I ordered a receiver from these guys, and first off they offered a great price for it. It arrived boxed very well (they put an extra box around it so it would survive unharmed). Unfortunately, the receiver was a defective unit (not their fault though). Here's where the excellent customer service comes in to play. When I called in the morning and spoke with Dave, he listened to the symptoms and offered to call the manufacturer to be sure they didn't have any known issues of this sort. Called me back right on time as promised. Offered to send a UPS pickup label to me, and they got the replacement receiver out to me that same day.

While problems like this suck, it's how a company deals with them that separates good pricing from a worthwhile place to do business with. Happy to say that Safe and Sound provided both! My only complaint is that UPS takes a week to deliver stuff from one coast to the other!

I'd highly recommend Safe and Sound and would be very happy to purchase from them again in the future.

Sometimes you take a chance buying an "Open Box" product locally much less on line. I had my concerns so I called up Safe & Sound. I talked with David and he answered all my questions. The call took place at 5 or 6pm right before a major blizzard. He told me that if I still wanted to place the order he can get it out to UPS so I can get it on Thursday. There was no hard pressure selling what so ever. After reading about the blizzard that came in I had my doubts that it would arrive on time. Sure enough, my Denon system came in on Thursday. This was super special because my husband came back home on Friday after being out for 3 weeks and I wanted to surprise him. I installed the system and it was super easy to do. The BEST part was the sound quality of the system. It was exactly what I was looking for in a micro system. I would definitely buy from Safe and Sound again. David is truly someone I trust and enjoy doing business with. Thank you so much David for your outstanding customer service. I really appreciate it.

I was waiting for the Denon AVR-X4000W to go on sale. The first place to have it was Safe and Sound and therefore I promptly bought it. It arrived quickly but there was just one problem, it was defective. That was when I met Dave. I have never in my life experience the kind of customer support I received from him. It wasn't even their fault, but he truly went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Usually when something like this happens, the most you get is an apology, and to be honest is kind of an inconvenience. That wasn't my experience here. You will never find anyone as kind or as honest as Safe and Sound. They are truly good people

I first ordered a complete surround sound system from Safe and Sound in early 2013 and recently went back for another system for our basement. Dave and Mike have absolute top notch service and awesome pricing. I had an issue with 1 speaker on my 2013 order and the incident was handled perfectly, couldn't ask for better. Highest recommendation!

I shopped around for a couple of months trying to determine what I wanted to do in the way of a home theater in my basement. I decided on Polk speakers, but wasn't really sure what to get. I contacted Polk and they gave a suggestion on what to get. I looked around for a dealer and found Safe and Sound online. I chatted with Gary via the website asking about open box. He suggested contacting Dave. I immediately called Dave and explained the room to him. He suggested adding two more speakers and gave me a great deal on the package (7.1 speaker system with receiver). I received everything and installed it about a week later. After getting all the speakers installed, I hooked up the speakers and the receiver did not work. I emailed Dave late on a Saturday night and he responded quickly. He came to the same conclusion that it was dead. He shipped out a new one to me Monday morning and everything worked great once I got it all hooked up. Thanks again to Safe and Sound, especially Dave. It was a great experience all around!

Customer service was simply great! I placed a phone order and could not have been more pleased with the level of service and how conversational the ordering process was (not just a call center tech asking you for SKUs, etc). They met and exceeded all of my expectations and went out of their way to get my order to me on time. Thanks again! Highly recommend!

First, Safe & Sound has best prices I have seen for Denon Recievers.
Second, Pre-Purchase Customer Service is absolutely Excellent. Conversations are domestic, so no need to speak loudly. Safe&Sound had better understanding than Denon as to how differences in product specs will impact performance and sound. And, when I decided to change order, no problem, and still shipped same day.
Third, Post-Purchase Technical Service is better than some Denon, like getting Remote Control Codes not in product manual.
Finally, as for the Denon AVR-X4000, all I can say is WOW. I replaced a Sony STR-DN1030 driving a 7.1 configuration with a Bose Accoustimass 15 and two rear Advent Loudspeakers. You simply would not believe its the same speakers, not only is sound better, but so is the calibration.

I recommend Safe and Sound highly.

Heard about Safe and Sound on a web forum and thought I'd try them out. I was looking for a new AV receiver. I called, got immediate attention, a good price and placed my order. They cautioned that the model I ordered was not in stock, but expected in a week or two. I was not in any rush so no problem. Couple of days I got an email saying one came in and they turned it right around to me. I would definitely recommend them!

I ordered my Polk speakers and they shipped same day. I am very pleased with the service. The speakers came in perfect condition.

I have been burned by online shopping sites many times. I've purchased (or so I thought) thousands of dollars in products only to find out a site was a scam and stole my credit card information.

I ordered 5 speakers from Safe and Sound on June 23rd and they arrived on Monday June 30 all the way across the country. I dealt with David L. who was awesome to deal with. Professional and follows through! It's nice getting a GREAT deal on an open box buy from an authorized sales company. Their prices were better than EBay, plus I got the manufacturers warranty. The package was shipped immediately, and when I opened the box, it was extremely well packed. All the speakers were still wrapped from the manufacturer. I HIGHLY recommend this business and I look forward to doing business with them in the future! I don't know what position David L. holds with the company, but he is definitely an asset to Safe and Sound!

I purchased a Polk audio speaker system that my husband has been wanting for years for his March birthday. The speakers arrived in a timely manner. I ordered one of the speakers that he wanted wrong unfortunately and he didnt realize until just now! So i had to call safeandsoundhq and they told me it wasn't a problem and to just send it back and they would send the right one. I literally said "Thats it?" I was expecting a restocking fee etc because it has been so long since i placed the order. They said they try to make it easy.. I agree. Thank you for the very good customer service.

Great company as far as I can see. I Did my research on them before buying and everyone seems to be very happy. I placed my order online and had instant order confirmation. Later I had a copy of my receipt followed by shipping confirmation about 3 hours after that. I felt totally in the loop throughout my transaction ( good feeling)... Communication is key these days. My items were delivered In about 2 or 3 business days. I will likely choose this company for my future home stereo needs.

The products I ordered shipped quickly! The communication throughout the process was excellent, I was provided a tracking number immediately. The products arrived in good order as the packaging was more than sufficient. All of the products arrived as described. I first came across this company after reading around one of the forums about how great their pricing and service is. I then started visiting the Safe & Sound website at least a couple of times a week chatting with Gary about the "system" that I was trying to put together. We worked through the details and he assured me that even if I ran into trouble with fitment he would work with me on exchanges and that we would figure out what speakers would work. I had this safe feeling throughout the buying process that no matter what I encountered he would help me complete my system. I ran into a couple of construction issues that my builder so kindly didn't make me aware of and just like he said we did a couple of exchanges and got the products that fit my build.
