I would not recommend this property management company if you were looking to lease in the Greater Heights of Houston, Texas. Take it from a working professional and public educator with many years of experience living in apartments and various apartment communities. There are plenty of more viable options and alternatives for housing that are newer and have better conditions in the area. After having an initial positive experience upon touring, I received a much more negative experience once I signed a lease with this company in January and rented a unit at this complex. There was no make ready completed on the unit I rented as requested, and I discovered multiple maintenance problems with the apartment such as mold, mildew, and issues with appliances, flooring, etc. I have posted pictures on Google and Facebook I took at the time that illustrate dents, cracks, poor drainage, condensation on the ceiling, etc. It just was not a good situation, so I did not move in and then suffered the wrath of property management battling the leasing terms which became confrontational. I was not offered any compensation for my trouble or frustration. No refunding of my deposit and first month rent or any other fees I had paid. I was told I had to move in and give them 30 days to fix the problems per the leasing agreement. So, their philosophy and business practice are you move into problems and maybe they get it fixed in 30 days? RPM Living manages this complex and when I communicated with the regional manager for the property at the Houston office in regard to my issue, she never called me back nor returned an e-mail. When I later attempted to contact the area manager for the property at the corporate office in Austin, Texas, she finally responded with an e-mail communication in May indicating no funds would be returned for the defective unit. I know this negative review will bring out a public relations style response below with a defensive statement/rebuttal from their management team with maybe even an apology but that does not change the circumstances I endured from this experience and the money I lost on this deal due to their incompetence. So please adhere to my warning and do not make the same mistake I did by doing business with this company. Save yourself time, money, and aggravation by taking your business elsewhere!
