So I sent reply to FEEDBACK Steven eagell.co.uk that they asked for. AMAZING NO REPLY AFTER 3 DAYS was this a waste of time ???? And a Toyota dealer near me said if I still had my px they would still pay me £250 MORE than Steven eagell St Alban's !!

My experience with the Steven Eagell…

My experience with the Steven Eagell Group Birmingham branch was extremely disappointing and far below what I would expect from a dealership of this size.

I purchased a three-year-old Vauxhall Grandland with just 6,200 miles on the clock. Within five days of purchase, the car broke down and became unreliable. It was returned to Steven Eagell for repair and kept for nine days, after which I was told it had been fixed. However, as soon as the vehicle was returned, it broke down again with the same issue.

I was later advised to take the car to a local Vauxhall main dealer and was told that diagnostics would be covered. Despite providing receipts and evidence, the cost of these diagnostics was not refunded.

During inspection, a high-pressure fuel line was found to have been secured using cable ties, raising serious concerns about the vehicle’s condition prior to sale. Despite independent evidence, the dealership denied any fault and refused to accept my statutory right to reject the vehicle.

Communication was poor throughout and the handling by the branch manager was extremely unprofessional. The process was repeatedly dragged out, leaving me with an unusable car sitting on my drive for almost four months.

What should have been a straightforward resolution became a stressful and unnecessary ordeal. I would strongly advise anyone buying from this branch to document everything carefully and be fully aware of their consumer rights.

Steven Eagell Worcester and Horsham

Bought my Landcruiser from Steven Eagell in Worcester in May 2025. There was some paintwork that needed attention and it was agreed that the work be carried out on the morning of pick up. Unfortunately the paint guy had a family issue and could not make it in that day so it was agreed that my local branch Steven Eagell Horsham would take the vehicle in and complete the work so that I could still collect the vehicle the same day. There was another issue with an incorrectly filled in DVLA registration document and to be fair Eagell’s Worcester reimbursed me the cost of having to get DVLA to re-issue the registration correctly (£25). Steven Eagell Horsham did an excellent paint job and loaned us a complimentary vehicle whilst the work was done. The advantage of dealing with Steven Eagell is that with their multiple centres it made for an easier purchase with subsequent remedial work than had it been a sole dealer. Hats of to Saif and his team in Worcester and to the Eagell’s Horsham for having done a great paint job

I have had several cars from Toyota Steven Eagell Ipswich and I cannot fault the experience I have had, my latest Chr Phev has just been serviced and from the moment the hostess greeted me, to collecting my car it was a first class experience, thoroughly recommend this dealership.

Extended Warranty not worth the paper its written on

I've always had my car serviced at Steven Eagell since new for the last 8 years. The last 3 years Ive had a few component failures (Brake calipers, washers, suspension etc). Each time I have been refused cover under my extended warranty. Always wave the 'WEAR AND TEAR' clause at me. There is no point having the extended warranty with Toyota or Steven Eagell, its just a con

Steven Eagle Worcester present…

Steven Eagle Worcester present themselves as a high end dealership, very friendly at times, but scratch the service and you see shoddy and unprofessional service. They are out to make money and I have experienced pushy sales calls wanting me to test drive a new car which I have no interest in, and pressurising me to have work done on my car which was not urgent . All at inconvenient times.

Also when I brought my car in for a service, the chap booking in my car would not accept that on previous services I had had my air con serviced with out this ridiculous decontamination which costs £199.00. Money i don't want you spend and was disrespectful about the sales team who were pushing the service saying they didn't know what they were talking about.

I left my car with them but when I wanted to call to make an enquiry regarding some information I had been sent no one answered the phone. It rang over 100 times on the two occasions I tried to get through. Third attempt the phone did get answered and my queries dealt with but it was frustrating.

All in all my experience was not too bad but I will be having my air con serviced else where.

The lady on the front of house was lovely. No complaints about her at all

Poor customer service

I had a problem with my Toyota Prius. The tyre pressure indicator constantly on as a hazard So I had to bring it to the garage. I reached the garage about 8:00am First I was asked if I had re set the tyre pressure gauge on the car. I was not aware I had to do that neither did the handbook advise us to do that.
Anyway despite the dealer resetting it the indicator was still on so I left the car to be checked
Rang the garage at around 15:04 and 15:08 and finally got to speak to the service team and reminded them I was waiting for my car.
I was told that they prioritise the jobs and do the MOT and service first !!!! So I said will my car be done last? I was told they will ring me when the car was ready for pickup.
I rang them 5 times from 16:00 hrs with no response. Finally I rang sales and was told that the car went to the work shop at 2:00pm and was still in the workshop.
We are about 10 miles from the garage and to avoid peak traffic travel left for the garage.
Still sitting outside in the car park at 5:00 pm with the car not in sight.
One of the garage management apologised and said they will look into the matter and that I should not have been spoken to in the way I was. The garage closes in an hour so still have hope to get my car fixed today. Not a good experience at all.

