Communication was very good, (despite shaky start) we had lots of viewings and received emails detailing when they would be and weekly phone calls with updates on how things were progressing. Once a buyer was found, everything progressed smoothly to completion. Very happy and would recommend them. The front reception team were lovely and so pleasant to talk to. Thank you

Disappointing experience after a promising start

Perry Bishop initially impressed us with their communication and the way they handled the listing of our property. However, as time went on, the level of communication noticeably declined. We had been emailing the sales manager with no response, only to later discover—after calling the office—that they had actually left the company. At no point were we informed of this change, which left us feeling ignored and uncertain during a critical time.

After five months on the market, with no sale and a suggested price reduction from Perry Bishop, we spoke to the new sales manager and agreed to take the property off the market. We were told this would be done the following day. However, after the listing was removed, we received an unexpected £300 fee for withdrawing the property. While this was mentioned in the contract, it wasn’t brought to our attention during the conversation about removing the listing—something that would have been both professional and courteous.
It’s also worth noting that many other estate agents do not charge this kind of withdrawal fee, so I would advise anyone considering Perry Bishop to check the fine print carefully and compare terms with other agents.

On top of this, we had to notify Perry Bishop ourselves that our home was incorrectly listed as a new build on Rightmove. This mistake may have seriously impacted interest in the property, and it was concerning that we had to spot and flag this error, rather than it being picked up by the agent.

Overall, our experience started well but ended with disappointment, miscommunication, and unexpected costs. I would recommend doing thorough research before signing with Perry Bishop or any estate agent.
