos de Africa was a nice tented accommodation but the meals were sparse.

Everything started with a great planning. I got in contact with Tanzania Specialist and told them where I would like to go, how much I was willing to spend and how long I had to do the trip. They put together, in a very short period of time, a perfect plan, including the places to stay. Once the trip started, nothing failed from the beginning to the end, we had their support at all times, the guides where amazing and very knowledgeable, and the places we stayed at were fabulous.

Amazing experience with Tanzania Specialist!
Amazing experience with Tanzania Specialist! We went luxury style and everything was amazing, lodging, food, game drives, and of course the best tour guide ever - Jordan! We went to 4 different parks, 3 days in the Serengeti, 2 Ngonongoro Crater, Arusha National park, and Tarangire National park! Jordan was so informative and was amazing at spotting the animals! Highly recommend Tanzania Specialist, and ask for Jordan!

10/10 honeymoon experience made even better by Tanzania Specialists!
For our honeymoon we decided to do a safari of the Northern Circuit in Tanzania, and wow did we make a good decision... not only choosing to do a safari in Tanzania, but also picking Tanzania Specialists ("TS") as our safari tour company.
Firstly, a note about organising and booking the trip. After much researching and looking at reviews of other safari companies, I felt that TS provided some brilliant packages at a reasonable value.
I liaised with Alice, who was extremely helpful in providing the booking steps over email, WhatsApp and the phone. She provided a clear list of accommodation, transport arrangements and additional experiences (I would very much recommend doing a sunrise balloon experience in the Serengeti).
Secondly, we were put in contact with Riziki, the customer relationship manager, who was incredibly helpful in providing additional information once we were on the ground in Tanzania, especially when our bags were lost not once, but twice by local airlines (Precision Air and Flight Link) when transiting between Arusha, Kilimanjaro, the Serengeti and Zanzibar.
Finally, our guide, Muridy. I don't have enough words to describe how grateful we were to have Muridy as our guide for Safari the national parks. With over 20 years experience as a safari guide, he was the perfect teacher, guide and friend for the 5 days that we were with him. His depth of knowledge of the local fauna and flora were incredible and his relaxed attitude and humility were just fantastic - he was always calm and happy to accommodate what we were keen to see as we drove around the parks in 4x4 Land Cruiser.
A little about the safari itself. In short, you cover a lot of distance on some bumpy roads. However, it is so worth it to see the volume of animals and vistas that we did. Just make sure you bring a bandana/buff to cover your mouth from the dust and a good camera/pair of binoculars.
There was always a delicious packed lunch and plenty of water at hand in the truck.
The accommodation was mixed but always comfortable too ranging from tented accommodation to lodges situated in between the national parks.
Finally, the animals - we were very lucky to see the big 5 plus so many more cats, reptiles, birds, hippos, giraffes, etc. The ever changing dramatic landscape meant you never knew where to look!
Overall, I couldn't recommend this trip or Tanzania Specialists enough!

Overall wonderful experience. We didn’t have to worry or plan anything it was all done for us. The guides were amazing!! Loved the safaris. Only a couple of hiccups with our extra excursions, we had to remind them otherwise we would have missed them.

