Beyond useless
Beyond useless. The ONLY hard stuff I have a attempted to blend in my vitamix has been cashew nuts, soaked for 24 hours, as required by the recipe for which I use them (and which are in a liquid by the time they go into the machine). I have NEVER attempted to use Ice, or any other hard substance. I bought this machine new from Amazon, and whilst it blended well the first couple of times, the engine cuts out almost immediately now, and all I get is a loud noise. I then have to let it settle for ten minutes or so, before attempting to use again. I will be contacting the (authorised by vitamix UK) Amazon seller and returning. Utterly useless.
Ascent 3500i recall issue
Bought a Vitamix Ascent 3500i 5 years ago. Have now just found out there has been a recall on the small cup accessory blender that I purchased alongside it. At no point did Vitamix reach out to tell me there was a serious fault with the cup system, and that it could and has caused serious injury. So now am left with a large jug blender that is rarely used as we mainly puree small dinners for our son who has cerebral palsy. No advice from Vitamix regarding replacement or reimbursement.
Fantastic after sales
When my wife decided to buy a VitaMix after yet another cheap blender broke I was shocked at the price. She assured me that VitaMix is a quality product backed by a good warranty.
After years of work the motor started misbehaving so I reached out to VitaMix. They arranged for the unit to be picked up. Today it was returned with a new motor and jug.
It's refreshing when a company actually stands by their products and word. We worth the asking price.
Worse Customer Service, they lost our blender.
Blender worked okay for years but was still in warranty when it started going wrong so we called them up and they sent it to Novo, that was three weeks ago. DPD said they never collected it from the post office where we dropped it off, Novo are useless, no one can help no one cares, no one wants to take responsibility. Do not buy a Vitamix, especially in Europe.
Customer service do not answer emails
Considering that this office is selling a £700 product, you'd think they would take better care of their customers, but they don't. If you send them an email to customer support, nobody answers. You have to telephone, and even then, they still don't follow up on your emails.
BEWARE, THIS PRODUCT IS A SCAM ! : Terrible Customer Service and Products Not Suited for Europe
I am extremely disappointed with Vitamix. A few months ago (July 2024), I purchased a food processor attachment from Ubuy without knowing it wasn’t compatible with European models. This essential information was nowhere on Vitamix’s website or Ubuy. After days of nonstop searching for what the problem might be, I finally found the answer buried in a thread on Reddit! It was later confirmed by Vitamix that their European bases are incompatible with ANY food processor attachments because they haven’t even created a European-compatible food processor base yet.
Then why are they allowing this product to be sold in Europe? Could they not inform customers of this crucial detail before misleading them into buying an expensive, useless product and paying massive shipping fees to Europe?
When I contacted Vitamix about this issue, they were completely dismissive and unhelpful. Thankfully, Ubuy refunded me for both the product and the expensive shipping costs.
Now, I’m dealing with another issue: I can’t register my Vitamix Ascent Series 225 ml BPA-Free Plastic Blending Bowls and Vitamix Ascent Series 600 ml BPA-Free Plastic Blending Cup because registration is only available for customers in the USA and Canada. This is completely unacceptable!
To make matters worse, when I call the French customer service line, I only get an automatic voice message stating that the French customer service is no longer available. The recording attempts to provide an email address and website for support, but it’s nearly impossible to understand due to poor audio quality, a heavy French accent, and an extremely fast speaking pace. This makes it even harder to get any help or find a solution to my problem.
If Vitamix can’t support their customers in Europe, then they should stop selling their products here. On top of that, they’re selling products that don’t even work (like my food processor). I don’t understand why the European bases are different from the American ones, but Vitamix should prioritize their customers over profit. Selling something useless without informing the buyer is robbery, especially at such high prices!
I have not only wasted money but also a significant amount of time dealing with both of these issues. I have much better ways to spend my money and time. I NEVER thought that a huge, reputable company like Vitamix would end up being such a scam.
Vitamix seriously needs to reconsider their pricing and how they treat their customers. I deeply regret buying from this brand and can no longer recommend them.
Outrageous Oversight for a £700 Blender
Outrageous Oversight for a £700 Blender
I’m beyond frustrated with my new Vitamix Ascent Series blender. After spending up to £700, I expected premium quality and thoughtful design. Instead, I’m left dumbfounded by the complete lack of a narrow pitcher option—something Vitamix offered years ago with the ancient 5200 model.
The wide pitcher that comes with the Ascent is utterly impractical for smaller batches. Making nut butters, sauces, or even single-serving smoothies is a nightmare. How can Vitamix claim to innovate while removing a crucial, basic feature that made their older models so versatile?
This feels like a blatant cash grab. A brand-new, high-end blender that costs this much should offer more functionality than its predecessors, not less. That Vitamix expects loyal customers to buy an outdated model just to get the narrow pitcher is insulting.
Vitamix, do better. If I’m paying top dollar, I expect a product that’s not just powerful but functional for all tasks. Until you fix this glaring issue, I’d warn others to think twice before spending on the Ascent Series
Can you at least release a narrow pitcher for the Ascent series please? Thank you.
VITAMIX GIVING FALSE INFORMATION !!!
