Your engineer - Jamie - was efficient, polite and worked cleanly solving a number of less than easy problems. First class experience.

I would definitely use this company again, the chap that came out to sort the leak was, clean, friendly and kept us informed about everything he was doing. He found and sorted the leak, which was from the waste outlet, which only required tightening. The only unavoidable damage to the ceiling (which already has water damage from the leak) being a small hole he drilled to use his camera.

Our engineer was very thorough and efficient and very understanding. It did take some while to find the pin hole sized leak but he noted all of the damage that had occurred as a result of the leak and cleaned the room up after removing the ceiling boards and plasterwork.

Very professional meticulous approach to find out where the problem was. They found the leak in my ceiling so the leak could be fixed by the plumber and I would recommend this company to locate any leak!

This visit was arranged by my insurers. The appointment was within 48 hours, the tradesman arrived promptly and was exceptionally helpful. He traced the leak very quickly, advised on how to remediate and cleaned up after himself. I only wish that SOS also did plumbing work as he could have fixed the leak very quickly and I would have been happy to pay for this. But I understand he could not do that.

Excellent service all-round, from the promptness of answering the first call, swiftly getting an engineer here within 24 hours and finding the source of the leak that wasn’t an easy one to detect.

This company definitely deserves a 5 star review. The company was instructed by my insurer. The gentleman who came was first rate. Called to say what time he was arriving, detected the leak, repaired the leak and even went out to get materials so he could finish the job straight away. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Toby Warmington was great in explaining what he was going to do and updating me at every stage. Toby was quick, friendly and found the leak. Luckily Toby was able to fix the issue on-site. Toby did the job without any fuss and tidied up. Brilliant down to earth service - give the lad a pay rise!!! 10/10

The engineer who came to my property is an expert in his field. He knew exactly what to look for regarding the issue with the cause of the leak from my shower.
After his report was submitted, I could then continue with my insurance claim with no issues whatsoever.

I’m 82 years old and hard of hearing. I was lucky enough to get Gary and SOS are lucky to have someone like him working for them. He was so kind, patient and helpful explaining everything he did to me and why. If only all trades people were like him. He even explained to the insurance people for me what was wrong and what he was doing. He went way beyond his job description. A big thank you to him and to SOS for sending him to me.

Engineer arrived on time very polite and when i showed him where the problem was he set about investigating it He discovered that it was not where we thought it was in the downstairs hallway but in the upstairs bathroom. He located the leaking pipe and effected a repair.

Aaron was really helpful and being as quick as possible, located a pipe leak in concrete between our kitchen and hallway. He used infra red and sound detection equipment and did a great job repairing the pipe. Thanks again

Stay away – they destroy ceilings, overcharge, and don’t fix the problem. Leave after an Hour!

I called them for a leak detection service because previous plumbers couldn’t find the issue. They promised they’d locate it with specialist equipment and fix if within 8hour window

Instead:
• First engineer refused to start without an asbestos test (extra £160), which I was never told about in advance.

• Test came back clear, but then the second engineer arrived to cut a huge 1x2m hole in my ceiling, pointed at a bent pipe (which later plumbers told me was a j bend and normal), and refused to fix it.

• He left after just 45 minutes even though i had him for the full day ( no attempt to fix and ran off). I was charged over £1100 to break a ceiling.

second engineer even turned up in a rented van.

When I complained, they brushed it off, claimed it was a “big job,” and made excuses about shower tray seals and a bent pipe.

Didnt attempt to fix the pipe or reseal the shower tray. Even left the side plastic covering off the shower tray!

If they had said it was the pipe, than fixed that pipe which was easily accessible and then test shower, i would have been satisfied. He ran off after breaking my ceiling and just assuming its a the waste pipe with no fix or test of his assumption.

Your engineer didnt attempt any fix what so ever!!!

He still had the rest of the day, a professional could have taken the shower tray off and replaced parts and sealed again within 3 hours.

You ran off only spending an hour on site. Absolute fraud. If it was on an hourly basis that shouldn't have cost more than £250 for the time he was onsite.

Really helpful visit from Chris Winter to track down leak issues. He was kind, professional and did a very thorough and non-invasive job of tracking down issues. Very pleased to have had him visit and delighted that our insurance company contracted to SOS Leak Detection for this service.

Dean was very helpful and a conscious worker. He found the source of the leak and with a minimum amount of disruption repaired the leaking pipe and left the area neat and tidy.
He also took the time to thoroughly check other areas that may have contributed to the problem.
We were very impressed with his skills and friendly manner

SOS Leak Detection were engaged by my Home Insurance company and they contacted me quickly to arrange a date for a visit. They subsequently contacted me twice more to bring the date for the visit forward. When the technician called he quickly located the leak and explained to me what needed to be done. I have heard that the insurance company has received the report from the technician, so SOS LD have been very efficient, but I can't comment on value for money as I am not paying their bill.