My car is fine but the service by the…

My car is fine but the service by the sallee team is poor. I did not receive a full sales invioce and I have since requested this and despite nice feedback saying it would be sent till not delivered. I paid for a fitted spare wheel and when this was fitted I was told that I needed a new tyre I raised this wheel I bought the car two weeks earlier and was told by the sales all the tyres were good.
The service team said that they would discuss this. No action
There is not a good feeling about the Ipswich dealership. Each team member makes a request for a 10 feedback which foolishly I gave.

Do not buy a vehicle from Steven Eagell Northampton was sold a vehicle in excellent condition and far from it reversing sensors don’t work wheels needed refurbished and many other faults and they don’t care extremely poor customer service and Rubbish cars STAY AWAY

AVOID!!!

Warning lights came up on my dashboard. Called the RAC out. Was told by them to get a battery replacement and it would resolve the issue. Took it in to Steven Eagell in Radlett and the warning lights still kept coming even after I got it back despite paying over £500.

They then started saying it's got a leak, it needs loads of rewiring etc. It will cost thousands and you should get a new car. They even recommended to replace my number plate even though there was nothing wrong with it! The issues they claim to have found and came up with kept snowballing!

I then took it to my local garage for an £84 diagnostic test and then they did the full repairs for a fraction of the cost.

AVOID STEVEN EAGELL!!!!!!!

Be advised bought my Corolla off Steven eagle Stourbridge. I was told it has full dealer service history. Bought the car year later sold to we buy any car and was told it didn’t have service history. Went to the dealership and they couldn’t give me a reason. Really poor customer service lie through there back teeth to sell the car. Such a shame as I always thought Toyota was a reputable., not anymore.

I will definitely part exchange my vehicle when im due for an upgrade at the same dealership. My car is fantastic. had the same vehicle before. cannot fault a Toyota. thank you.

Beware of Steven Eagell Toyota Solihull Misleading and Unethical Sales Tactics!

I want to warn everyone about my bad experience with this dealership. Their main priority seems to be making a sale at any cost just to earn their commission. Be extremely careful when dealing with them and make sure to read every document thoroughly before signing anything.

They may present paperwork as a “standard agreement,” but in reality, it could contain hidden clauses, guarantor agreements, or other legal commitments that they won’t fully explain. If you ask for clarification, they may dismiss your concerns, saying it’s just a formality. However, once you sign, you could unknowingly be held responsible for serious financial or legal obligations.

At first, their staff may appear friendly and respectful, but in reality, they are misleading and untrustworthy. I strongly advise avoiding this dealership to protect yourself from potential scams.

I will also be sharing my experience on social media and other platforms so more people can be aware of their deceptive practices.

Ian collected and dropped off my car…

Ian collected and dropped off my car for its annual service. He was extremely courteous and had excellent communication calling me in the morning to arrange a time and letting me know when he would be dropping off allowing to to avoid having to take any time off work, highly recommend.

Cambridge branch have become cowboys

Cambridge branch have become cowboys. Many calls and weeks later and still waiting. I drove to the showroom several times but “the managers are on leave” and no one else can help.

Sadly all complaints to Milton Keynes head office also ignored

I wouldn’t recommend purchasing a Toyota. They behave like fly by night criminals. Warranty is not honoured.

Honestly the worst communicators I’ve ever dealt with.

Purchased a second hand car with them in July and agreed to collect from one of their garages closer to me. During negotiations it was agreed a parcel shelf would be included as the car didn’t have one (this will become relevant later).

On the day of collection they called (as I was about to leave) to advise the check engine light was on so they’d need to delay collection. It sounded like they waited until the day of delivery to turn the car on which suggests no preparation took place despite collection being agreed over a week prior. Having arranged childcare I suggested I collect the car and arrange for a local garage to check it over and complete the works (I’m not local to even the nearest of their garages), they declined and say they would deal with it and arrange a new date. It took over two weeks for this to happen and from what I can establish they simply cleared the fault and hoped for the best. It took over a week for a technician to “be available to test drive to make sure the light doesn’t come back on again”. After a complaint they agreed to deliver the car to my home and take away my part exchange, which was really appreciated.

On day of delivery it came to light there was a miscommunication with the spec and the car didn’t have Apple CarPlay plus the parcel shelf was still missing from the car. After much back and forth the dealer agreed to give me the money to get this added, which was appreciated however it took weeks for the money to land in my account despite multiple emails chasing and promises from the dealer it had been sent. Just a week after delivery of the car, the engine management light came back on and the garage refused to deal with it, costing me over £300 to resolve.

The simple parcel shelf issue has taken 6 months to resolve (in fact it’s still ongoing). After 5 and a half months of chasing and complaining a parcel shelf finally arrived, and shock, it wasn’t actually compatible with my car. After a further complaint it was agreed I could buy a parcel shelf and they would give me the money (this was confirmed in writing at my request given the previous issues). Three weeks after sending proof of my purchase and details for a bank transfer I’m still waiting for the money and for them to say what they want me to do with the parcel shelf that doesn’t fit.

Not once have I had a formal response to my complaint despite their complaints policy saying I will and frankly they’ve been obstructive and terrible the whole way through.

If you happen upon a perfect car with no problems, you’ll probably be fine. If you need any support or issues resolved - GOOD LUCK!
