Excellent timely service - very efficient person & clean work

The company detected the leak fairly quickly and stated that they could also repair for an additional cost. They replaced two pieces of copper pipe but unfortunately this was not adequately soldered and started leaking about an hour after they left. When contacting the company, we were told that they would not be able to re-attend for about a week. As the leak was now worse than before, we had to source an emergency plumber to correct the problem.
We are still waiting for a refund for the repair work.

SOS instructed by Insurance company following a suspected below ground leak. Failed to make contact as planned and reminder needed but efficiently found leak and restored pressure. What let them down was the fact my boiler no longer works (it did prior to their 2 visits) and they refuse to return my calls or do anything to help me restore heat and hot water to my home. Now without both for 14 days. I am awaiting my own heating engineer at my own cost to repair their fault. They will say their the technicians are not heating engineers or have oil tickets - then why would you mess with an oil boiler!! Just reading SOS reply - reached out??? That was an email to the ins company not me saying they repaired the leak. Very defensive and no offer to repair boiler! Stay away!!! UPDATE no heating or hot water for 28 Days. Local
Engineer found fault. Air-locked plus Valves within system turned that should have remained untouched causing malfunction of pump. SOS claim system left in full working order. Mmmmmmmm.

Chris came to identify where we had a leak. He completed lots of tests to find out where the issue is. Explained what he was doing and why. I had no idea where the leak was (no visible evidence of a leak but our water bill was high) and he managed to find where it was so now we can get it fixed. Professional, friendly, overall quick turn around from contact to visit. Good customer service keeping me informed.

Toby came to see us about a suspected water leak. He was extremely conscientious and not rushed at all. He took time to explain what he’d done, the result and how to get a copy of his report.

SOS Leak Detection was a company I hadn’t come across before, but I was genuinely impressed with their service. After reporting a leak in the bathroom shower that had started to seep through into the lounge, they arranged for an engineer to attend. From the moment he arrived, it was clear he was well-prepared and experienced, he came equipped with an impressive range of specialist gadgets, including thermal imaging scanner and advanced leak‑tracing equipment.
The investigation was thorough and methodical. He spent around four hours carefully tracing the source of the problem, explaining what he was checking and why at each stage. It was reassuring to see such a professional and non-invasive approach, especially given how disruptive leaks can be if not diagnosed correctly.
In the end, he successfully identified the exact source of the issue. The engineer was friendly, communicative, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing, which made the whole experience far less stressful than expected. Overall, the service was excellent, professional, and well worth it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend SOS Leak Detection based on this experience.

Karl was brilliant and found the source of the leak by working methodically to establish if it was the shower, was basin or toilet. He moved the toilet away from the wall when the die test did not work and found the the inlet valve to the cistern was leaking and dripping down onto the floor causing the water to spread under the vinyl flooring to the landing carpet and to the Utility room ceiling. He then sealed the soil pipe after isolating the water supply and left the bathroom as tidy as he could.
Karl was friendly and professional at all times and reassured us with all the questions we asked.

The gentleman who came out to review the situation was very pleasant and gave us the understanding that the claim was valid. A report has been sent to the firm directed by the insurer. I am awaiting their response. I would have been grateful for a copy of the report but it seems that this is not down to the firm to supply which I do not understand why when it should be available for ourselves to see. Therefore I can’t be sure what has actually been reported compared to what the firm coming out to repair the property let me know that they will attend to. Such a pity.
