I recently purchased the PeepSo Community Bundle for my site, ReigniteSocial.com, and the entire experience — from installation to refund — was deeply disappointing.

1. Misleading Product Presentation
When I purchased the bundle, the sales page clearly listed “Awedesk Integration.”
To any reasonable customer, that implies that Awedesk is included or at least functional without an additional purchase.

Immediately after installation, WordPress displayed this warning:

“PeepSo requires Awedesk (1.2.0 or newer) to be installed and activated to run PeepSo Integrations: Awedesk.”

Only then did I learn that the “integration” plugin is completely useless unless you buy a separate Awedesk license.

This was not clearly stated on the product page at the time of purchase.
Most companies explicitly say when a required third‑party product is not included. PeepSo did not.

2. Support Responses Became Defensive and Condescending
I reached out politely to explain the confusion. Instead of acknowledging that the wording could easily be misunderstood, I was essentially lectured.

Here is a direct quote from PeepSo’s CEO, Eric Tracz:

“For the avoidance of doubt, the product page described Awedesk Integration, which denotes interoperability with a separate third-party product. It does not, and did not, represent that an Awedesk license or the Awedesk software itself was included in the Community Bundle. The distinction is neither obscure nor unconventional.”

And further:

“Your interpretation appears to have conflated integration with inclusion. Those are materially different concepts.”

This tone was unnecessary, dismissive, and frankly unprofessional.
I wasn’t debating software terminology — I was pointing out that the sales page presentation was unclear and led to a reasonable misunderstanding.

3. Removing PeepSo Left My Website Empty
As part of the refund process, I was required to remove all PeepSo software from my server.

Doing so left my website completely empty — no community, no content, no structure.
Everything that had been built using PeepSo vanished the moment their plugins were removed.

This was never mentioned beforehand, and it added even more frustration to an already disappointing experience.

4. Refund Process Felt Cold and Bureaucratic
After complying immediately and removing all software, the response I received was:

“Refund will be processed within 10 business days.”

No apology.
No acknowledgment of the confusion.
No recognition of the disruption caused.
Just a procedural message and a status change to “Pending – On Hold.”

5. Final Thoughts
I am a 63‑year‑old Canadian veteran, and I know what I saw on their website at the time of purchase. The wording has since changed, and PeepSo insists it was always clear.

My experience says otherwise.

If you are considering PeepSo, be aware:

“Integration” does not mean the included product is usable without buying additional licenses.

Their support team may lecture you instead of listening.

Removing their software can leave your website completely empty.

I hope this review helps others avoid the same frustration I went through.

The Peepso team have been absolutely fantastic in assisting me to build my site (and app). The support is excellent. I would recommend them to everybody.

Just like another recent reviewer of PeepSo, I had tried JomSocial, Easy Social, BuddyPress, Social Engine, etc., in my search for a solid, well-rounded social networking software. Each had its good points, but none managed to deliver the quality or ease of use PeepSo delivers, and none of them came even remotely close to the quality and levels of support PeepSo provides. They're actually a bit obsessive about support and very good at providing it. Their entire team is excellent.

PeepSo itself is brilliantly designed, quite lightweight considering what it's capable of, and simply works as intended. It's also priced affordably and updated regularly. PeepSo's core and extensions are by far some of the most well-maintained plugins available for WordPress.

If you're looking to start a niche social network, just get PeepSo and save yourself some time and headaches. You won't be disappointed.

My experience with PeepSo is 2+ years, though I am FINALLY doing more than experimenting with it and will be publicly launching my network very soon. I have extensively tried all the features, various configurations, integrations, etc., and can assure anyone considering PeepSo that it works, it's easy to set up and configure, and if you can't figure something out or need advice on settings or customizing something, they will be right there to help you.

Excellent software to build community with, support is best I've ever experienced in the wordpress world. Updates come in regularly and possibilities are always expanding.

I have tried several, if not all of the available Social Media type wares for both Wordpress and Joomla over the years. I have found Peepso to be responsive to the users, offering tons of features, and they continue to work on improvements. I purchased a bundle package as an investment to save money and encourage everyone to go that way to do the same.

This is the best software you can get on the market for community building. I use PeepSo now 5 months, and I love it. It so much more than the big boys out there.
Also the team has build up a great support, and development that become a max points!

For those of us who have become more often censored, banned, limited and trolled out of existence on other platforms like Facebook because of our political views, Peepso has given us the ability to declare independence and create our own hyper-local and firearms friendly law abiding gun owner communities.

The customer support is quick and always ready to help, even with difficult questions. The features are many and get better all the time, showing that the team is committed to providing a quality product.
