terrible experience

terrible experience. I followed their step by step guide for meta capi, and it broke my pixel, and my ads were negatively affect because of it. Do not use it if you have ads running, the meta capi is not a plug and play like they say it is, it will turn off your pixel and hurt your ads

Stape provides an easy plug-and-play solution for the Meta CAPI Gateway, and many of our clients have had positive experiences.

Based on our review of your setup, we found that your Meta Pixel was not properly implemented on your site, which is why the server-side tracking wasn't able to send events to Meta. We also communicated this issue to you.

Meta CAPI Gateway works in conjunction with your Pixel, sending additional server-side events based on the data your Pixel collects. Since your Pixel wasn’t firing, the CAPI Gateway had no data to process, which led to the issue you described.

We recommend reviewing your pixel implementation and ensuring it’s properly set up. If needed, our Stape Care team can assist with a detailed audit of your current setup.

Threatened to close my account after Stape made a billing error

I had my billing set to upgrade my account if I exceeded my monthly limit - this didn't happen (Stape admitted it was a billing mistake on their end) and my container continued running.

Despite admitting it was their mistake, Stape then threatened to close my account if I didn't upgrade my plan for the next month (which was well under the usage limit of the plan I was on at the time).

Support Doesn't Follow Instructions

I asked to remove Stape Care twice and they ignored me. Then followed up again and they canceled my subscription instead of cancelling the add-on. Support needs to do better. Communication and follow-through is not up to par. The actual service provided (sGTM) is good though.

Follow-up: Support did end up making it right after multiple attempts and I believe they have learned the lesson required here. I look forward to growing with Stape into the future - it really does make SS Google Tag Manager and a number of other things turn-key.

Stape & Konstiantyn are doing a great job

Stape and especially Konstiantyn are working relentlessly and very patiently to fix all tracking issues. I decided to switch to Stape SST ~ 2 months ago. From the initial call, to setup and implementation and final testing, everything was done professionally. I would recommend their services.

THREE days setting up their connections…

THREE days setting up their connections with Meta. Both Facebook/Meta and Stape complicate things way too much. In the AI era, it is unacceptable to have products that have so many steps with guides with many steps. We are not into this anymore. Please create a simple product with real automations that real people can use. We don't need to be geniuses to connect your products. Again, we are in the AI era, step up with simpler things.

Their customer support is totally…

Their customer support is totally useless and has a poor understanding of technical issues. I was facing payment issues and tried multiple credit cards / PayPal, and every time, their payment gateway failed. The customer support kept insisting on contacting the bank or PayPal support when clearly the issue was at their end. Eventually, I had to discontinue the service.

Misleading promises, zero support, product doesn’t work

I signed up with Stape after being sold on their ability to fix my Facebook Pixel / Meta CAPI Gateway tracking issues. On the sales and onboarding call, this was the only topic discussed - and they assured me their product would handle it.

Reality was very different:

No setup help: Despite promising support, I was left to figure everything out on my own.

Product didn’t work: Tracking never functioned as advertised, even though that was the core reason I signed up.

Support brushed me off: When I reached out, I was told to “go talk to Meta support” because “tracking for the Facebook Pixel is not their job.” This is exactly what they sold me on (solution and suport) but once they had my money, the story changed.

Admission without resolution: Eventually they conceded the product didn’t work and claimed their developers would look into it. Two months later, I’ve had zero updates and the issue remains unresolved.

If you’re considering Stape to fix Facebook/Meta tracking problems - stay away. They overpromise, underdeliver, and provide no accountability once you’ve paid.

Stape bug - charged to our client

We tried to use Meta CAPIG. There is a bug on Stape.io side within our client account. Support confirmed the bug and put it in priority to developers for imidiate fix. Few days later I asked what is the status on the fix and support suggested not to wait and to move whole setup to another Meta CAPIG. I asked for instructions about that migration and support asked about additional clarification on this migration like they just heared it out of nowhere - let me remind you they suggested it 2 emails down the line.
After exchanging several more emails they made the migration for us, but they completely forgot to move it within annual subscription plan. So now they are probably expecting us to pay for another annual subscription and just forget about existing one which is only few weeks active. Im not sure how to proceed. Very unprofessional and dismissive behavior.

Regarding the annual subscription, we have thoroughly reviewed the tickets, and at no point did our team suggest or request that you pay for an additional annual subscription. Our team offered you two options: (1) to connect your Pixel to the existing paid Meta CAPI Gateway, and remove the one without an active subscription, or (2) to receive a full refund and connect to a new Meta CAPI Gateway.

There was never any intention or even a hint to ask you to pay for two subscriptions.