I have had a A3500i for 5 years. I have wanted a 12-cup food processor attachment but haven’t been able to afford it. I asked Vitamix UK was the 12-cup food processor attachment compatible with the A3500i? Vitamix UK said yes it was but it wasn’t available in UK which wasn’t true because Amazon UK did have it for years. I get a 12-cup food processor attachment for Christmas which I was so pleased until I fine out that it is NOT compatible to the A3500 at all. So l am now very angry with Vitamix UK for giving me false information. This is totally unacceptable. I am now stuck with this 12-cup food processor attachment which is of no use in the UK. I would not recommend Vitamix to anyone now because of the false information they gave me. 😡😡😡😡😡
TERRIBLE
I had a vitamix for over 10 years with no problems.
Bought the newest version and within months the smoothie cup wasn’t working.
Since then, my 2lt container stopped detecting and I have been waiting 6 weeks for a replacement!
Absolutely shocking - I’m raw vegan and depend on my blender for nearly all of my food.
No spare could be sent or found, no replacing of the whole machine could be warranted, even though I’ve stressed so many times - I cannot make my good and it’s not my fault I have received such a faulty machine.
Vitamix obviously don’t care about customers of loyalty and I simply haven’t got another £800 to go and buy another blender.
To wait this long and to keep being told “next week”, is totally unacceptable & unprofessional.
I will never buy a vitamix again and I will let anybody I know on social media - the horrendous service and company - it has now become…
Replacement blender jar on warranty.
Replacement blender jar on warranty.
No replies to emails which held me up for a for over a week at the start, so you'r far more likely to get a response by calling. I think they are short staffed. But then require an email with all your purchases info to proceed. This one they replied to quickly.
I since have been waiting for 25 days to receive the replacement 2lt jar. I called today to ask when I can expect it to be told that they 'hope' to have more in stock next month as they have been out of stock for some time.
This is a brand renowned for customer service in the US, unfortunately letting themselves down in the UK.
The staff are pleasant and I’m sure it must be frustrating for them too.
Very expensive and terrible customer…
Very expensive and terrible customer service. This product is not worth the money. It struggles with even the most basic blending. Customer service does everything to ignore customers. Very disappointing.
Absolute garbage and for the price just…
Absolute garbage and for the price just keep away. It can't even make a smoothie without overheating and cutting out. Have to then leave it to fully cool down before finishing it off.
Absolutely appalled by the service…
Absolutely appalled by the service provided so far by Vitamix. Would not recommend for anyone to deal with them. My vitamix was faulty after 3 months of buying it, i sent it to the Vitamix warehouse since there is a warranty. It has been 3 weeks since i sent it, it has supposedly been repaired and sent back to a different customer (or lost). Rude customer service phone lines to top it off. They promise a callback in the day with more information on the devices whereabouts , yet they fail to give even a courtesy call. They can’t even acknowledge their own mistakes, let alone rectify them!!
Room for improvement
Julie and Becky did a wonderful job in processing my warranty for a jug replacement
It took 10 days from start to finish
Emails didn’t get a response so ended up calling with a wait of 20mins
As others have said after sales service has room for improvement and I think they are short staffed more than anything else
This is my second warranty claim in the past 5 years and overall happy as I use the Vitamix every single day
I thought I was buying the best…
I thought I was buying the best blender….I definitely bought the most expensive one on the market. A couple of years down the line it fails. I try all the hacks in line to get it going again….no luck. I contacted customer service, or customer no service at all as it should be called. They are slow, unhelpful and weeks down the line I still have a deal blender. Go for the cheaper options on the market, this really is not worth the money!!
Great blender let down by customer service
The blender itself is great, until it stopped working. I sent it to Novo for repair about a month ago, paid for the repairs, and I still haven't received it.
Novo is blaming their courier (FedEx) for not being able to deliver it. I called the courier on a few occasions to try to organize a delivery, even opting that they deliver it to one of their own depots, and I still haven't received it.
I assume that at this point I have lost both my money and the blender. Thanks to this service I would not buy a Vitamix product again, at least not in the UK.
Vitamix blender Novo support and...
Vitamix blender that was purchased approx. 3 years ago failed. After reading the posts here I thought that I was going to be in for a bit of a rough go. Novo now handles all repair/support for Vitamix. If you attempt to contact them via email they will eventually get back to you. I started using their phone support line. Never waited for more than a minute to talk with someone. Information given was accurate/knowledgeable. Novo took delivery of the blender on a Wednesday. Repaired/Fixed/Returned the following Thursday.
I been waiting for a replacement jug…
I been waiting for a replacement jug for a more than month. Today I decided to call customer service in US to complain and speed things up.
Very poor experience of a supposedly prestige product.
I purchased the Ascent 3500i in September last year from John Lewis. These blenders are very expensive and this was a birthday gift but I chose it because of the 10 year 'full' warranty and thought that John Lewis was a trusted seller. The first 'fault' symbol appeared in April-reported to John Lewis-told to contact the Company ( Novo). After a few days the symbol disappeared so carried on using. In June the blender stops working altogether. Poor Customer service response from John Lewis but eventually sent away to Novo who replaced the Motor and the drive socket ! Returned to me-did not work at all-the same 'fault' symbols as April which comes and goes so haven't used it at all since returned.John Lewis tell me to contact Novo again who say it has to go back for repair !!!! Likely needs a 'service' ?? It is less than a year old ! Apparently John Lewis no longer offer their own guarantee-only the manufacturers guarantee so won't intervene!
Don't expect any customer service!! rip-off
You pay 3x the price to get a Vitamix and there is literally no Customer service. You send emails after emails and no on is getting back to you. I don't know how they can get away with such premium price tags and such a poor customer service... avoid!
