Dont get insured with this shower
Don't get insured with this shower. When I went on one of the common 'compare insurance sites' at some point within the last 4 years, this being just to get a rough quote I listed a historic claim as being in year 2022 instead of the accurate 2021, my error.
Last week I went back on one of the compare sites entering all correct information and then I chose Perfomance Direct. Before buying the policy I double checked and checked again all my details ahead of my declaration. There was no need to list my 2021 claim as 5 years had passed. No problem I thought. I then had a call to say I had not listed a 2022 claim, for which there never was. They are now asking me to contact both insurers of 2022 (2 cars) for which I have not a clue who they were, to request a letter stating I did not have a claim. Not being able to do this I got a quote from another broker who said they can see on a National data base that no claim was made by me in 2022. If they can see that why cant Perormance Direct? I have been given 7 days to produce 2 nonsense letters confirmng no claim in 2022 when Performance Direct already have the information and can access the same data base? I will lose £85 for just a week of cover when I cancel on Monday. Is this just another way of getting money out of customers? Moreover, why would Performance Direct think that the information given by me just to get a quote perhaps years ago (they could not say when) is more accurate that what I gave at the point declaration last week. Avoid they have no common sense which is always needed!
