We stayed in the ‘White Hill House 4’ unit for 4 nights, and it was exactly as we expected as depicted in the pictures, along with the very detailed, professional descriptions and explanations. Julie was incredibly attentive and went to great trouble to follow up and check that everything was fine. The location is ideal for us, despite being on the rather busy Balham Mill Rd through Clapham, but only one bedroom faces that side, and with the double glazing really wasn't an issue. The apartment is very modern and recently renovated, with the main bedroom and living area facing down the inner gardens between Gaskarth & Cathles Rds, with a beautiful veranda for lovely days and evenings. Both bedrooms are en-suite. The place is well kitted out with everything once could need. Across the road from an M&S and Majestic Wine shop, and a block from Tesco's, Clapham Common and the Clapham South tube station. With our son now living just around the corner, we most definitely won't hesitate to be back.

White Hill House 1 is 2 mins walk from Clapham common and Clapham South Tube, with everything you need on the doorstep (M&S Food, Tesco and Sainsbury). Julie, the host, was fantastic; quick responses, very clear instructions, probably our most professional airbnb host we have had. The apartment is modern, clean with great TV (even logs you out of Netfilx on departure) and good size lounge and bedroom. Kitchen is decent size. We stayed for 7 days and it was perfect. One point to note is the apartment is on the main road but the triple glazing in the bedroom reduced any noise sufficiently for us.

We loved the proximity of shops and public transport, cafes and restaurants. The apartment was well equipped with inclusions that made life easier - not having to rush out to buy tea, coffee, salt and pepper etc. However, traffic noise was loud and constant and the apartment rather warm.

We had a lovely stay at Clapham South 1. Julie greeted us when we arrived. She helped answer any questions we had, along with providing a tour of the accommodation. I did not realize that our accommodation included a lift access, which made it all the easier to bring our luggage up. The area guide in our apartment helped us find our way around and included a comprehensive apartment manual to refer to when needed. The apartment is well-maintained and sparkling clean. The kitchen included plenty of equipment for us to use, with plenty of room to store produce. I loved how they included coffee pods for the Nespresso machine, as it made the jet lag much easier to deal with. We thoroughly enjoyed the balcony in the mornings, which overlooks the garden.

We were also able to stay at Whitehill House 4 on our return from traveling to Spain. Yet another beautiful accommodation in the Clapham area! I would highly recommend it if you are traveling with the kiddos. One of my favourite parts was the hidden full bathroom behind the closet, which made it seem like a secret hideaway. The apartment also includes a roof terrace to enjoy with a full seating area. I found the blackout curtains to be perfect for sleeping in, and the bedding was extremely comfortable. There are plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, and coffee shops nearby, and the tube (Clapham South Station) is just down the street. Clapham also includes a fantastic green space, making it great for picnics and long walks. If you have the chance, I recommend going to Abbeville Road (only a 10 min walk from the apartment) there are plenty of shops, pubs, and bakeries in a charming neighbourhood. We were looking for a comedy show to see, and Julie recommended the Banana Cabaret, which we went back to twice! We had a fantastic stay and appreciated the host's quick response. I would highly recommend them for any duration of stay in London

Stayed for a week at Clapham South 1. Apartment has everything I needed, was clean and really stylish. Julie was very welcoming and made extra effort to make sure we had what we needed - including an area guide!

Great experience recently with Madison Hill - stayed in their Fernlea Garden 2 apartment.

A lovely apartment, spacious, clean, well maintained and comfortable, with outdoor space too. Lovely artwork in the living space and fluffy bathroom towels, I was almost tempted to sneak one in my suitcase. There is on street parking, a rarity in itself in London, which you can pay for using machines or an app. Managed to park right outside too.

Located just a short walk from Balham tube station it was really easy getting to the Oval to watch the cricket. There are lots of great places to eat and plentiful coffee shops around. Blue Fig did a great breakfast and Hooper Coffee with pastries were very tasty.
We highly recommend Madison Hill for their service and would happily stay again in the future.

I was very happy dealing with the office guys, it all went super smoothly and I felt informed at every stage. Then I was even happier with the flat and the location. There are shops, restaurants and bars all within a few steps of the door, as well as Clapham South tube, and Clapham Common is 2 minutes walk away.
The flat itself was light and airy, and looked like it had recently been decorated to a great standard. It had all the mod cons I'd expect of a self-contained hotel apartment - I absolutely covet the coffee-maker, and need to get that model for myself!
The views from the terrace were awesome too, an almost 360° panorama of London! I was worried that it would be noisy sitting outside, with all the traffic, but it wasn't bad at all. Plus the convenience of being literally seconds away from the tube station into central London was more than enough to compensate for the odd louder noise that I did notice. Leaving and going home was sad but it was made as easy and convenient for me as possible, thank you! All in all it was a superior experience, and I'll 100% be recommending them to anyone who'll listen!

Just back from a 5 day visit to London with my daughter. We stayed at a flat in Clapham and it was lovely. Great facilities and attention to detail. Spotlessly clean. Highly recommended!

The apartment was spacious, clean and the location was absolutely great. There are grocery stores literally seconds away and the underground 50m away. Lots of restaurants within walkable distance and couple of nearby parks. the apartment is very safe with keyed access all the way from the main gate. Wifi was great within the apartment. Kitchen was clean with all the necessities - pans, silverware, cups, plates etc were of good quality. The washer dryer works great and there were ironing board and iron available.