Holiday of a lifetime
Hi there team
Tanzania Safari Specialists have been an excellent company to deal with from beginning to end. Initially we dealt with Rogers Patel who took our booking inquiry and supplied us with ample links to videos and general information about Tanzania so that we could make the decision go with this company.. Rogers also supported our fragile mindset through the uncertainty of the unwise American attack on Iran. He supplied us with information, reassurance and flight options that would avoid the Middle East and ultimately ensured that we went ahead with the holiday of a lifetime with peace of mind. We made several adjustments to our holiday and he took them in his stride.
Our decision to visit Tanzania in the shoulder months between low and high season had benefits and drawbacks in that at times we were either the only guests in some accommodations or one of a few guests. We certainly got excellent service from some of the happiest and friendliest people we have ever met on vacations anywhere in the world. The benefits of this side were we enjoyed Tanzania and its wildlife in a less frantic environment than high season would be.
Our guide was David Rowland Massawe and he met us at Kilimanjaro Airport and throughout our pre-Safari and Safari elements of our trip was a model of friendly, helpful, supportive and informative positivity. My wife and I could not have asked for a better person to become our friend, our co-conspirator and wildlife spotter. In short, by the time we got to the Ngorongoro crater, we not only had spotted and photographed the big five, but we had four of the little five having seen their babies – all except for leopard. There were camps when my wife and I were alone and David ensured that we felt we were among friends at all times. At our first An’gata camp while the food was good we felt the portion size and type of food we were eating was on the budget side when compared to the prices we were paying. (We have to admit that we did not include this comment in our review form because the young staff at the camp tried their very best without a manager to lead them in sight). David however ensured that this was not a problem for any other camp. He always ensured that we got the best on offer.
David’s game spotting was beyond belief at times and we both felt that we missed out on very few opportunities to see wildlife, both animals and birds. He made plans each day towards the end of the safari and along with the guides network online and on the radio ensured that all of our wildlife expectations were met.
David’s driving skills were excellent as most of the roads and all of the game trails were very bumpy and tried at all times to minimise the effects for the folks in the back!!
I would not hesitate to recommend David to friends and would ask for him if we return in the future. When we parted company on our way to Zanzibar, we missed his constant presence at our side.
The Zanzibar part of the trip was handled by Destination Services and they provided a transfer to Marafiki Beach Hotel which we believe was the perfect resort to spend a week of relaxation after the 12 days of early mornings, bumpy game trails and high excitement. It has a beautiful beach, 2 swimming pools, a spa, awesomely friendly staff, delicious food (huge portions) and the sound of waves to fall asleep to at night. Once again because of the season it was a little quiet, but we didn’t mind as we were there to chill out. If you come on a trip and are heading to Zanzibar, ask for this hotel, you won’t regret it. We had a trip to Stonetown and a half day snorkelling and other than that we were cocooned in peace and tranquility.
Tanzania Safari Specialists never let us down and we would highly recommend them to organise your trip for you with David Massawe as your guide and Marafiki Hotel as your Zanzibar option.

You start out thinking planning this would be daunting. Rogers reached and worked to ensure our vacation was perfect for us. Dotto was by far the best guide out there. Great guides (Waziri and Ibrahim), great porters and great chef made the experience. Their knowledge and experience as well as their great attitude helped make this once in a lifetime experience truly exceptional.
The booking process was a bit more difficult than it needed to be. This was due primarily to less than optimal communication and responsiveness from the booking team. We had multiple changes to our reservation (our fault), but this seemed to throw the booking team off their game and their follow-up just wasn’t what it should have been. Despite this, it all worked out and the overall experience was really exceptional.

Fantastic Safari Trip
We received the travel proposal from Katia Michaela, which looked very good.
Now we are back home after the trip; all we can say is WOW, what an amazing experience. Everything was of a high standard: the accommodation and food, and the level of service at each camp/Lodge was first class. We booked the Balloon experience with Miracle, and it was fabulous.
We had our last evening meal of the safari at the Foot of Africa Camp, dining under the stars a great way to finish the safari part of the trip.
Our guide and driver, Amus (apologies if I spelt it incorrectly), was the best Safari guide; so knowledgeable and made everything special, and took good care of us.
We had five days in the Legendary Zanzibar Beach Resort to finish off our trip, which was first class and a great way to unwind before travelling home.

