We purchased our new home through Perry Bishop in October 2025 through their Tetbury branch.

Their communication was swift and they balanced both their sellers needs and my own well to achieve an offer being accepted.

We then moved on to deal with our sales progressor, Sam - who was immense. We received really regular check-in calls from her - and what was nicest was that the first order of business was always ‘how we were’; not just ‘how quickly can we get this done’ - which was a really refreshing thing!

When it came to the business though; Sam chased responses for us, offered solid advice and really helped to drive the transaction along.

I couldn’t speak more highly of Sam and Perry Bishop in general.

Avoid Perry Bishop at all costs.

Our experience with this agency was appalling. We asked them face to face why the previous sale on the property had fallen through, and they deliberately chose to omit the actual reason — that the house had spray foam insulation and was therefore unmortgageable. This blatant lack of transparency turned the entire buying process into a nightmare, caused huge stress, and ended up costing us thousands of pounds more than it should have.

We were forced to escalate the matter to the Estate Agents Ombudsman, who investigated and ruled in our favour. Perry Bishop now has a formal ruling against them for their conduct — which says everything you need to know.

Buying a home is stressful enough without being misled by the very people who are supposed to act with professionalism and integrity. Perry Bishop failed on both counts. If you value honesty, transparency, and basic competence, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.

Although our experience occurred two years ago, I’ve since heard of similar issues including the failure to disclose important property information with potentially long-term consequences. Unfortunately, it seems their practices have not improved.

Jade Allen couldn't have been more helpful, kind and PATIENT. In a rather protracted purchase for my 84 year old mother, Jade and the team at PB were always willing to help and relieved a stressful situation for us all. Will definitely use PB again and moreover hopefully Jade is there to help us.

Much more professional and competent than many other agents I had encountered in my house hunt. Through no fault of Perry Bishop my sale was delayed but the team maintained a personal touch and great communications and proactive approach to helping me through it all. They were also great when I had to rent out the house as I used them as the letting agent then too. Basically, they have been great, trustworthy, great communications, professional and always felt like they had my best interests at heart.

The initial offer took only a few months in a weak sales market - but what really impressed me was the dedicated staff who took us from offer to completion. Approachable team focused on getting the sale achieved and smoothing out any bumps on that journey. I was deeply impressed by their friendly service and professionalism.

I would like to sincerely thank Michelle Murphy at Perry Bishop for her support, kindness, and quick responses throughout my buying journey. Michelle was always extremely helpful, answering all my questions within days and keeping me informed at every stage, which I truly appreciated.

That said, I do have mixed feelings about the overall experience. The seller accepted our offer in mid-March, and by the end of May both my solicitor and I were ready to exchange. However, the process extended until late August, and when we were finally ready to complete, my solicitor’s firm was unfortunately intervened. This caused further delays, though in the end I only took one week extra to complete from the originally agreed date after the intervention.

During this period, I went through a lot of stress and panic, particularly as I had already paid my deposit to the solicitor. Thankfully, I did receive my deposit back before completion, and everything was sorted in the end. I do not place blame on Perry Bishop for these circumstances, but I do feel that if the agents had been a little more assertive or clearer about timeframes with the seller, it might have reduced the stress and uncertainty I experienced.

As a first-time buyer, I have certainly experienced the worst in this process, but I am grateful that Michelle ensured information was passed on to me promptly and always before any deadlines. For that reason, I would still recommend Perry Bishop, with the advice to give clear deadlines to sellers early on.

Great experience with the Perry bishop Cirencester team. Selling my empty property and start to finish dealt with professionalism and courtesy. Kept me in the loop at all stages. Jade in particular was great at keeping the sale on track and sorting out all the inevitable glitches that come with selling!
