Trying to get through to a real…
Trying to get through to a real ''live'' person was truly a nightmare...it literally took me a couple of days and on occasion the reception was so poor that I gave up trying to make out what the recorded voice was saying and had to go back to square one.
That said, when I did get to speak to a ''live'' person what a transformation ! The people I spoke to were so patient, sympathetic and helpful it was incredible how different the experience was. They really did pull all the stops out to resolve my problems.One of the ladies even filled out a form for me over the phone to facilitate an installation I needed and she sent off the form herself...what an angel !! I can't thank these people enough for sorting everything out for me .In particular I thank Eniola, Fergal and Pamela who spared me a lot of grief.All the ''stuff'' that was weighing me down has now been dealt with. An SSE doorstep agent convinced me to switch by promising €120 in Tesco vouchers to make up for my old supplier's exit fee. I trusted her word, but when I called customer service, they hadn't a clue. It turns out it is just the standard small voucher exchange scheme, not an easy fix for exit fees. It is deeply unfair to mislead older customers at their doors. Be very careful if they knock.

Great Customer Service
Had a query about my estimated meter reading and it was resolved quickly and completely by Eniola on the Digital Services Team. I used the WhatsApp service for the first time, very happy with it and it meant I could be doing other things and not having to be on hold for ages.