Magical Holiday of a lifetime
I had been planning this holiday with Jesca for a year to celebrate my 60th birthday with my daughter and granddaughter, and it exceeded every expectation. Despite the challenges caused by the situation in the Middle East, which led to flight changes and cancellations, Jesca handled everything with professionalism, patience, and reassurance, ensuring our trip ran as smoothly as possible.
When we arrived at Kilimanjaro Airport, we were warmly welcomed by our guide, Abel Shana, who has more than 20 years of experience. From the very beginning, Abel was attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. He was especially wonderful with my granddaughter, keeping her entertained with fascinating facts about the animals and even teaching her a few words of Swahili along the way.
Abel went above and beyond to give us the best safari experience possible. His expertise and determination helped us get remarkably close to the wildlife, and thanks to him we were able to tick every animal off our wish list. He is a tremendous asset to the company, and we are so grateful for everything he did to make our safari truly unforgettable.
I had waited 55 years to experience a hot-air balloon safari, and it was everything I had dreamed of and more. The views were breathtaking, and the whole experience felt magical. It was undoubtedly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and I would highly recommend adding a hot-air balloon safari to any itinerary.
After the safari, we continued on to Zanzibar, where we stayed in a beautiful beachfront villa on the northeast coast. It felt like stepping into the world of Moana—crystal-clear waters, incredible snorkelling, feeding turtles, and even watching dolphins swim alongside our boat. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable holiday.

Just finished our 10 day safari and…
Just finished our 10 day safari and Zanzibar trip with Tanzania specialist. Everything went perfect! We have a private jeep, I emails lots of companies and Tanzania was able to provide me with the best itinerary and more luxury hotels for a lot less than other companies. Yes they can be sometimes slow to reply but everything genuinely went amazing and I saw soo many other Tanzania specialist jeeps around so it’s obviously a popular company. Of course there are more local operators you can support that have been there for a 20+ years but if it’s your first time and your worried/anxious about who to pick, I genuinely feel like you can’t go wrong with this company. A big shoutout to our guide George M! Thank you for everything!

Our Dream Honeymoon in Tanzania
I was initially hesitant to book with Tanzania Specialist after reading some mixed reviews, but I decided to trust them for our honeymoon, and I’m very glad I did. Our experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish.
First, our guide Roger Solomon was outstanding. We had specifically requested him after seeing a recommendation online, and he exceeded expectations. His English is a bit basic, so if you prefer very detailed explanations this is something to keep in mind, but if you’re easygoing and focused on the experience, he is perfect. He is kind, attentive, and has an incredible ability to spot animals. Thanks to him, we were lucky enough to see the Big Five. Of course, wildlife sightings also depend on weather, timing, season, and luck, not just the guide.
The safari experience itself involves a lot of bumpy driving inside and between parks, with long travel days. A lot can also happen during safari travel, we saw several jeeps with engine issues or flat tires, and we even got stuck in the mud in the Serengeti at around 7pm for over an hour. However, to be honest, we are quite adventurous and we actually enjoyed the experience rather than getting annoyed. Life happens, and it becomes part of the adventure. Despite everything, the landscapes and wildlife sightings made it completely worthwhile, and every destination felt rewarding after the journey.
The logistics were very well organized. From airport pick-ups to transfers between hotels and parks, everything was handled smoothly. Angel helped us arrange excellent accommodations overall—luxurious, comfortable, and with great food throughout the trip.
We split our trip between safari and Zanzibar, which was the perfect honeymoon combination. One of the highlights of our stay was our stay at Zanzibar Sunrise at Bandas, which was an unforgettable place to end the trip, especially for the room with a pool, sea view, live music and atmosphere.
For excursions in general, I recommend checking local companies or platforms like GetYourGuide, as they can sometimes be more affordable than booking through Tanzania Specialist. We used this approach for a couple of beach activities and it worked out great.
One note: if I had to change one thing, I would choose a different hotel instead of The Seyyida Hotel in Zanzibar.
We did have a 6h luggage delay when traveling from mainland Tanzania to Zanzibar, but that was due to the airline and not the company.
Overall, the trip was an incredible experience. Riziki was very responsive throughout and always available to help with any questions. I am already planning to return with my family, and I would 100% recommend Tanzania Specialist and Roger Solomon as a guide.
