What a great company
We needed a new shed for our club and after looking at other manufactures we decided on MCD Sheds. From placing our order to delivery everything went to plan with no problems whatsoever. A good quality garden room backed up by excellent customer service
MCD Garden Sheds supplied and installed a 10x8 pent garden room for me in the summer of 2024.
Rather than leave a review immediately after installation, I decided to wait six months. I wanted to give the building a few months to bed in, see how it performs in different weather and if there were any snags with it.
I bought the garden room with the bronze package, which includes floor insulation and guttering. I added power and lights, wall and roof insulation, internal wall cladding and flooring myself.
MCD is a family business and Emma and Martin provide great customer service, both pre and post-sale. Communication with the company was a strong point, as was flexibility and patience, as I changed my mind on which building I wanted and delayed the delivery several times. I was also impressed by the installers; they arrived on time, worked efficiently and thoroughly and left my garden tidy.
The building looks impressive. It doesn't have that mass produced look you get with buildings from some of the big suppliers. People who see it often think it cost more than it did. The anthracite double glazed doors and windows certainly add a touch of class.
The building has stood up well to a variety of weather and doesn't leak. The walls and floor are very sturdy. Initially, I was a little dubious about the roof as it’s a very simple construction; a sheet of corrugated steel attached to a cross-shaped frame constructed from 3 x 2 timbers. Whilst I wouldn’t recommend walking on the roof, it is guaranteed for 10 years, looks smart and I’ve had no issues at all.
I feel MCD could refine some aspects of the building design. A few small tweaks could make the building even better. For example, when opening the doors fully the handles bump against the windows, which is a little annoying but was quickly solved by fixing some rubber buffers to the front of the building (admittedly, this may not be an issue on bigger or smaller versions of this building). In warmer weather, there's no way of securing the doors fully open, so I ended up fitting some hooks. It would be handy if MCD could offer opening windows or an air vent as an optional extra. Finally, one reason I didn't go for the gold package (which includes mineral wool insulation throughout) is because I wanted something a little better than mineral wool. I fitted PIR insulation on the walls and multi-foil in the ceiling/roof.
In summary, whilst it's always a good idea to shop around before making a major purchase like this, I'm very happy that I chose MCD as they supplied a high quality product for a competitive price. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Really pleased with our new shed, strong and resilient. Constructed on site whilst we were away exactly as requested and a great clean up on site, no mess at all with the old one taken away. Allowed us to paint it before delivery in the factory. Nice people!

We called to visit MCD Garden Sheds show room, when looking for a replacement shed towards the end of summer and didn’t go anywhere else !
The quality and craftsmanship is truly market leading - It is outstanding and in my opinion can not be beaten.
As soon as you arrive at their showroom you are immediately made to feel welcome and treated with respect.
Staff are friendly and polite and extremely knowledgeable, very approachable and interested in taking time to show they genuinely care about their customers needs and requirements.
When you see the sheer quality on display you instantly know you have found the best.
When you discuss your options you are not pressured in any way and made to feel confident about your purchase and for me personally that was absolutely brilliant (I wanted an upgraded door and needed a few additional extras during the manufacture process and this was no trouble at all)
I gladly paid my deposit there and then.
I was given a time frame for my new shed to be manufactured and everything went like clockwork.
My new shed was delivered exactly as promised and again it must be said - The installation team were amazing- Just as polite and professional and caring as my encounter of the showroom and office staff - You honestly cannot wish to meet any better people from start to finish.
I genuinely can very highly recommend MCD Garden Sheds to anyone.
I am absolutely delighted with my new shed and the quality is outstanding - If this standard and craftsmanship is not market leading ? - Then I don’t know what could beat it ? - The timber, joints and manufacture are by far, more superior to any other garden shed, that I have personally ever encountered before.
I can whole heartedly say I could not have obtained a better shed from any where else !
In my humble opinion MCD Garden Sheds are simply the best out there.

Custom made 8x4 cottage style shed.
I had a custom made 8x4 cottage style shed with an incorporated 2ft log store designed, built and erected in September this year. From design to completion MCD were excellent to deal with and I am absolutely delighted with the finished building. Fantastic quality and very heavy, this should last for years and at a price that was worth every penny. Excellent company.

Great staff great shed
All staff really friendly and helped get what we really wanted great choices an great build quality an materials much better than local sheds we looked an first, the men that came out to build the shed were very nice an polite an you can tell they have been doing it for a long time no messing bang it was up an tidy couldn't ask for it to be any easier, really happy with the results thank you to all the staff.