The host was very helpful and accommodating - right from the moment we arrived. There were two booklets with instructions and local recommendations upon arrival and two sets of keys making life much easier. It really felt like home - when I visit again, this would be on the top of my list to stay.

Upon arrival, we found the patio door open and the rental had a swarm of flies. Also, the home was not clean. We spent hours cleaning. The home smelled badly. The bedding had other peoples’ hair on them, and several pillows were worn-out/discolored. The cleaner brought us a new duvet cover and it had hair inside it. The beds are hard. Many of the kitchen appliances were filthy and the dishes/utensils had hair/food on them. The kitchen table glass top was not attached to the base and easily slides off. The floors were not clean and had sticky spills on them. The carpets are stained/dirty and need replacing. The small bathroom is uncomfortable to use. The rain shower head in the small enclosure was frustrating. The tiny sink is the size of a prison sink and water went all over the floor; we continually had to mop. The 2nd bathroom has a raised bathtub, which was dangerous to get in and out of and many of the shower head nozzles were broken so water sprayed everywhere. My father was unable to get into the bathtub due to the raised height.

We expressed how important cleanliness is to us prior to arrival and requested “no surprises when we arrive, i.e. stray hairs, stained bedding, dirty/unmopped floors, etc.”, which the manager noted “I can personally guarantee to you that the levels of cleanliness are of the highest.” We were disappointed that we had to clean upon arrival. Just as disappointing was how management handled our complaints. Two managers came over the next morning. It was apparent that their goal was to defend and deflect instead of listen with sincere concern. Everything we said was followed with eye rolls and defensiveness. She was rude and dismissive. Not once has she offered a sincere apology for anything. Examples: we showed them the spills on the floors and the response was that’s just a couple of spills, no big deal, but what that meant was the entire floor was not mopped. The tea kettle had a sticky film inside and spills on the outside. Food was falling out of the toaster which she said is normal. The response to us asking for a new coffee maker was “The reserve coffee machine from our office will be cleaned and delivered. I’m sorry, but our property owner can’t supply a new coffee machine to each set of guests.” We never said anything about supplying a new coffee machine to each new guest; this comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. If the appliances had been cleaned after each guest, they would not have been in poor condition and need replacing. We stayed in 3 hotels while in Europe and never had any issues with the cleanliness. They replaced the appliances, some bedding, and shower head and sent someone to finish cleaning.

PLEASE do not advertise that there is a dryer if it does not dry! Americans, if you want a dryer, DO NOT select a rental with a combo washer/dryer; THEY DO NOT DRY. We would have never stayed here if we knew the dryer didn’t dry. It took 7 hours to dry underwear. For weeks, we had 4 people hanging clothes, sheets, and towels all over the place. Everything was wrinkled and stiff.

We found ear plugs on the bed for our arrival. I’ve seen chocolates left on a bed but never ear plugs. We quickly discovered the reason. The tenants/dog living above us were noisy. It’s normal for kids/dogs to run and play and dogs bark, but it was difficult to take work calls and sleep. The 2nd bedroom is noisy from street traffic. Also, consider adding blackout curtains for the bedrooms to block light and heat.

Amenities: the cookies were past date and the creamer was old and some were opened. We discarded them, so hopefully the next tenants will get fresh items.

There is ceiling/wall water damage in the living room and paint/drywall was falling on the floor.

Edit to address manager’s response:
2. We would not complain about kids and dogs living their normal life.
4. The blinds are not blackout and the suggestion to add blackout curtains was simply a recommendation to help guests, but once again this was met with defensiveness.
5. Your visits were within our first 36 hours and it was cold outside so fans were less needed. The fans were out during your visits and they were used regularly.
6. Cookies/creamers: what you have in stock has no bearing on how long these items had been in the apartment and not checked.
7. We should not need to contact you about visible issues that should have been resolved before having tenants. We spent enough of our vacation contacting you about issues that you should have been aware of.

None of our claims are false and Trustpilot has not made it easy to post a negative review.

As for our kindness regarding the broadway show, we are kind and generous people. Writing an honest review doesn’t negate this. We had no ill-will towards the family above us and would have loved for them to enjoy the show.

Great apartment, very close to everything you need in Balham and only a short tube ride to central London. Balham is a bustling hub with plenty of cafes, restaurants and parks nearby.

The apartment itself is very modern and clean. While there is a train line that is behind the property, it isn't that bad and train services do quieten down overnight.

The owner is great and very accommodating as well.

We styed with Madison Hill in Byrne Grds 3 flat when our completion on new home took longer than expected. Julie helped with immediate solutions and was very accommodating and helpful which was an immense help during a very stressful family move.

We had the best time at Julie’s property!

She’s an amazing host and we’ll definitely use her services again!

I’ve stayed with Madison Hill twice now and have rebooked for two more stays. They’re friendly, easy to do business with, incredibly good value for money and their property is perfect for me and sometimes my family. I use it for business and leisure and can confidently recommend them to you.

The location of this apartment is amazing. It is close to shops, green space and the underground making it ideal to get around. The apartment itself if well maintained and clean. Julie and Andrew from Madison Hill Management have been amazing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a self-contained apartment in London.
