Poor experience purchasing a damaged 3200XL food processor online

Purchased 3200XL food processor online. When it arrived the item was damaged and I sent by email a video and photos showing fault and damaged packaging. Item collected 4 days later and refund finally arrived 11 days after collection. Very difficult dealing with customer services as they respond to emails over 24 hours later. If there had been a phone number to call it would have been very helpful but there is not one available.

Sorry to hear your food processor arrived damaged on delivery and that this affected your overall experience. While we take great care to package our products securely, damage can occasionally occur during transit due to factors outside our control, and we appreciate you emailing us photos and a video so we could resolve the issue for you.

On the same day that our Customer Care team received report of the damaged delivery, a collection of the damaged item and a replacement machine was offered. As you preferred a refund, the team arranged a collection for the earliest date that was convenient for you.

Once the item was collected, the refund was processed in line with our policy, which allows up to 14 days for returned items to be received, inspected, and refunded. We appreciate that waiting for this process to be completed can be frustrating, even when it is within our standard timescales.

Our Customer Care team aims to respond to all enquiries within one working day, and we confirm that your messages were replied to within this timeframe. While we understand your comments regarding phone support, this service has recently been removed, and our team did everything possible to support you via our online service desk during this period.

We are sorry to hear you did not have a positive purchasing experience and would like to extend our thanks again for taking the time to leave a review.

All good so far!

Loving the blender so far, it's powerful and not at all cumbersome, slotting easily into my cupboards. The fact that it is a glass, dishwasher safe jug makes it very convenient, other blenders I've had needed hand washing, way too much hassle!

I finally had to buy a new one…

I finally had to buy a new one when the bowl broke after only 40 years ( a shame as the motor was still fine). Good thing the new one is guaranteed for the next 30.

Delivery was very prompt

Delivery was very prompt, product was very well packaged and appears to be of a good quality.
Having tried several of the processing methods everything seems to work well so far, time will tell as this is the first food processor we have purchased.

It seems a good quality product and the service was just fine. I felt however that the product write up was a little misleading; it suggests the blender and processor I bought was for 1-4 people in terms of capacity; which I wanted, but the size of the processor small bowl and clearance in the grinder attachment for the blender are unsuitable for 1 person.

Poor customer service

The food procesor is amazing. However I am very disappointed becuase one of the items was damaged on arrival so I emailed customer services (10 days ago) and I have still not received a reply.

I would not choose any other food processor or blender than a Magimix.

Rigid Price Adjustment Policy Forces Unnecessary Return and Repurchase

I recently purchased the Magimix Blender 4 Premium from Magimxi on October 10, 2025, for £229.98.

Less than a month later, while still well within the standard return period, I noticed the exact same blender had dropped in price to £198.98. The difference was £40.

I contacted customer service hoping for a simple price adjustment to avoid unnecessary hassle for both of us. I explicitly stated that if they could not honor the price difference, I would be forced to return the brand-new unit for a full refund and immediately purchase a replacement at the lower price, utilizing their own policy.

Despite this clear cost-saving option, the customer service team refused to issue the small adjustment, citing a rigid policy. They forced me to go through the entirely wasteful process of returning an item only to re-purchase it, creating unnecessary shipping, restocking, and labor costs for the company, and inconvenience for me.

This demonstrates a severely flawed and anti-customer policy. I am disappointed that Magimix values a rigid rule over common sense and customer retention. I will think twice before making another large purchase here.

Great products made in Europe and good customer service

Magimix continues to design and manufacture quality products in Europe. Their customer service is excellent.
I had an issue with one of the items included with the food processor I bought recently, so I contacted them and they sorted my problem by sending me a new part straight away.

Bloody loud.

Blends protein shakes very well.

Bloody loud.

Quiet mark is hilarious in its irony.

But then I knew I was mad thinking there could be a quiet blender!

My previous ten year old, Philips blender was actually lower in volume than this magimix.

Wouldn’t recommend. Get something cheap and cheerful.
It’s just blending.

Grinder not fitting on food processor

I have had my Magimix Juice Expert for less than a month and it has failed in spectacular fashion.

I have had my Magimix Juice Expert for 1 month. On Saturday, I was using it for just the second time to juice some apples that I had spent 2 hours picking in our garden.

Our process is to juice enough apples to fill one bottle, then stop the machine, fill the bottle, clear out the filter, and repeat.

After filling 6 bottles on Saturday, the machine would not restart. It made a loud buzzing noise, and began to smell of burning. With the machine switched off, but still plugged in to the mains, it continued to get hotter, to the point that it became too hot to touch. I unplugged it and took it out to my porch. It remained hot for well over an hour.

After apologising to my wife for choosing a Magimix and the time we had wasted picking the apples, I filled out the online Magimix form explainging what had happened.

Below is the text of their response this morning:

Hello
Please see page 3 instructions for use Juice Expert
"The appliance is fitted with a thermal Failsafe that automatically stops the motor if it has been running for to long or it is overloaded."
The running time of a Magimix Juice Expert 3 is 15 mins
However as this is just buzzing, it sounds like the Capacitor (which sets the speed of the motor) has stopped working.

Maybe I am old fashioned, but I have to say I find the tone of this email both rude, unhelpful, and spectacularly unapologetic. Not even using names is incredible.

If you follow the link, you go to a repair agent website that fully supposes that the machine is out of warranty. It goes on about postage cost and sending me quotes for the repair. It does not say if I should send the whole machine, or just the (very heavy) motor unit.

To be honest, I wouldn't know how to begin packing up something so heavy. It can't just go in a cardboard box with newspaper stuffed around it.

For 15 years, my previous Magimix Duo worked faultlessly, and I had the impression that Magimix considered itself a high quality and customer driven company.

In all respects, right now, I could not be more disappointed.

I have not fallen in love with my magi mix YET…

I have not fallen in love with my magi mix yet. I do find it cumbersome. The mini bowl is very awkward to lift in and out and I am not sure what the advantage of the midi bowl is. It’s early day and I have not used it for many things yet. The motor is very powerful and it does work quickly - I think with time I will be very happy with it

We are sorry to hear you're finding it cumbersome at first, particularly when lifting the mini bowl in and out. It does take a bit of time to get comfortable with the different bowls and their purposes in the beginning.

Regarding the midi bowl, as noted in the instruction manual, it is a practical, easy-clean bowl, specifically designed for use with the discs. It's ideal for tasks such as slicing, grating, and shredding, allowing you to process ingredients neatly without needing to use the main bowl, which can be particularly helpful if you want to use the midi and the main bowl in the same sitting as it means you don't need to wash up half-way through prep.

We are pleased to hear that you're already noticing the power and speed of the motor. Magimix products are designed to be very efficient and long-lasting and it's great to hear that with time, you will be very happy with it.

Superb

I was busy saving up to treat myself to a magimix to replace my much cheaper food processor. But then it stopped working so I bit the bullet and ordered the 4200xl with the extra discs. I have not a single regret. I have used it at least once a day, for example today I made hummus, and bread rolls for lunch and a banana bread, and I just made pizza dough for dinner. Everything is so much more amazing than my old brand. The hummus is smooth and creamy. The bread dough is way better than made by hand and so quick. Its also much quieter than my old processor. It feels sturdy and strong and I have tried most of the attachments. Grate a whole block of cheese in seconds! Easy to clean up too. I have arm pains and find normal cutting and grating leaves me very tired but now its a breeze. Thank you Thank you! (Merci beaucoup)
