Unethical and underhanded practices
Avoid getting yourself involved with this company at all costs - they are unethical, underhanded and money-grabbing and make it impossible to escalate customer concerns internally.
I was approached at the front door of my home by OpenInfra inviting me to have free installation of fibre internet; reassured on my own doorstep that I was not signing up to a contract and would not be charged for anything. A month after the installation, I received my first monthly invoice from Optyx for £40. It appears in signing for the 'free' installation, I also agreed to a 24-month contract with Optyx - information that was underhandedly withheld by the representative and squirrelled away in a service agreement. Multiple attempts to contact both Optyx and OpenInfra have resulted in the two of them absconding of all responsibility, and throwing the service agreement back in my face. Optyx will not budge in cancelling the agreement that I had no knowledge I was signing up to because of the complete lack of proper disclosure. I will be taking Optyx to the Ombudsman for their blatant money-grabbing and unethical conduct. It's disgusting that this company is allowed to operate when they use tactics like these to trick people into going into business with them, and I strongly urge you not to consider or engage with them for any internet services.
Same problem as Loo no access to catch up services.
I have been trying to contact Opytx as we cannot get our terrestrial channel catch up up services. These services are denying us access as they don’t think we are in the UK. I have sent emails and telephoned Optyx and did manage to speak to someone on one occasion. I then followed his instructions but this did not solve the problem. Customer services do not respond to emails and most of the time you just get their recorded message. A really disappointing service.
Have been trying to contact optyx…
Have been trying to contact optyx broadband customer service for the last few days. Have submitted an email ticket and still no respond. Cannot access any catch up TV such as Iplayer, Channel 4 etc. etc. On looking a bit closer, IP address is in the UK, but ISP is in Sweden so as far as they are concerned we are not in the UK. Please respond to your customers. You could not wait to get our business, now that you have got it suddenly your customer service line is down. Also your phonelines may be down but surely not email as well? Not happy.
Terrible service - no response to emails or calls for a month
I signed up to optyx broadband through openinfra. After waiting months longer than told for the openinfra fibre connectivity we were told we only needed the router... That was a month ago. Three emails unanswered. Phone calls not answered "calls cannot be answered - email us!"
Going on 3+ weeks of packet loss....

Zero customer service.
I signed up with Open Infra fiber optic internet service. After months of emailing back and forth and being told we could pick our own ISP openinfra tells us that they automatically signed us up with OptyxBroadband. They gave me the customer service email address and phone number to email Optyx to get a router and get the account set up and going.
That was in the beginning of January, after countless emails for weeks upon end I still have not gotten an email back from Optyx and the customer service phone number on the website is disconnected.. absolutely terrible company do not recommend them to anybody. Currently writing this review March 19th and still have not gotten anything whatsoever from Optyx.

Great customer service
Had a few problems getting the service set up, and decided to give them a call to see if they would help. I spoke to Markus who was polite, efficient, and helped me get it all sorted so quickly. Really grateful to him for his handling of my case.

Waiting MONTHS for service!!
Non-existent Customer Service. No response from customerservice @ optyxbroadband.com either.
Have been waiting 3 months for Router so have no service, yet they have the cheek to send me bills!!
I would not recommend then to anyone. (Arkley/Barnet area)
20th March 2024: Optyx have taken almost 2 months to respond to this review. Say's it all really....
I have emailed Customer Services again as requested (22/03/2024).

Brilliant broadband
Brilliant broadband. Never had an issue getting through and service has been excellent. So glad I moved to Optyx/OpenInfra, saved quite a bit as well.

NO SERVICE

Called several times, finally got a human but she wouldn't give us any info on the service, not even our account info. She stated we would receive it on a bill, almost 2 months later still nothing....

YOU SIMPLY MUST MOVE TO THIS ISP
Some might say I am a little OCD when it comes to my Utility company providers. Rightly so some might say.
Then in the Summer of 2023 I had a knock on my door from OpenInfra trying to sell me their new Broadband. I was very sceptical so I thanked them and wished them well. Fast forward 5 or so months. My contract with BT was ending on the 7th December 2023. The renewal price was not pretty and despite 6+ calls begging them to help my cries fell on deaf ears (thanks BT/EE...not) but as my wife and I work from home we needed a stable and reliable broadband. Granted we were only getting 67Mbps fibre it served us well (though we had to pretty much always use the booster all the time).
I had enough so I called OpenInfra and in what can only be described as SUPERHUMAN turn around time we signed up to their 250Mbps 2 year contract. Firstly I want to THANK IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THE INCREDIBLE AMAZING SERVICE from JONATHAN (sales) DANIEL (installation) and KEVIN (manager). Guys truly AWESOME service (did I mention this was on Sat. 23rd December). Possibly the best service I have ever received and thats the truth!!! Kevin even managed to get us live on the same day, again incredible service.
Suffice to say its only been 2 weeks but besides my wife and I working from home my kids were off school and were constantly on their tech watching movies and playing games. Not once did we need to use any booster or mesh. The signal and strength remained solid and continues to provide us with amazing speeds and reliability.
I know this review was a little long and boring at times but if you live in the Arkley - Barnet area and you can get access to OpenInfra/Optyx ISP - I CANNOT and I mean CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH. You will be absolutely THRILLED like we are
Oh and did I mention the price. Well let's just say the word half comes to mind!!!
OpenInfra/Optyx ISP THANK YOU - we look forward to staying with you for many many years to come.
