Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless. Not at all interested in undertaking more than a cursory assessment of my situation, ignoring their own code of conduct, and clearly biased towards Octopus. They provide a veneer of consumer protection that is hollow is practice.

Utterly worthless 'assurance'
In our case they proved utterly useless. Their member company (EDF Contact-Solar) ignored the HIES code of conduct apparently without consequences.
They only agreed to investigate our 'allegations' IN SECRET after considerable prodding on our part.
They appeared to be there for their members not the end user of the solar system.
We are left to conclude that HIES does not provide the ASSURANCE that they and their members advertise.

Heat Pump Installation Management
HIES made sure our heat pump was correctly installed to a high standard, keeping us informed and working seamlessly with Octopus Energy. Afterwards sending us all appropriate paperwork and advising us on next steps if anything was needed.

The Tesla product does what we want
The Tesla product does what we want. Octopus have a well defined process for installation with, in principle, one point of contact before sales, and one project manager for implementation. The potential is v good. Unfortunately, numerous little problems spoilt the implementation. It took over 8 months to install the battery storage, I had to pay nearly £4k more for new EV chargers I did not need, and some aspects I had to project manage due to the PM not being trained in all aspects. Having said this, the product is good and we are saving money.
