RIP OFF - charged same amount for a 90km journey as a 20km journey
Booked a car from Canggu to Amed, a 3 hour journey. After 20 minutes, plans changed and I had to go back to the pickup location. Gojek charged the full amount, 600k IDR, for a journey that should have cost 100k. Their customer service is useless and very frustrating, probably bots, repeating the same loop of answers. Seems they prefer to rip off a customer and lose them forever than offer a simple and common sense solution. I will never use Gojek again.

Driver Purposely Waited Longer to Take $4 From Me
Driver arrived at location but refused to pick up by entering CDC Driving Centre as it is raining. He called me and told me to walk outside despite the rainy weather and said that he is NOT allowed to go in when I am literally seeing taxis and other cars coming in to pick their passengers up. Driver waited until I was charged a waiting fee of $4 and ONLY cancelled then. Gojek still hasnt responded to me about this. This is SCAMMING your customers.

This platform is the worse with most of the cheapo passengers, lousy customer service, doesn't care for drivers etc.

Driver refused the pick up after arriving. After explaining to GoJek customer support was told the $4 cancellation can’t be refunded as driver did arrived. Did not address the situation even after my feedback on what happened. Based on google reviews it seems there are many such cases

I am extremely disappointed with Gojek’s unfair policy for changing ride destinations. Unlike other ride-hailing apps that recalculate the tariff based on the new destination, Gojek charges you the full fare to the original destination—even if the new destination is much closer.
In my case, I used Gojek in Bali and I changed the destination because the original location would have been closed by the time I arrived. However, I was still charged three times the cost of the new destination! I reached out to Gojek’s support team to explain the situation, but they were unhelpful and unwilling to address the issue.
This policy is unreasonable and penalizes customers for making adjustments. It’s frustrating that Gojek chooses to prioritize unfair terms over providing a fair and logical service. I hope they seriously reconsider this policy, as it’s not in line with customer-first principles. Until then, I cannot recommend this app.

So apparently when you book, u see the trip fare, it is not wad u pay. There are additional hidden cost they did not add and mention, which are driver fee, transaction fee and platform fee. Which are the most ridiculous fees I have seen that they charge outside of the trip fare. They are straight up scamming us. Most disgusting way. And they say it is in their terms n conditions, not upfront at the page. Boycott this app.

Blackmailed by Gojek driver
My wife was picked up by a Gojek driver from our home. The number plate of the car did not correspond to the number plate in the App. The driver explained why and my wife got in the car, but did not feel very comfortable and the driver also appeared not very happy/friendly. She was dropped off at her destination. She gave the driver a 2 star rating with the reason that the number plates did not match. Not long afterwards the driver came to our home to complain, as he got a sanction of not being able to drive for Gojek for 2 days. He was blackmailing my wife that he had a family with 6 children and entered our property until the front door and started shouting and argumenting with family members while my wife tried to rescue the situation. At some point it was decided to both go to the local police station to report the incident. He said that my wife should be happy that he did not report the incident to Gojek and he was looking for a ‘win-win’ situation (basically the impression afterwards was that we paid him for his loss of 2 days not driving for Gojek). My wife was in complete shock afterwards and had difficulties to sleep and cried during night and still is in shock about the incident. To us it is unacceptable that you can’t give an honest rating in an anonymous way with Gijzel and we feel we can’t complain to Gojek as Gojek will likely lay off the driver who has our home address and may retaliate. While we are still in trauma I would suggest to really be careful with these services and if you can meet at a public place it is much safer than at your home address….

Today October 7 my wife got an abuse from a gojek driver, his name is Ali Sodikin. The bike seat is normally for 2 people but he pushed my wife back, so she sat on the metal back on the saddle during the trip. she deserves a complain and she did it but his reply was a rubbish.Be careful if you - the customer gets him. We will never order it anymore if gojek app sends him to us again. I'm her husband.

I have recently stopped using Grab in Bali. Loving Gojek, pricing is fairer, I use Gopay and tip what I want. Every driver on Grab wanted more business outside the platform. One Grab driver
